Katherine counted her steps to where he was, and pulled up a frown on her face.

“Does that gjves you the permission to come here?.”

He tugged his nose before snorting.

“Why… are you acting so cold tonight?”

“Have I always been warm towards you?. You did me a kindness, and I already returned the kindness. What else?”she scoffed.

This is like trying to get her killed.

“I helped you out twice but you only paid for one. How is that a good business?”he asked.

Katherine’s intestines tightened in rage.

She scoffed, ruefully.

“Let’s end this whatever you think is between us right now. I didn’t begged you to help me.”she remarked, rudely and tried to walk away but he gripped her arm.

She shot up her gaze at him, sharply.

He turned his look to her and asked,

“Are you sure?”

“Yes.”she pulled his hand down from her arm and walked inside the building.

Kain let’s out a deep scoff.

He turned to look at her.

Well, she doesn’t look like she meant those words.

Once she starts getting horny, she would call him back.

He got inside his car and zoomed off.

Katherine sauntered inside her apartment and threw herself on the couch.

“Jammie!!!! I am home!!”she hollered.

“You drank?. Or, you’ve actually turned into an old woman?”his voice sounded on the couch across the one she was lying on.

She stared at him and scoffed.

“Oh, here you are. Get me my food.”she yawned.

“Your legs are faulty?”he retorted.

“Come on, why are you so rude tonight also.”she sat up with a pout.

“Ugh, don’t give me that look, Kathy.”he rolled his eyes.

A tear rolled out of her eye and James furrowed his brows at her.

“Jammieee..”she sniffed.

He gazed away from her.

“Clean your tears. Those are your perfect charms. Sh! t.”he stood up, grudgingly and walked away.

Katherine chuckled within herself.

“You’re so generous, you know?, Jammie.”she squeaked.

He returned with her food and placed it on her thighs.

“Do the dishes once you’re done.”he rasped.

“Nah. I had a very stressful day at work. Besides, I don’t like doing anything but just eating.”she whined.

He shook his head and took his phone.

He continued operating it not until he heard a snivel again.

He looked up from his phone and saw her tearing up.

“Why?. Why are you crying?. What again?. Is the food not to your liking?”he rushed his words.

She shook her head, negatively and he huffed.

“What is making you cry then?”

“I.. I..”she stuttered.

“For the first time in my life, i felt so worthless. I’ve always acted nonchalantly towards what people think about me. However, tonight was different.”she swallowed the food in her mouth.

“Why.. why do people all think..”she paused and chuckle bitterly.

“Why do they all see me as a lady that has no class but.. no.”she batted her lashes.

“I will just eat my food.”she smiled.

“You should. Food always make you feel better.”he urged.

“Thank you, Jammie. You’re the only guy that is genuinely nice to me.”she prinked up at him.

He offered her a small smile.

“Come here, let me give you a huggie.”she opened her arms widely.

“Thank you for your courteous thought, miss. But, no, I don’t need a hug.”he grinned.

“Hmph!”she snorted.

“So, what made work so stressful today?”

“Not doing anything but actually doing something.”she replied.

*Ding Dong!!*the doorbell buzzed.

Katherine rolled her eyes.

“Bet that’s another new neighbor of ours.”she jeered.

The door bell rang again.

“Don’t get it, Jammie. Of what use is a neighbor to us?. It’s better we keep to ourselves here. I don’t want any Freya around us anymore.”

“We can’t just wait till the boss wipe out the guy himself, can we?”Ralph scoffed.

He was in the room with Elena and John together with their master.

“Ralph, others might think you’re being diligent but I think otherwise. Your being too overambitious could lead you into destruction. Let’s just keep still and wait for the boss of Paradise Alliance to make a decision.”his master responded.

“I agree with Ralph, master. If there’s no way, shouldn’t we make one?.”Elena chipped in.

“I think so too. We’ve been staying still for a while now.”John added.

Their master sighed and turned to them.

“I..”he tried to speak but Ralph cut him off.

“Sensei, it’s fine if you don’t wanna do this. We won’t get you involved. I’ve already got a brilliant idea.”

Buckley heaved out a sigh.

“Let’s take the guy out, guys.”Ralph remarked.

“Certainly no, Ralph. You think the boss would stay still if he learnt that one of his boys were killed and not on his orders?”Buckley jeered.

“Well, we don’t necessarily need to leave a trace. Besides, wouldn’t it be prayer answered if we kill the guy for him?”

“No. Just no.”

“Sensei! We have to look at the bigger picture. If we exterminate him, then we can take one of one people here to fill the void.”
