Chapter 416 I Was So Lucky To Have You Around (Part One)

"Violet, I know this may be hard for you. But can you think about keeping the baby?

The baby is already three months old. Don't you feel any attachment to him or her yet? How can you

just give up on the baby?" William asked in disbelief.

A deep furrow appeared between his brows as he held the colored ultrasound paper in his hand.

No matter what happened between him and Violet, this was still a life they were talking about. After all,

it was his own flesh and blood. How could he just let her have an abortion so casually like that?

"Haha. That's hilarious, Mr. William. Did you completely forget what you have said to me earlier? What?

She couldn't eat or sleep well for the past two months. Since she didn't take good care of herself, she

Violet violently opened the door and stormed out of the room.

feeling more refreshed.

Carla was also feeling hurt seeing her friend in pain. Violet's eyes were red and puffy from crying. Carla

let out a deep sigh. She stared at Violet's belly and asked, "What are you going to do with the baby?"

When Violet and William were in the room, she heard a bit of their conversation. It never occurred to

her that Violet was pregnant with William's child.

It was the last thing that she would have imagined. As a friend, Carla didn't have any suspicions that

Violet was having a baby.

"So you heard our conversation? Don't worry. I'm going to keep the baby. I didn't mean it when I told

him that I was getting an abortion. I just wanted to piss him off and show him that he can't control me."

Violet wiped some of the tears from her face and forced out a smile.

"So you want to keep the baby? What's are your plans for the future?" Carla was surprised when she

heard Violet's decision. It was not an easy thing for an unmarried woman to raise a child alone after all.

"I will raise the baby on my own. Having an abortion is the easy way out. It can help me move on from

William and get on with my own life. But this baby has been in my body for some time now. I've

developed a fondness and attachment to him. He is so strong and survived all the crises that we were

going through together. As his mother, I can't just give up on him like that. He deserves to live."

Violet's eyes filled with love. "From now on, I will take better care of myself and prepare myself for

motherhood. If I'm going to give birth to a fat and healthy baby, I need to start preparing now. No matter

what, at least I will have a child to keep me company in the future. I won't be alone because I'll have

him!"

Carla was skeptical during the first half of Violet's speech. But by the second half, Carla could only

deeply sigh again. She reached gently for Violet's hands. "Violet, how about you move in with me? If

can take good care of you if needed."

worriedly asked. She grabbed Violet's hands tightly, looking anxious.

"I haven't thought about it yet. There are so many suitable places out there. But no matter where I end

up, I promise you that I will take good care of myself, okay?"

Violet slightly shook her head and tightly squeezed Carla's hands. "Carla, do you know? Sometimes I

feel so jealous of you. You have a loving mother and a loving man in your life, whereas I don't have

either. But we all have our own destiny. I've already accepted it and I don't blame anyone for it.
