A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 856: Not Enough

Ranita didn’t want to go, but the situation didn’t allow for any other choice.

Alexia had clearly stated that she didn’t like Brendon and didn’t want to accept him as a son-in-law. Ranita never expected such a situation and now found herself stuck in the middle, feeling extremely troubled.

“I’ll talk to my mom,” Ranita said irritably. “I don’t want to go on blind dates either!”

Brendon saw her still smiling and snorted, “You have no remorse; you’re just brushing me off!”

“Brendon, are you going to eat or not?” Ranita bit her lip, glaring at him with a mix of anger and shyness, looking as beautiful as a peach blossom in spring. This material belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Eat!” Brendon’s gaze moved from her eyes to her lips, then down to her slender neck.

His voice was soft, carrying a hint of sensuality.

Ranita swallowed hard, feeling that his word “eat” had another meaning. The next second, Brendon pulled her over and bit her lip.

Dinner continued.

But Brendon ate quickly and then stared at her with dark eyes, making it impossible for Ranita to focus on eating.

“Brendon, why are you looking at me like that?”

“Are you full?” he asked.

Ranita wanted to shake her head, but Brendon scanned the bill and impatiently dragged her to the parking lot.

He pushed her into the back seat and followed her in, pulling her onto his lap and kissing her deeply.

The kiss was urgent, and Ranita’s teeth were bumped a few times. She whimpered in pain, “Hmm? Don’t do this…”

Brendon caressed her arm slowly, inch by inch, as if setting it on fire. He then pinned her hands behind her back and quickly positioned her legs around his waist.

The intimacy of the position was overwhelming.

All her senses were heightened in an instant.

The kisses and breaths became scorching hot, entwining together and making the atmosphere sticky and ambiguous. Ranita felt shivers running up her spine and tried desperately to escape, but it was like being in the middle of a lake with no support except Brendon.

“Brendon… stop kissing, I can’t breathe…” Her eyes began to redden as if they were burning, and her voice turned soft and delicate.

Ranita’s face turned crimson.

She felt ashamed for making such sounds.

Brendon released her, lifting his chin slightly to look at her. In the dim light, his gaze seemed predatory.

Ranita’s neck turned even redder under his gaze, and she started to feel hot all over.

“Stop it, please?” Ranita quickly tried to appease him. “I’ll go home and tell my mom I won’t go on blind dates anymore…”

As she finished speaking, the bag loosely hanging from her arm suddenly fell.

With a clatter, something spilled out…

Oh no!

Ranita saw the scattered photos and felt a chill run down her spine. She was about to bend down to pick them up when Brendon beat her to it, grabbing a few photos casually…

Brendon glanced at them coldly for a few seconds. “So many?”

“All your blind date candidates?”

It’s over!

Ranita covered her face and muttered, “I can explain…”

Brendon tossed the photos aside and moved to the driver’s seat under Ranita’s shocked gaze. Without a word, he stepped on the gas and drove out of the parking lot.

The car headed straight for a hotel.

By the time Ranita realized what was happening, she was already pressed against the door being kissed by him. The dark hotel room was unlit, with only Brendon’s tall silhouette enveloping her as he kissed her.

His hot breath lingered by her ear. After a long while, Brendon’s gritted words finally came out. He said, “You still have the energy to meet other men; I must not be giving you enough.”
