Babysitting the Billionaire's Twin

Chapter 10: 10 - Friends

Chapter 10: 10 - Friends

Jaxon's Point of View

As I drove to where my house is, I noticed that the small gate was opened, so I decided to park outside

first and then enter.

I waited for the engine to cool before turning it off and stepping out of the car, I then smiled at the

thought of seeing the twins with their nanny in a maid costume.

When I closed the gate, I saw Autumn falling on the floor hard, someone strangling her.

My eyes went wide, who the hell got in here?!

I panicked and ran, it was a good thing that the wall that the door is placed on had to see through the

glass in it. I burst open the door and saw Spring strangling Autumn.

“H-help...” Autumn called out before blacking out, my brows furrowed and it angered me more when I

saw blood flowing from Autumn's head.

The twins were crying and Spring still continued to strangle her as she looked at me. I didn't have a

choice, I pushed her away from Autumn.

Spring stayed still on the spot where I pushed her, her hands trembling and when I looked her in the

eye, she wasn't sane, she was still in her bloodlust mode.

But why Autumn? What the hell happened here?

I gently laid Autumn's head on my lap, blood-stained my pants, but I didn't care, I need her treated.

I took my phone out and dialed Luke's number, it rang three times until he finally answered it, “Come to

my house, it's an emergency, quick!”

Luke lived near us, so it would be great

My heart started to beat faster than normal, I can't lose her. She's still young... I just can't.

I glared at Spring who just came back to her senses, she looked back at me with terror in her eyes as

she noticed Autumn's unconscious body.

Luke came bursting in, shock replaced the curiosity in his eyes and he then stopped on the door, not

moving

“Take the children, quick,” I ordered him, and immediately, Luke sped off to where my car is parked.

Before I left the room, Spring called me out, “Jaxon, I-I'm sorry, I didn't—”

“Shut up and leave my house,” I looked back and glared at her, “I despise you.”

And I left her alone, with a lot of mixed feelings like hate, worry, fear, and more.

I went to the backseat and placed Autumn inside, the kids were on the corner, a bit calmed down, but

still in shock.

I sighed and faced Luke, “Drive the car.”

“Wait, what, sir?” He stared at me, but I didn't talk again, which made him start the car, pressed on the

gas, and sped off.

* * *

I've been waiting for about half an hour and the doctor still didn't leave the room. He told me to wait for

him to come out and well... I'm an impatient man most of the time.

A chair away from me is look and the twins, the twins finally calmed down upon seeing a friendly face

which is Luke's. But how the heck did Spring got inside my house? Does she have a key? I don't know.

“Sir.” Luke looked at me with worry.

I just smiled at him, “Jaxon is fine when we're outside of work.”

He cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head, “Umm...yes, Si— Jaxon. What exactly

happened to, Miss Autumn?”

I looked away from him and stared at my hands, “Strangled by the woman who was at my house

earlier, I don't why she did that either.”

“The woman...” It took him a few seconds to realize, “Is she the CEO of the Flower Company thing?”

I nodded my head and patted the twins as I thought about reasons why Spring did that, she almost

killed Autumn, to be honest.

“Then what was the CEO of the Flower Company doing at your place?”

“I don't know, she was probably looking for me.”

“Then—”

My voice slowly raised on every word I said, “She was supposed to marry me okay? Our parents

wanted that, she was stubborn, she didn't want me because she had someone else and I don't care for

I'm not looking for love!”

I breathed heavily and just realized that I've told Luke all the things that weren't supposed to leak.

He only bowed his head and whispered an apology, “I'm sorry, sir.”

“N-no... it's fine, I'm just stressed, that's all.” I then looked away, “Also don't tell anyone about that.” I

then literally facepalmed myself, ugh, what the heck?

Luke then burst out laughing, “I know you're worried about Autumn, but I guess you still have that funny

side on you, sir.”

I smiled at his words, “Will you stop calling me, 'Sir' and 'Sir Jaxon'?”

“I just can't, sir.” He then chuckled and started playing with the kids as he talked, “I'm younger than you,

sir.”

I rolled my eyes at him, “Shut up, you're a friend of mine and age doesn't matter so quit it.”

“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” He grinned and carried the twins, becoming obsessed with their cheeks.

Then suddenly, the door to Autumn's room opened and the doctor came out.

“Hello, are you one—” The doctor started to ask which I answered immediately even though his

sentence wasn't finished yet.

“No, I am her boss and she lives with me.”

The doctor nodded, “She's still unconscious, but she's all good now. The back of her head bled out of a

really small wound that's why it isn't really a big deal. She'd wake up soon, give her 3 days here to be

monitored and let her rest. If you'll excuse me.” The doctor quickly explained and then left when I

nodded.

“Let's get inside,” I told Luke and opened the door for him to enter with my children.

Autumn was of course, unconscious, her messy hair and maid outfit was the one she still wore.

The nurse nodded at us and then handed me... Autumn's phone?

It was pretty much an old kind of phone, by old, I mean an android that's close to being outdated.

I sighed and sat beside her, “What happened?”

I noticed Luke staring at me, but I didn't pay him any attention. I took Autumn's hand on mine, “You're

still gonna take care of those two cuties, you're still gonna reach your dreams. Wake up soon, Autumn.”

And as I expected, she didn't open her eyes. Again, I sighed, her phone buzzed, I didn't know what I

was doing, but I checked it out.

It was a message from a friend, I suppose, 'Hey, Autumn, what's up?'

I frowned and looked at the unconscious Autumn in front of me, “I'm sorry, Autumn because of just

snoop around your personal stuff.”

I called the number and the person immediately answered, “Hey! It's rare for you to call me first, what's

up?”

It took me a second before I could answer, I simply didn't know what to say.

“Hey, I'm her boss. I'll send the address about where she is now, you need to come, she's in the

hospital.” I said in a calm tone, it took her a while before she said okay and when she did, I immediately

hung up.

After that, I texted the location as I and Luke looked at each other.

“What now?” Luke asked.

I gave him a sad and tired smile, “We wait.”

An hour already passed and Autumn is still not awake which made me sigh for the hundredth time as I

stood up from the chair near Autumn and sat on the long sofa. It isn't that comfortable compared to my

seats in the house, but this could do... temporarily.

The door opened and I expected it was the doctor, but when I turned my head to look, it was a woman,

this woman surely Autumn's friend.

“Autumn!” She exclaimed and rushed to where she is, she grabbed her hand and tears flowed down

her cheeks. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

I felt awkward, it's like she was about to accuse me.

On cue, Autumn's friend glared and launched at me.

Yeah, my guess was right.

She pulled my necktie and shouted, “What did you do to her?!”

Instantly, Luke pulled her away from me and I couldn't look her in the eye, it's partly my fault anyway.

She was alone with the kids.

“I wasn't the one who did that to her, I was the one who saved her,” I explained in such a flat tone.

With that, she let go of me and whispered, “Sorry.”

I only nodded my head and when she started to ask questions about what happened, I answered them

all as the two, Luke and Autumn's friend, listened carefully.

“Yeah, that's all that I got to see.” She nodded and faced her friend once again.

“Poor Autumn....” She whispered and went back to her side.

I sighed and thought about the things that I would do next.

I don't have a fucking clue, I can't leave the kids, I can't leave Autumn either.

For fuck's sake, this is so messed up!

“Sir, what would we do now?” Luke asked.

“Go to my house, get a few clothes, for me and the kids. You know where I keep my clothes anyway.” I

told him and he smiled.

“I sure do.” He let the kids down and walked towards me.

I gave him the key to the house and my car keys as well, “Be sure that the woman isn't there, once you

leave lock every door.”

He nodded and with that, he left.

I guess I won't be working tomorrow then...

I opened my eyes and the only light-emitting in the room is from the lamp near Autumn, I looked around

and saw the twins with Autumn's friend who introduced herself as Lea earlier, sleeping on the other

couch which is on the other side of Autumn.

I guess I fell asleep, Luke wasn't around which isn't really a big deal. He probably had gone home or

something.

I stood up and stretched my arms, how long did I sleep?

I took my phone out of my pocket, at 5 am.

Well, I guess I was so tired that I slept like a log yesterday.

I sat on the chair near Autumn and held her hand, “Please wake up, the twins will miss their cosplayer

nanny, you know?”

As soon as I said that, her eyes opened which almost made me shout in joy.

“Cosplayer nanny? That's funny.” She croaked, I immediately gave her a glass of water and she

accepted it right away.

“How are you feeling?” I smiled at her and awkwardly let go of her hand.

“Fine.” She forced a smile and I frowned.

“For now, don't treat me like your boss, it's fine,” I whispered and then a tear appeared from her eyes

as it slowly slid down her cheek.

“It's alright now, you're safe, you're safe,” I assured her and this time, she held my hand and then

sobbed, she tried to keep quiet, but I know it's hard because of what she had gone through yesterday.

Without even thinking, I went to hug her, not tight, but enough to make her feel warm and safe.

For now... I'm a friend, not her boss, but someone that she can rely on until she recovers.
