A Flash Marriage Can Be A Treasure

Chapter 547: He Has Committed Too Much Sin

Chapter 547: He Has Committed Too Much Sin

After dinner, Jessie goes back to the bedroom and waits for Leigh. But Leigh doesn't show up.

The servant comes over and asks, "Mr. Leigh is busy in the study. Mrs. Leigh, do you need a bath?"

Jessie refuses, "I know the layout of the bathroom. I'll wash up later."

"Alright."

There is no cell phone or TV for entertainment, and Jessie can't see anything. She doesn't know what

to do, so she sits on the bed and ponders for a while. Then she gropes her way to the bathroom for a

bath.

An hour later, she comes out of the bathroom the same way.

She accidentally bumps her toes against the cabinet. The severe pain makes Jessie take a deep

breath and slowly squat down.

Perhaps being blind would be disastrous for others. But Jessie has been blind for so long, so she has

become numb.

As for her now, it might be the best if she could not see.

Suddenly, Jessie remembers the conversation with Chace that day.

"I sent someone to investigate and just received the news that one person died of serious injuries in the

hospital and the other had a car accident. Their ashes are placed in the funeral parlor."

No! It is impossible!

Jessie feels dizzy and almost falls to the ground. Her entire body trembles and she forces herself not to

think about that.

Her uncle and aunt must be alive.

It is Leigh who is afraid that she would run away again and hides her uncle and aunt. As long as she

obeys his order obediently, Leigh would definitely let her uncle and aunt visit her tomorrow.

Jessie only has two relatives alive, her uncle and aunt. So she could not lose them.

Jessie tells herself that Leigh is just joking with her. She could see her uncle and aunt tomorrow. She

calms down, goes to bed, and falls asleep.

But Jessie has waited for a long time, and Leigh has never been to the bedroom.

While she is sleeping, the servant knocks on the door and asks, "Do you need to go downstairs for

breakfast, Mrs. Leigh?"

Is it morning already?

Jessie replies to the servant, gropes toward the bathroom to wash up, and then walks out of the

bedroom.

As she goes downstairs slowly, she asks, "Has Mr. Leigh come down yet?"

Leigh has sat down in the dining hall. He sees Jessie groping on the escalator and slowly descending.

The steps are high. He is afraid that she will fall down, so he stands up and quickly walks over to help

her.

"If you can't do it, let the servants help you. Don't be rash," Leigh says.

Jessie agrees.

Jessie settles down. Then Leigh asks her to raise her head and help her with eye drops.

They don't talk to each other while eating.

Under normal circumstance, Leigh is easy to get angry with her and then he will please her for her

forgiveness.

Leigh seems to have been quiet since he threw his chopsticks last night, which makes Jessie at a loss.

After breakfast, Jessie screws up her courage to say, "Yesterday you said..."

"I still remember what I said." Leigh looks at her with a complicated expression, "I'll call your uncle and

ask if they're coming."

At that moment, Jessie's dim eyes light up. She is a little excited.

She knows that her uncle and aunt are not dead!

Jessie grabs her dress and sits nervously, thinking about what she wants to tell her uncle later.

Suddenly, her hand is stuffed with a phone.

Leigh says, "Tell your uncle now."

Jessie's hands are trembling. After a long time, she puts the phone to her ear. She takes a light breath,

and a while later, she says tentatively, "Uncle?"

"Jessie, this is uncle." The voice on that side is familiar. "How are you?"

The familiar voice that she has not heard for a long time makes Jessie want to cry.

Jessie wants to ask them about their life, but before she can say anything, her tears run down beyond

control.

"Uncle..." she cries bitterly, unable to say anything.

When she talks to Chace, she really thinks that her uncle and aunt have died, and at that moment, all

her hopes are gone.

"Alright. Good girl, stop crying." Her uncle comforts Jessie and says, "Mr. Leigh is good to us. Your aunt

and I do not want to disturb you in consideration of your poor health."

Jessie holds the phone tightly and chokes up, "Uncle, I miss you so much. Where's my aunt? I want to

talk to her. Can I visit you?"

"Your aunt does not feel well these days because of her old maladies," Charlie said. "I heard from Mr.

Leigh that you are pregnant. You should take good care of the baby. When your aunt is better, we will

go to see you."

"Is aunt's headache serious?" Jessie asks, "I miss you. I want to see you."

"It's not serious. I'm here to take care of her. Jessie, take good care of yourself and your baby. Don't

worry about us."

Jessie sniffs.

"Okay. I'll bring the herbal medicine to your aunt now. I'll call you again." Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

"Uncle..."

Jessie wants to talk more with her uncle, but her uncle has hung up the phone.

Jessie goes to beg Leigh, "Please take me to visit my uncle and aunt. I miss them."

Leigh raises his hand and wipes away Jessie's tears affectionately.

Charlie and his wife have died for a long time. Leigh knows that they are Jessie's last relatives. Jessie

does not want to believe that they are already dead.

To fulfill his words, Leigh calls to search for Charlie's information, record Charlie's voice from the video,

and asks the technologist to adjust it.

The man on the other side of the call just now is just talking to Jessie with Charlie's voice changer.

Jessie holds Leigh's hand and rubs her cheek against his hand, "I just want to see them. One second is

fine. I'll be good, okay?"

"Alright, but you should wait for a while." Leigh lies to her again. "Your uncle told you that your aunt is

sick and needs a rest."

"It doesn't matter. I can wait." Jessie stops crying and says with a relaxed smile, "I know you are hiding

them. You didn't lie to me."

"As long as you are good, they will come to see you after you get better."

"Yes, I will be definitely good."

Perhaps Jessie knows that her uncle and aunt are healthy. Her appetite becomes better. She eats a

bowl of shrimp noodles and does not have a strong pregnancy reaction.

Leigh does not go to the company as usual. He stays with Jessie at home and invites the gynecologist

to the house.

After the gynecologist gives Jessie an examination, Leigh is told that Jessie is in poor health. It's hard

to keep the baby. So it is better to nurture her body first.

Leigh stares out of the window, his face pale and his eyes filled with despair.

He doesn't protect her properly, so Jessie loses their twins. He is also bad to Jessie. He has committed

too much sin, causing her to be unable to keep this baby.

After a while, Leigh says in a hoarse voice, "If it's hard to keep... Alright, Jessie's health is more

important."

He asks the doctor, "When does she have an operation?"

The doctor glances at Leigh and says pitifully, “Take good care of her. I'll check again two weeks later. If

she does not get better, she will have an operation."

The Adam's apple of Leigh slides. Finally, Leigh agrees.
