Chapter 524: It's Obvious He Favors Her

"Why were you standing at the door?" Lily doesn't want Chandler to hear what they were talking about,

so she's worried, "What did you hear?"

Chandler chuckles, "I heard you quarrel with Louis and say that Louis is annoying."

"That's all?"

"Lily, did you and Louis even fight?" Chandler's eyes gleam, "Did you win?"

It turns out that Chandler didn't hear everything she was talking about with Louis.

Lily feels relieved. Rolling her eyes at Chandler, she snaps, "What are you thinking in your little head?

Why would we fight? Besides, he is a man. Do you think he would hit a pregnant woman?"

"It's possible." Chandler throws some grapes into his mouth and says unclearly, "Lily, don't you notice

that you're bad-tempered when you are with Louis? You always scold Louis. It's not impossible that you

hit him."

Hearing this, Lily's face darkens right away, "Bad-tempered? How?"

"According to my observation, you are indeed bad-tempered." Chandler is so sure. Then, he explains,

"The last time you brought Mr. John over, you were a gentle woman with a gentle voice. But you are a

grump when you are with Louis, and you are always mad at him. Besides, you just said that he was

annoying."

'Is it true?'

Lily doesn't know what to say. She thinks for a moment and realizes that it seems the case. She has

never noticed it.

"Lily, do you still like Louis?" Chandler whispers with curiosity in his eyes. "I heard that women only act

like that when they are with people they like. And they don't have to worry about the consequences."

Grabbing a few grapes and putting them into Chandler's mouth, Lily glares at Chandler, "No! Stop

talking and eat your grapes! You are almost as annoying as Louis."

Chandler's mouth is full of grapes, so he's unable to say a word. And he feels aggrieved.

'I must be right and have touched a nerve.'

'She's embarrassed and cross now. It's the best evidence!'

Lily thinks Chandler annoying, so he goes to the kitchen to watch Louis cooking.

Chandler thought that Louis was so confident in cooking because he learned it in some cooking school.

However, when Chandler enters the kitchen and sees Louis' clumsiness, Chandler's lips twitches.

"Louis...." After watching for a while, Chandler can't help but say, "If you don't know how to cook, we

can order takeout. There are stores not closing now."

He still remembers the bun that Louis made last time, and he doesn't want to eat something like that

again.

"I didn't ask for your advice." Louis says without looking back. Seeing that the oil in the pan gets hot, he

takes the egg, knocks it on the side of the pan, and puts it in the pan.

There are some grease stains on his shirt sleeve that is rolled up to his elbow. It gets dirty.

Louis doesn't care and says to Chandler, "Take out the noodles and tell Lily to eat them."

"Alright." Chandler takes out some tissues and wipes his hands.

The kitchen counter isn't very high, so Chandler can take the noodles by standing on tiptoe.

They are beef noodles, rich in ingredients.

Chandler sniffs. It smells good. He feels that he thinks wrongly of Louis. Although Louis looks as

clumsy as a person who barely cooks, the noodles seem good.

Chandler takes the noodles out and shouts into the living room, "Lily, come eat beef noodles!"

Chandler rubs his hands and happily goes to the kitchen to bring another bowl.

But he finds that there are only green onions in the other bowl besides noodles.

"Louis, this is mine?" Chandler looks up at Louis and asks him with confusion, "Shouldn't it be covered

with lots of beef? Where's the beef?"

Louis replies in a casual tone, "I didn't bring much fresh beef. It's all in Lily's bowl."

"Seriously, Louis?" Chandler complains with an aggrieved face, "I am also a child!"

"I know!" Louis takes the fried egg out of the pan and carefully places it in the bowl held in Chandler's

hand, "Fried eggs are nutritious, and you request it."

Chandler pauses.

The fried egg is not whole. It's clear that it's made by an unskilled cook.

Louis wipes off the oil stains on his hands. Seeing Chandler still standing there with the bowl, Louis

raises his eyebrows and says, "What? It's not enough? Then I'll make another one for you? There are a

lot of eggs here."

Chandler pouts, "Louis, you're not being fair. There are lots of beef, and I can't even get one piece!"

Louis smiles and says, "Do you still want to eat the noodles?"

Seeing that Louis is about to take the bowl from him, Chandler runs away with it.

Lily doesn't want to eat them at first.

However, she has vomited up everything he ate today, and she barely ate anything at night, so she

feels hungry now.

She moves slowly to the dining table and sees the beef noodles, which is steaming and smell good.

Then, she sees Chandler running out of the kitchen with a bowl in his hands.

Lily pulls the chair and sits down. Seeing that there is only one fried egg in Chandler's bowl, she says

in surprise, "You like fried eggs so much that you don't even eat beef?"

Chandler opens his mouth and is about to say something when he sees Louis' cold eyes.

Louis is getting out of the kitchen and staring at Chandler. Chandler feels that if he says something

about the beef to Lily, Louis will teach him a lesson. So he doesn't complain.

Instead, Chandler smiles at Lily, "Yes. Fried eggs are nutritious. I love them! Lily, you're pregnant. You

need to eat more beef. Let's dig in!"

"The beef is also delicious. I'll give you some."

"No, thanks!" Chandler changes the position of his bowl, keeping it away from Lily, "I always eat at

Chloe's place and eat too much beef. You can have it!"

Lily thinks that Chloe is picky about her food, so it's impossible for Chloe to eat beef every meal.

Besides, Lily finds that the beef in her bowl seems to be better than that in the supermarket and that it

smells different.

However, since Chandler doesn't like eating beef, Lily doesn't insist, and she starts eating.

Having eaten only a mouthful, she pauses.

Seeing her like that, Louis thinks that she may be not feeling well and goes over to ask her, "What's

wrong...?"

"What the hell?" Chandler frowns and interrupts, "Louis, it's fine that the noodles are underdone and

not seasoned with other seasonings. But don't you even put salt?"

It is "mild" indeed!

Hearing Chandler complain about the noodles he cooked, Louis feels embarrassed.

Then, with an embarrassed face, he tries to explain, "Lily is pregnant and should eat less salt. But I've

put salt in the fried egg. If you don't like the mild soup, go to the kitchen and add some salt in it."

Chandler is speechless.

He rolls his eyes at Louis.

After having some soup, Chandler still thinks it too mild, so he goes to the kitchen to season it.

Louis tells Chandler to deal with it by himself. However, when facing Lily, he says, "It tastes bad? If you

don't like it, we can order takeout. There are stores not closing. What do you want to eat?"

Chandler happens to come out of the kitchen with the bowl in his hand. Hearing it, he's more

speechless.

He's been treated nicer when living with Chloe!

"Never mind. Takeout takes time. I can't wait for you to leave!" Lily says with a cold face. She doesn't

like the taste, but she is still eating.

The noodles are not seasoned, so they are mild. But the beef is well pickled and delicious.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
