After the discussion, expressing anger, scolding and crying everything ended with the big alpha saying they would give us a chance to be alone together.

“If you need anything don’t hesitate to call me.” Luna Beatrice flashed me a small smile before they exited the room.

Kayden who has been standing on a spot for over an hours now let out a loud sigh. He ran his hand through his hair and then he moved from the spot. And he approached the bed with a remorseful look on his face. He didn’t uttered a word while his family members scolded him harshly.

Well we all assumed that his silence meant that he was sorry and accepting the blamed for everything. Although I had also admitted my fault of not telling the truth about my relationship to Freddie but the Luna and her daughter said I wasn’t wrong. Alpha Scott stated that I was only trying to protect our identities and he admitted that he would have done the same too if he were in my shoes.

Kayden sat down at the edge of the bed as my gaze was fixed on my fiddling fingers. I don’t know what else to say to him. So I waited patiently for him to say whatever was on his mind.

Kayden heaved a huge sign as he shifted closer. “Forgive me, Avery.” His hand dropped on my fiddling fingers.

I didn’t look up at my mate as tears clouded my vision again. I have cried too much in the space of two days than I have ever done in my years back in life.

“Avery, I am sorry.” Kayden apologized as he covered his fingers with my own.

The warmth of his tender touch spread into my fingers and beyond. Still I didn’t say anything knowing that my mate must have so much to say to me.

“It doesn’t sit well with my wolf to have hurt you terribly.” Kayden said in a slight husky tone.

“Look at me and say something, Avery.” His voice pleaded with me. My mate waited for a response that never came from me. He lifted his free hand to my face, he stroke a finger tip along the line of my jaw and gently he tilted it so I could look straight into his eyes.

“Please find it in your heart to forgive me. I accept the fact that I am to be blamed for the fall apart between us. I am sorry.”

I could see the sincerely in his eyes as they bore into mind. Do I have a choice? I can’t reject him after all the pleadings from his family members. And I also don’t want to hurt my wolf anymore. I want these pains to come to an end and I want us to be happy again. In a short time, I have realized that all relationships can’t be the same. Kayden and I just needs to understand each other better. And I hope we are able to trust and strengthen our mating bond. I still love my mate.

“I forgive you.” I muttered.

A sigh of relief escaped from him and he leaned towards me.

“Thank you. I promise to never doubt you ever again. And I will never raise my hand to hit you.” Kayden said with his mouthing touching my mouth as he rested his forehead on mine.

Well I hope he keeps to his promises because next time I may not be nice enough to forgive him. And I prayed such never happens again.

“But do me a favor, will you?” Kayden mumbled as his hand dropped to he side of my neck.

“What is it?” I asked.

“Please don’t stop loving me and don’t ever have the thoughts of rejecting me or me rejecting you.” His other hand was already around my waist after the bed cover dropped down.

“Alright.” I answered. I wanted more body contact even after he tugged me close so our bodies meet.

There was no doubt that we both craved for each other. Our wolves desperately wanted to make a proper connection. If Kayden has no intention of kissing me even as our lips were just an inch apart, I made up my mind that I would make the move. But Kayden brushed his lips making me crave more and gently he had me lay my back on the bed. I wanted more of him as we shared a passionate kiss.

Kayden groaned in pleasure right after I let out a soft moan. “Kayden-” I whispered when he put an end to the kiss to stare at me.

My body was burning up so badly. My wolf didn’t even help matters because it wanted a sexual contact with our mate as we sniffed our arousal in the air.
