Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 463

Chapter 463

Once he parked the car at the side, Frederick slowly walked up to her. He unbuttoned his suit jacket and gently draped it over her shoulders. At the same time, he also placed his arm in front of her to prevent her from falling off the bridge.

Alicia suddenly turned around, and her nose was visibly red from crying. "Hubby?"

She sobbed and quickly wiped away the tears from her eyes.

Frederick couldn't help but laugh loudly. He raised his hand as he wiped the two black marks off her cheeks.

"You look dirty, just like a little tabby cat."

He then took out a handkerchief that he carried with him and cleaned her face. He lowered his gaze and saw her messily buttoned shirt collar. The corner of her mouth also had obvious scratch marks, and her lipstick was smeared around the edges of her lips. Her cheeks weren't looking too good either, it seemed that...

Frederick recalled that Chet had mentioned her meet up with Jeremy. The sight of her sitting here alone with her eyes flushed red as if she had suffered a great grievance affirmed Frederick's guess on what had happened. Then, he carefully cleaned her smudged makeup.

"How did you find out that I'm here?" Alicia wondered why he had come at a time like this.

"Didn't you say you miss me? Besides, great minds think alike."

He pulled her away from the edge of the bridge and held her in his arms, saying tenderly, "Don't sit at such a dangerous place next time." Alicia rubbed her nose and threw herself into his arms. "Okay, I promise I won't."

Looking up, Alicia arched her body against his. "Hubby, did you come all the way here to purposely meet me?"

As she thought about how she had been forcefully kissed earlier, Alicia subconsciously pursed her lower lip and mumbled, "Just now, I—"

"I know. You've yet to grow up, and you cried because you missed me a lot. It's alright. Next time, I'll definitely give you a call if you ever miss me. Have you eaten yet?"

Hearing this, Alicia felt that he had already figured out what happened, but he had deliberately changed the subject. Instead of continuing the topic, Alicia shook her head and suddenly felt a little hungry.

"Let's go. I'll take you somewhere to fill your belly.

Geez, you don't even know how to take care of yourself."

"But my car..." Alicia started.

"Just leave it here. No one will steal it anyway. Once you're free, just find someone to drive it home for you," Frederick said as he held her in his arms and walked toward his car.

She twitched her lips out of curiosity, but deep down, she felt a sense of warmth.

In the interim, in a bedroom of the Randolph family's home was Danica who was reading the news on her phone. Her eyes were then fixed on the leather, paper bag Chet had sent over and it was placed on the table. A surge of irritation rose in her chest, and she had almost broken her nails off.

She couldn't believe that Frederick was willing to splurge tens of millions of dollars just to buy some clothes for Alicia.

But now, their family was in an unstable situation. She was obviously unharmed, but while in the hospital, they had shown up to threaten and warn her. She thought that men were truly unscrupulous. There was no justice in this world!

She was so annoyed that she kept swiping her phone's screen. Suddenly, an interesting headline flashed before her eyes, and her gaze froze as she read it.

"Cold: To value relationships over

friendships... Three years of true love is worth no less than a hundred dollars!"

With a jolt of inspiration, the hairs on her body stood up. Wasn't this Lindsay's way of success?

"If the others could do it, why can't I? I already have the practical evidence, don't I?"

At this thought, Danica placed her hand on her cheek as she suddenly realized that her looks no longer brought her any advantages. The most important thing that the Randolph family needed now was money, and she needed it even more desperately!

If a man was able to deceive her into ruining her fortune, why couldn't she do the same back?

In a restaurant, the couple enjoyed a delicious meal together. Frederick returned home with Alicia after their meal. During the entire journey, he hadn't asked any more questions to embarrass her. He considerately took care of her and fed her well. He even brought up some cold jokes to tease her from time to time. As she entered the house, Alicia was already in a good mood. The memories of those photos were cast aside in her mind. On the other hand, in East Bannpool's private room, Jeremy had gotten himself drunk for the night.

The next morning, Frederick sent Alicia to the company. Meanwhile, Chet had driven her car back to the company's door-front.

Before they parted, Frederick planted a gentle kiss on her forehead. "You may go upstairs now. Call me if you miss me."

"I will!"

Although they maintained some

distance from each other as they

were at the company's entrance and

Chet was also standing next to them, Alicia was obviously a little' reserved. "I will take good care of myself. Don't worry too much about me. See you later, Hubby

She waved her hand and then trotted up the stairs.

Only after he watched her slowly disappear from the front of the door that Frederick finally got into the car and said, "Head to the Pitchers Company." The minute he started the car, Chet suddenly halted and asked, "Huh? Where?"

"You heard that correctly. Let's go to the Pitchers Company."

Frederick's expression immediately changed as he repeated, and all the doubts from Chet's mind were swallowed in. He obediently drove the car and never spoke a word again.

When Jeremy arrived at the

company, it was already past nine o'clock, yet he still had a splitting headache. As soon as he entered the office, the corridor was filled with people. He sensed that something was wrong. He looked up and saw that there were people waiting at the door of the reception

room, and there were some that held up the door as well. Seeing that the employees from the secretary's office were all dawdling in the corridor during office hours, Jeremy's mood worsened.

"What are you guys doing? Do you all want to be fired?"

Hearing his angry voice, everyone instantly dispersed like a flock of birds. Meanwhile, the secretary ran over in a hurry.

"President Pitcher, you're finally here! Mr. Clements of Soaver International has personally paid us a visit! He has been here for a long time. I've been calling you for quite some time, but no one answered..."

"Frederick Clements?"

She nodded continuously and her eyes were full of curiosity. Frederick's mere presence had caused quite a stir in the whole company.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

Jeremy couldn't believe that Frederick had actually come in person. Was it because of last night's incident? After a brief glance, Jeremy felt like his suspicion was quite close to the truth. He then waved his hand to dismiss his employees.

"I understand. All of you can go back to work now!"

After handing his briefcase to the secretary, Jeremy headed toward the reception room.

Frederick was drinking a cup of coffee on the leather sofa, and he behaved as if this was his home. At the othe corner, Chet was flipping through some documents. "Why did he come here in person? What does he want?" Thoughts started gushing in Jeremy's mind. Content belongs

"Welcome, Mr. Clements! It's rare to have someone like you over here."

As soon as the door was opened, Chet noticed the scent of gunpowder. He stood up unconsciously, not knowing whether he should voice that out. Frederick placed his cup of coffee down and gave Chet a sidelong glance as he told him, "Wait outside."

In an instant, Chet's heart started beating quickly. "W-What?"

"Leave us, now."

A bad feeling welled up in Chet's heart, but all he could do was lower his head and leave the room as he was told. He also closed the door behind him, leaving the both of them inside.

"So you're here to see me. I was also looking for you as well."

As soon as Jeremy opened his mouth, Frederick punched him in the face. Jeremy fell backwards and his tall body crashed into the table cab at the corner of the room. A loud crashing sound came from his direction as he collapsed.

"What's wrong?"

"What happened?"

Right away, the door to the reception room burst open. Chet and several employees had rushed in, but they were taken aback by the scene. They were so stunned that they almost couldn't believe their eyes.

At this moment, Jeremy was on the ground while his hands were still holding on to the table. While Frederick was pulling his collar, he turned around with a glare on his face.

He growled, "Everyone, get out!"

Thus, everybody retreated quickly in unison. With a bang, the door was shut tightly.
