A Successful Career After Divorce

Chapter 859: Hospitality

“Brendon… you…” Ranita’s small voice was swallowed up, and she felt like a small boat in a storm, drifting without an anchor.

Ranita felt all her strength drain away.

Feeling dizzy and weak, she dressed herself and glared at Brendon with eyes like daggers. “Don’t say a word!”Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.

Ranita searched for her phone and found it full of missed calls.

She immediately called Ayaan back. Ayaan’s voice was filled with grievance, “Mommy, why didn’t you answer the phone? I was so worried about you.”

“Mommy was outside and didn’t hear the phone.” As she spoke, Ranita gave Brendon a sidelong glance. She was too exhausted to even muster the energy to glare properly.

“Ayaan, what are you doing? Are you watching cartoons or reading a book?”

Ayaan sounded even more aggrieved, “Mommy, do you know what time it is? I’m about to go to sleep!”

Ranita checked the time and felt mortified.

She had been entangled with Brendon for over three hours, and now it was past ten at night! Ranita felt too ashamed to face anyone.

“Ayaan… I’m sorry… Mommy didn’t mean to… Mommy…” Ranita tried to explain, but Brendon took the phone from her. His first words were, “Ayaan, it’s Daddy. Mommy is with Daddy.”

“Yes! Daddy and Mommy are planning to give Ayaan a little sister…”

Ranita quickly grabbed the phone back, just as Ayaan excitedly asked, “Mommy, is it true what Daddy said?”

“Are you really going to give me a little sister?” Ayaan was thrilled. “Yay! Mommy, I’m so happy! But can I have both a little brother and a little sister? I can teach my brother to play with toy trains, and I can protect my sister.”

There wasn’t even a shadow of such plans; no need to get so excited!

“Ayaan, Daddy doesn’t have any friends here in Steland, so Mommy took him out for dinner. I’ll be back soon.”

As Ranita was about to hang up, she accidentally put the call on speakerphone. Ayaan’s understanding voice came through, “Oh! So Mommy was just hosting Daddy! Okay, then it’s fine if you come back later!”

“I’m going to sleep now.”

“Goodnight, Daddy and Mommy!” Ayaan obediently hung up, but the word “hosting” still echoed in the hotel room.

Brendon then laughed silently.

He was only wearing a pair of pants, his muscular waist and abs clearly defined, exuding an irresistible allure with every move.

Brendon got up and hugged Ranita from behind. His body radiated warmth that made Ranita blush uncontrollably.

“Brendon… stay away from me.” Ranita tried to pull away, but he held her tightly, his lips gently kissing her ear as he whispered huskily, “Thank you for your enthusiastic hospitality earlier. I really enjoyed it.”

Enjoyed it, my foot!

Ranita glared at Brendon, her eyes red at the corners but sparkling with emotion, looking irresistibly seductive.

“It’s late; I should go back.” Ranita felt that today had been crazy enough. She had been dragged back to the hotel by Brendon and thoroughly ravished.

Although she had enjoyed it, they still had no official status.

“Ranita, don’t go back. Stay here tonight!” The satisfied man now just wanted to hold his wife and kiss her; he couldn’t bear to let go!

Brendon’s breath grew heavy as he rubbed her waist. His eyes darkened with desire.
