The next morning, the triplets were sitting in the dining room, enjoying their meal. Donna looked so nice in her outfit that Ben asked, “When is Sharon coming?” “She’s on her way,” the girl replied.
“Did you pack everything?” Tony asked. “I packed two days ago.”
He nodded.
“Remember, if things get tough during filming, don’t push yourself. Just find Fabian!” Ben advised.
“Yeah, and don’t go anywhere alone. Stick with Sharon if you have nothing else to do!” Tony added.
While eating, Donna stared at her brothers. She couldn’t help but say, “Tony, Ben, why are you acting like Daddy did yesterday? I’m not a little kid. I know what to do.”
The boys looked at each other. Were they being that obvious? “We’re just worried about you!” Ben exclaimed.
Donna couldn’t help but sigh. “Daddy hired a bodyguard to protect me during filming. I didn’t want him to, but I couldn’t change his mind!”
Her siblings’ eyes lit up when they heard that. “Daddy made a smart decision…” Tony commented.
“What do you mean, smart? How about I ask Daddy to hire bodyguards for both of you?” Donna raised an eyebrow.
The boys quickly waved their hands. “No need!”
She smirked. “I don’t need one either, but Daddy said if I don’t agree, he won’t let me be in the movie!”
“Listen to Daddy, Donna. He’s looking out for you!” Ben retorted.
“Yeah. Your secret identity is out now. Even though Daddy tried to hide it, there’s a chance people know. If the news of Morris Corporation’s daughter going on a film shoot spreads, people with bad intentions might come after you for money! So, Daddy’s plan is the right one!” Tony chimed in.
“Fine…” Donna nodded.
“And Sharon has her own bodyguards everywhere she goes. It’s only a matter of time before you need them too, once you become famous,” Ben added.
That made Donna feel better. “You’re right!”
“So, think of this as practice. We believe you’ll be famous soon,” Ben said gently.
She smiled at their support. “Alright. If you both believe in me, I won’t let you down! I’ll work hard during filming!”
“That’s the spirit! Now you look like a true member of the Jackson and Morris family!” Tony smiled at her, and she returned the gesture.
Just then, her phone rang. Seeing it was Sharon, she said, “Sharon must have arrived!”
She answered the call, “Hello? You’re at the entrance? Okay! I’ll be right out!” She twirled around to face her brothers. “I’m leaving now, Tony, Ben!”
“What about your luggage?” Ben asked.NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.
“Mary said she’ll bring it to the entrance!”
Mary was their housekeeper who took care of their everyday lives. Tony nodded. “Let’s go. I’ll take you to the entrance.”
“You’re being so nice to me?” she teased.
“When have I ever not been nice to you?”
“You’re nice, but you also tease me a lot. You should learn from Ben and be even nicer!” she retorted. “Wouldn’t that make you a spoiled princess?”
“Don’t worry, Tony. You’ll find out soon enough. Right now, just take care of yourself!”
They continued to argue as they reached the entrance.
“Don’t come begging me to find you a girlfriend in the future!” Donna exclaimed.
Tony laughed. Surprisingly, he didn’t argue back or try to win the argument. She raised her eyebrows smugly.
Sharon’s minivan had been waiting in front of the entrance for a few minutes. When Sharon saw them, she got out of the vehicle. “Donna!” “Sharon!” The girl hurried over to her.
As Sharon approached Donna, she looked at her outfit and the massive house. “This is your home?”
“My grandpa and great-grandpa bought it together. What’s wrong?”
Sharon bit her lip, thinking for a moment. “In my last movie, the director wanted to rent this place for filming. But he couldn’t even negotiate. No matter how much money he offered, the owner never replied. It delayed the movie’s production for a month. Now I know this is your house. No wonder the negotiation didn’t work. The director must have been so mad. If he knew it belonged to Morris Corporation, he wouldn’t have been as angry…”
After all, no amount of money the producer offered could compare to what Morris Corporation had. Even if the movie gave them all their money, it still wouldn’t be enough.
Donna raised an eyebrow at Sharon’s words. “My grandpa and great-grandpa can be pretty possessive. They don’t like other people messing with their things!”
“I understand. Rich people tend to be like that,” Sharon replied. Donna smiled.
“Shall we go?”
The girl nodded, but turned back to her brothers. “I’m leaving now. You two will have all the freedom for the next few days, but don’t forget to save some good food for me!”
“Don’t worry, you little foodie!” Ben smiled.
Tony turned to Sharon. “Please take care of Donna!”
“Don’t worry. I promise what happened last time won’t happen again!” Sharon reassured him. “Thank you!”
“You’re welcome.”
And so, Sharon and Donna got into the vehicle.
As they drove away, Donna couldn’t help but keep looking back at her brothers.
Even though she already knew the answer, Sharon still asked, “Are you really triplets?”
“Yeah!” The girl nodded, her eyes fixed on her brothers. “Didn’t you know?”
“I just feel like your personality is so different from your brothers’!” Sharon said. “Your second oldest brother hardly smiles and doesn’t express himself much, but when he smiled at you earlier, he looked handsome. And your oldest brother, even though he’s the same age as you two, he acts more mature. It’s interesting.” Sharon chuckled.
As the vehicle pulled away from the building, Donna’s vision of her brothers slowly disappeared. She looked away and sat down.
Sharon noticed a change in her expression. “What’s wrong? Are you unhappy?” She seemed fine earlier.
Donna shook her head. “No, it’s nothing. I just… miss them.”
After Donna left, Ben spoke, his voice filled with concern. “I think Donna is going to be really mad when she finds out about this!”
Tony replied confidently, “It’s okay if she gets angry. It’s better than her putting herself in danger with us! As long as she’s safe, that’s what matters.”
Tony turned to his brother, “By the way, we need to deliver the shipment tonight. Thalia will pick me up later. Are you coming too?”
Ben started thinking, his mind racing with thoughts. “Tonight? Is it really that urgent? Can we make it in time for the flight?”
Tony explained, “The trade is scheduled for midnight, and we have to be at the airport by three in the morning. If I go right after it’s done, we can make it!”
Ben’s eyebrows furrowed as he considered this. “In that case, let’s go together.” Tony nodded, and they both headed back inside.
“Those people from the Moonwalk pack are still around. Aren’t you afraid they’ll come after us if we make our move?” Ben asked, concerned.
Tony responded confidently, “We don’t have much time to waste. We can deal with them later. Besides, we don’t know what arrangements Thalia has made yet, so we have to take care of our business first.”
Ben understood and said, “Okay, let’s go. But before that, let’s go see our Gramps and Great-grandpa for advice.” They both nodded and made their way to their destination.
Meanwhile, Nelly was in a fancy hotel in the Dellmoor Forbidden Forest. She was sitting in front of a computer, typing away on the keyboard. Green code flashed across the screen as she worked.
Suddenly, her phone rang. She picked it up and saw it was Boss calling. Instead of answering, she put it on speaker and continued her work on the computer.
Boss’s voice came through the phone, “It’s me, Ms. Jackson.” Nelly listened quietly, waiting for him to speak.
Boss was surprised by her silence. “I’m already at the hotel and waiting for you. When are we going to meet? Some things are better discussed face-to-face.”
Nelly replied, still focused on her computer, “I’m still thinking about it.”
Boss grew impatient, “What is there to think about?”
Nelly challenged him, “How do I know you’re not hiding something?”
Boss was taken aback by her suspicion. “Didn’t I already explain my motives to you?”
Nelly wasn’t convinced, “How do I know if you’re telling the truth?”
Boss was getting frustrated, “Then what do you want me to do to prove it to you?”
Nelly continued working on the computer, and soon a red dot appeared on the screen. She typed some more, and surveillance footage from a hotel popped up.
When she saw the footage, she sat back and picked up her phone, switching off the speaker. She held it to her ear and told Boss, “I don’t trust you.”
Boss was surprised by her response, “Why not?”
Nelly replied coldly, “I know about my father and his involvement with the Midnight Fang Pack. That’s not something many people know.”
Boss tried to convince her, “You saw the tattoos, didn’t you? The ones on me and your father, they were similar but different. Isn’t that proof enough?”
Nelly remained silent for a moment before demanding, “I need more proof.”
Boss was growing irritated, “Almost all information about your father was destroyed. How can I provide more proof?”
Nelly insisted, “You’ll figure it out. Show me something to gain my trust.”
There was a brief silence before Boss said, “If you don’t believe me, then forget about it. I was only trying to help because I was your father’s friend.”
Nelly’s eyes sparkled, and she was about to hang up when Boss stopped her. “Wait!”
She continued to hold the phone, waiting for him to speak. Boss finally said, “I’ll go to the base and see if I can find more information about your father.”
A small smile appeared on Nelly’s face as she replied, “Thank you in advance for your help.”
Boss reminded her, “I hope you’re as honest as your father, and I hope our deal goes smoothly.”
Nelly ended the call, her focus back on the computer screen. She watched the people passing by on the surveillance cameras in the hotel. Suddenly, a familiar figure entered her sight.
She narrowed her eyes as she saw Boss walking out of a room with a group of people following him. He was talking to them, but she couldn’t hear what he was saying from that distance. She studied his lips, trying to figure out the words.
He got closer and closer to the camera before disappearing around a corner and standing in front of an elevator.
