Chapter 418 It Was Better To Be Late Than Never (Part One)

After hearing her question, Terence couldn't help but burst into laughter. Then, he let out a sigh, placed

his arms around her waist and ushered her to walk towards the rails in front of them.

"What do you mean? Carla, I'm not interested in knowing their personal affairs. Besides, I don't have

any idea about what happened between them. So I can't answer your question," Terrence replied.

Although he could gather information from his resources, he was already caught up in work every day.

So he didn't have time to know what was going on with William and Violet. And if he were being honest,

he wasn't interested at all.

It suddenly occurred to Carla that Terrence didn't have any idea about the whole story of William and

Violet, so she simply told him about it.

After which, she asked, "I mean if you were William who was forced to take those medications and had

a child with another woman, what would you have done?" Carla stared at him earnestly, waiting for a

specific response.

What Terence really wanted to tell her was that he had also been forced to take some medicine before.

At that time, however, he didn't lay a finger on the woman. With all his strength, he bit his teeth and

tried everything he could to hold back the overwhelming desire that he was feeling. He even asked a

doctor to give him a dose of tranquilizer.

However, Carla didn't know that such an incident happened.

"Well, if I were him..." Terence said as his eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

"Dear, can we not do this?" Terence gave up and sighed.

But Carla just looked at him more deeply and replied, "Come on, just answer my question."

Instead, Terence looked at the time on his watch, placed his arms around her shoulder once again and

pulled her along with him out of the garden. It was time for them to pick up the wedding rings.

"If the same thing happened to me, I think I'll figure out a way out of the baby thing. Although what she

did wasn't illegal, it was morally wrong. And there is no way I'm going to have a child with such a

devious woman!" Terence finally stated.

"Well, what if your father got in the way and somehow forced you into marrying her?"

Carla asked

while they continued walking.

"I will never let him make that decision for me." Terence's tone changed and the determination was now

apparent in his voice.

If Edmund had any say in his relationships, he would have married Megan instead of Carla.

"But..." Carla started. She was obviously worried, so Terence cut her off immediately.

"Carla, I will never let those kinds of things happen to you or hurt you in any way. Nothing and no one

will come between us as long as you love me and I love you. All right? So please stop worrying and

don't let other people's lives and decisions ruin our day. It's supposed to be an exciting day for us,

okay? Let's go and pick up our wedding rings!"

Terence tried to cheer up the mood as he softly dragged her towards the car.

He understood that women had a tendency to be like this. They would overthink and worry a lot even if

there was nothing to be distressed about.

Carla didn't usually overthink and worry about a lot of things. But this thing happened to one of her best

friends. So it might have affected her a lot and she wanted to talk to him about it. Terence could

understand her worries, so he just tried his best to comfort her and hopefully ease the anxiety that she

was feeling.

Carla spent the whole afternoon in the jewelry store. She was preoccupied with choosing additional

jewelry that she was going to wear at the wedding. If she was being honest, she was overwhelmed with

all kinds of options in front of her. She needed to choose a necklace, bracelets, hair accessories,

maybe even a watch. Did she want to wear a watch on their wedding? Silver or gold? Rubies or

diamonds? These were just some of the questions that she had to answer as rows and rows of jewelry

were presented in front of her. The good thing was that she didn't have to worry about the wedding

rings since they were specially designed for them, and had their unique marks on the surface.

In reality, an immense headache was starting to build up inside of Carla. Who knew that simply

choosing jewelry would be so complicated? Although she had a stylist to help her with it, she still had

the final say with every specific detail of the jewelry. Her stylist just trimmed down the options for her.

Besides, Carla didn't want to do it halfheartedly, nor did she want strangers to make these decisions for

her. This was their wedding after all. She wanted to be as involved and hands-on as she could.

Compared to Carla, Terence didn't have a lot to do, since men didn't usually have a lot of complicated

details that they needed to go through and decide on.

Although the whole process was complicated and tedious, Carla tried to be patient about all the details

of the wedding. Because it was their wedding, she wanted it to be perfect.

In the following days, Terence hired someone to redecorate the interior of the Seaview Villa.

Fortunately, the designer and contractor worked really efficiently so it didn't take a long time for them to

get the work done. Terence even brought some custom-made furniture for the house beforehand.

There were strict processes done with those pieces of furniture. All the furniture had to be tested by

professionals. After they made sure that there were no problems with the pieces, such as excessive

formaldehyde, only then could they be shipped to the Seaview Villa.

Time goes by really fast when one gets caught up in a lot of things.

Everyone was really busy and in a rush in the following days.

Sophie and the other servants were in a hurry tidying up the Villa since it would be Carla and Terence's

house soon. Each nook and cranny had to be wiped, swept, polished, fragrant, etc. They were very Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

detailed so that the Villa would be spotless.

As for Nathan and Rainer, one of them was responsible for protecting Terence, the other one had to do

the things that Terence asked.

Although they had a professional team that was in charge of the wedding festivities, there were still a

lot of things to do.
