Awakening Luna: Darkness Holding The Light By Majie Chapter 24

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

LEWIS

“After the wind god was imprisoned, the gods and goddesses left the werewolves, the servants of the

moon goddess, an order. They said, their souls would hold the soul of the wind god as long as they

could. However, the powers of their souls are also finite. One day, they would lose all their strength and

inevitably, release the wind god from their chain.” I listened to every word that Halen was saying and

could not help but feel annoyed, especially when I could see the direction where his story was going.

“The words of the deities are something that the royal family could not dare to ignore. So, every

century, we would be on a look out to see if there are hints of the return of the wind god. The wind god

is someone that would bring disaster to the whole lower realm, so we were always guarded against

him. Thankfully, the gods and goddesses left hints of the upcoming doom,” he continued, and I could

not help but furrow my brows. “The wind god, huh,’ I could not help but think.

The Pack of Talascar is the main sword and shield of the ruler of the werewolves. Thus, as Alpha

Talascar, although I did not know the whole story about it, I was still informed of the possible return of C0ntent © 2024 (N/ô)velDrama.Org.

the wind god, the evil bastard that might bring doom to the werewolves, and the need to guard against

him. Recently, Halen and I had been going through places and searching for remains of his aura. Just

this morning… I was able to whiff some presence of the wind element in that cave.’ I thought to myself.

‘So, the evil bastard already escaped?’ I narrowed my eyes.

“Among such hints, the most prominent one, and the best proof that the wind god has returned to the

lower realm, is when the souls of the gods and goddesses reincarnated,” Halen stated as he gave Lia a

profound look. The corner of my eyes twitched. “Lady Adelia;” this time, it was Lady Regina who spoke.

“Among the powers recorded in the ancient text left to us by the gods and goddess, one of them is the

power of sight – it is the power to foresee destiny.” Lia’s eyelashes fluttered as she stared at the lady

with a look of disbelief. Even without reading her thoughts, it was clear on her face that she was

bewildered. Subconsciously, I pulled her even closer and tried to make her lean on my chest for

support. “Regina…” I heard Lia say. “I might have the power to see the future. But I must not be the

only one who has this power,” she added, clearly unaware of how precious her ability was. “My dear

Adelia, you are the only recorded bearer of such power,” Lady Regina said. “Ah?” Lia softly exclaimed.

Her voice was soft, and even sounded helpless. More than that, her body was small and weak. I

realized this last night when I carried her back to my pack, but as I held in my arms, I thought that she

was even physically weaker than I first thought she was. Hearing her helpless and small voice, the

annoyance that I felt in my heart instantly became rage.

‘What rubbish.’

Although I did not say it out loud, Halen and Lady Regina could probably guess what was on my mind

from the expression that I had on my face. There were only a few times when I got

seriously irritated and seethed, and this was one of such situations.

“Let us say that Lia is indeed the reincarnation of one of the gods, that would explain the extraordinary

ability that she had. So, what of it?” I interjected as I looked at the small woman in my arms. From just

a look, one could already tell that her wolf had weak physical prowess. The anger that I felt even

became bigger. “Your highnesses, the past is the past. At the present, there is a danger that the wind

god might exist. You don’t mean to say that you told her about this story so that Lia would take

responsibility and fight that bastard, just because she was a god in her past life?” I clenched my fists.

What a joke. If Lia had strong fighting ability and decided to help fight the bastard on her accord, then I

would not say anything and support her instead. But if the royal family would order Lia to fight just

because she was once a god in her past life, then it would be a different matter.

I was angry, to the point that I wanted to send a fist to Halen’s face. ‘Ah,’ suddenly, I heard a soft gasp,

making me look at the tiny body in my arms. There I saw Lia with her eyes wide and face flushed.

‘Oh. Did I overreact?’ I worriedly thought. Though I marked Lia, it was because of our deal. Moreover,

we only knew each other for less than a day. I did not mind getting and acting close to her, but Lia

might think I overstepped my boundaries. ‘Lewis… is he getting angry for me?’ I heard her loud

thoughts and for some reason, I started to feel nervous. ‘Goodness… At that moment, I forgot my

anger and focused on secretly reading Lia’s thoughts. ‘Lewis he… looks so hot when he’s angry…’

Suddenly, I heard Lia say and I stopped breathing.
