A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 297

Chapter 297

Chapter 297 Jace thought of seeing Sage first.

However, Sage was not at Rosa Garden.

Zamora supervised the maids in putting away the gift boxes in the storage room. The front yard was filled with all sorts of gifts and the maids were all over the place, trying to tidy up. Zamora then noticed a familiar black car pulled over by the entrance. Walking over to the car, she greeted, “Sir, can I help you with anything?” Jace had his eyes fixed on the yard that was filled with heaps of gift boxes. His dark eyes clouded.

With a low voice, he replied, “I’m here to see Sage Norah.”

Staring at him, Zamora felt a little displeased as she did not like the fact that Jace addressed Sage with her full name. She believed that someone as respectable as Sage should be addressed more politely.

“My apologies, Sir. Ma’am is not in at the moment. If you wish to see her, perhaps you might want to give her a call, or maybe visit another day? Please forgive me for being unable to let you in.” She then ordered the guards to shut the main gate. Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

Zayne quickly explained, “We’re simply here to send our gifts. It’s Miss Sage’s birthday today, isn’t it? Mister Jace prepared several gifts for her and was hoping to give her these in person.”

. At the mention of Mister Jace, Zamora knew right away who the person sitting in the car was.

Glaring intently at Jace, Zamora thought to herself that this was the heartless and ruthless man that broke Sage’s heart.

“I see. You’re here to send your gifts.”

Zamora replied indifferently but she had no intentions of letting them in. She then said to the maids, “Be careful when moving the gifts, they’re all expensive and precious, make sure not to drop them. Also, make sure to put aside the gifts that ma’am had yet to open.”

She then turned around to look at Jace. With a conflicted look on her face, she said, “Sir, as you can see, we received a lot of gifts that both the storage room and the yard are filled up entirely. We barely have any walking space left in the living hall too. I’ll let ma’am know about your visit but I think it’s best if you keep the gift to yourself, or perhaps give it to some other lady.” She then turned around and ordered, “Shut the gate!” The main gate of Rosa Garden was shut right in front of Jace’s eyes. “Hey, is this how the Norahs treat their guests?” Zayne yelled frustratingly but was immediately dragged away by Jace. As soon as he got into the car, Jace ordered the driver to drive to Bridge Lane. If Sage was not at Rosa Garden, then she must have been at Tasteful Restaurant. He guessed

that only Sage would have the money and influence to book the entire restaurant. Did she have the entire restaurant booked to celebrate her birthday? Why did she not inform him? A fresh swell of frustration welled up in his chest. Making a call to Yoel, he questioned , “Are you at Sage’s birthday party?”

On the other end of the call was Yoel who sounded defeated, “I wanted to go, but I’m not invited. She said that it was a family dinner and I’m not allowed to attend. She was even going to cook tonight. Just the thought of the table of mouthwatering dishes makes me go crazy.” Something flickered across Jace’s eyes. “Alright.”

Right when he was about to end the call, Yoel added, “Why? Are you planning to go? Now, now, don’t say that I didn’t warn you but her brothers are all attending the dinner. I’m afraid that if you show up, the

dinner event would turn into a battlefield instead. I don’t want you to be dead yet.” With his eyes slowly clouding, Jace hissed coldly, “Even if it’s a battlefield, I have to go no matter what.”

Yoel could only sigh when Jace hung up the call. Why would Jace dig his own grave when he knew that he would not stand any chance against them?

Yoel gestured a praying sign and said a prayer for Jace. “Amen.” As Jace’s best friend, Yoel swore to help collect Jace’s body if anything were to happen to him.
