While Skylar was staring absentmindedly out of the car window, Tobias raised his hand and gently

patted her head. “Stop allowing your imagination to run wild. Focus on something positive instead. You

spend too much time online, either engrossed in such matters or watching that male streamer.”

Skylar's heart skipped a beat when she heard what he said. She asked, “How did you find out about

that? I just thought he was engaging and humorous.”

The descriptions were in complete contrast to Tobias' personality, as the man always had a stern and

unsmiling demeanor, appearing exceptionally intimidating. Since I'm not engaging and humorous, maybe she was just seeking a way to entertain herself.

Tobias dropped Skylar off to where her director was, as she would have to take part in the upcoming

movie promotion unconditionally.

After unbuckling her seatbelt, Skylar contemplated giving Tobias a hug to express her gratitude for the

ride. However, she noticed Ingrid within her line of sight at that moment.

Pointing toward the three o'clock direction, Skylar said, “Aren't you gonna say hello to your sister?

She's right there.”

Tobias shrugged his shoulders indifferently. “Why should I? We're not close.”

Skylar abandoned the idea, coming to the realization that there was no sibling bond between them.

After all, they did not come from the same mother.

Skylar had no insight into Avery's married life either, nor did she have the time to concern herself with

it. However, the thought of Avery getting married just like that troubled her.

That was because, despite Avery not being entirely blameless, Skylar had indirectly made Avery marry

Charles, which was akin to ruining Avery's whole life as Skylar could tell that Charles possessed all the

From a distance, Ingrid spotted Tobias' car before crossing paths with Skylar in the corridor. Her eyes

Impressive. You must have quite the influence to have him as your personal driver so early in the

morning.”

Skylar knitted her brows. “He's dropping me off since we were heading the same way. There's nothing

unusual about it.”

Ingrid took every chance to provoke Skylar. She taunted, “Oh, really? I heard that Ford Group is going

to sign a contract with Saorise and feature her in their advertisements. But why didn't Tobias consider

you in the first place?”

Everyone in the industry knew about the deal between Ford Group and Saorise now.

Skylar lifted her head, a hint of arrogance in her eyes as she retorted, “Seems like you're more

concerned about this than my manager.”

Ingrid could not help but find it amusing to see the jealous expression on Skylar's face. Maybe deep down, she's upset that her man has chosen another woman for the endorsement.

The promotional schedule was packed, and the director publicly claimed that the box office would

surpass one billion.

Skylar made the decision to show her support without any expectations, intrigued to see how the film
