The corridor outside the ward was quiet. Samara was wearing high heels. She was afraid that the sound would be loud, so she slowed down.

There were only two of them in the empty elevator. Samara was standing in front, and Roland was standing behind her. When the elevator reached the first floor, Roland suddenly said, “Why do you believe me?”

Samara walked out of the elevator and turned to look at him. She raised her eyebrows. “Mr. Walter told my father.”

Roland did not expect this answer. He clicked his tongue, and the expression on his face seemed to be much happier.

The two of them walked out of the building and saw the car sent by Jimena. The driver got out of the car and opened the door. “Ms. Novak, Mr. Garza.”

Samara glanced at Roland and got into the car. “Let’s go to the Ritz-Carlton first.”

“Okay, Ms. Novak.”
