Chapter 530
Victoria found it hard to believe the words that he'd just said, she merely stared at him for a good three seconds.
It was then, a waiter arrived and handed the key card over to Trevor. Shortly, both Victoria and Trevor entered the executive suite.
Trevor locked the room's door right after they entered. Holding the key card in his hand, he then released Victoria's hand, turned around and walked towards the water dispenser in the room. He poured himself a glass of water and proceeded to drink it up in a single gulp. Afterwards, he sat down on the bed. Victoria remained standing at the door, maintaining her distance away from him as she looked at him vigilantly.
"Why are you still standing there? Are you afraid of me?"
Trevor raised the key card in his hand and said, "I have the key card so you're trapped inside here with me for now."
Could she really escape from this room if he were to do something indecent to her?
Victoria was well-aware of her current situation.
Since the door was locked, then leaving wasn't an option. However, Victoria still felt like she had to keep a distance to avoid anything from happening. She walked very slowly to the chair beside the coffee table. Then, she adjusted the hem of her dress and sat down promptly.
Sitting at the edge of the bed, Trevor's gaze followed her every move. He was feeling slightly light-headed.
Victoria had a dignified and elegant composure in her every move. She was also polite every time she spoke. After all, she was a designer with a good fashion taste, and she must've gone through proper education!
Victoria's personality and appearance fulfilled the image his mother had described. She was born into a good family, beautiful and outstanding. She was also both virtuous and gentle!
Although the last requirement had yet to be tested. However, Victoria was indeed a good woman who knew her place. She also had the temperament of a young lady from a respectable family!
However, if this woman was Victoria, then who was the one he met in the hotel previously?
Suddenly, Trevor's memories of that day came rushing back. At that time, he was out to meet an old friend who had come to Casterwich City. They had arranged for dinner together. However, Trevor was late because something came up.
That day was either a weekend or a holiday. When he arrived at the hotel, it was already packed with people. Midway through, he went out to personally get a gift for his friend and to also check on it. When he was returning to his table, Trevor clearly heard a waiter yell "Miss Atlas". At the same time, on the first floor of the restaurant, a beautiful lady got up and shouted, "Victoria!"
Back then, Trevor's mother had constantly nagged him about arranging a blind date for him. Although he hadn't seen her face before, yet he was well- aware of her name.
It was also because of that voice that his gaze turned towards the woman. Until then, he could still recall the woman's dressing and appearance. First off, her chubby body was comparable to a man's. Her dress was branded and she had expensive jewelry on her. It was clear that she came from a wealthy family, but she had a dark, unattractive complexion. Compared to her friend who waved at her, the so-called Victoria was twice the size and loud. Even from a distance, Trevor could hear her commenting about another woman's looks. Subconsciously, Trevor assumed her to be a designer. Moreover, he heard the name 'Victoria' being called multiple times during the brief moment he was there. Trevor inquired a waiter nearby who then replied to him, "She seems to be the daughter of the Atlas family, a designer." It was then he came to his conclusion that she was his blind date.
Although Trevor wasn't judging her by her looks, she honestly wasn't the most appealing woman to him. Her unsightly figure and body odor were enough to make him nauseous!
In addition to that, it was many years ago when Trevor's mother first met her. Therefore, to him, his mother's words were not reliable. Having that first impression, he was very reluctant to go on a blind date with her.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
In Trevor's impression, Victoria's image had always been what his mother had described.
Therefore, this begged the real question. Who was this Victoria before him?
Was she the woman that Trevor's mother was actually referring to? No wonder she seemed very familiar when he first saw her? Could it be because he had seen her photos before?
For a long period of time, the both of them did not make a single move.
Frankly, Victoria had her own doubts about him.
Judging from his look, it seemed that Trevor had no idea who she actually was. Never in Victoria's life had she offended him before, so why did he slander her behind her back?
Victoria's mother made quite the effort to bring her and Trevor together!
However deep down, Victoria wasn't very fond of his playboy image. Therefore she wasn't willing to go on a date with him.
Coincidentally, they happened to
cross each other's path in the corridor during an event. He had stood in the corner and seemed to be making a phone call to a friend. His voice was loud, full of anger and disdain. She could clearly remember What he had said.
"... I'll come over at night, bring me a better one!"
It seemed like he was going to the club in search of a female companion. His next words were about Victoria, "Dark, ugly, fat, and shameless. She's a boar pretending to be a princess. Even if all other women ceased to exist, I still wouldn't have her..."
After Victoria heard those words, she felt disgusted by him. Why would she go on a blind date with a playboy who disliked her?
However, Trevor's silence displayed a change in his attitude. Now that Victoria thought about it, her heart went through a rollercoaster of emotions. "Maybe there was a chance that he could have recognized me that day, or if he hadn't worn that mask, I would have recognized him... Perhaps, for the sake of the elders, that tragedy could've been avoided.."
Unfortunately, he'd worn a mask on that day, so Trevor was
unrecognizable to Victoria and neither did he recognize her. Destiny
had played a joke on them. He was also her high school sweetheart,
ез
who used to call her "Kimmy" instead of "Victoria". In the past, Victoria felt that the nickname was nostalgic, and represented her fond memories with Anthony. She adored it when he called her "Kimmy"
because it seemed that she
mattered to him.
However, presently...hmph!
A bitter smile appeared on the corner of her lips. Victoria was utterly speechless at that moment. This nickname was the cause of the misunderstanding and tragedy between them.
Had she known about that, then she would've definitely gone on a date with him just so she could embarrass him!
As they looked at each other, Trevor's sight fell upon her graceful figure once again. If he had known the true Victoria, then he wouldn't have hesitated to go on a blind date with her.
For the first time in his entire life,
Trevor was out of control over a woman. It was the first time for him to force himself on a woman! It was also the first time that he treated a woman differently. He had thought about her over and over again. The woman he was so crazy about earlier turned out to be someone who was meant to be his all along.
God must've been messing with him!
Uncertain of how long time had passed, Trevor finally asked, "Who are you? What's your name?"
