Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 557

Alicia looked up in surprise and pretended to comfort Sebastian, "What's the matter? Didn't your rehearsal go well today? Weren't the audience very satisfied with your performance?"

It was actually a funeral that she had specifically arranged for him. She was really committed and generous towards this plan of hers. The more sensational it was, the more people it would attract, and in time it would make him suffer as well.

Shortly, he replied in a frustrated manner.

"Well, I initially thought that I was in a good mood today, so I decided to secretly record the song earlier, but no matter how many times I've tried, I just can't seem to reach that high note. Ah... I don't know what's wrong with me. Whenever I sing, my throat... It felt very uncomfortable. My voice became hoarse as if I had a sore throat. I simply just couldn't get the right pitch!"This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.

She smiled as bright as day while she poured some water for him.

"Sebastian, I think you're just putting too much pressure on yourself. You just came here yesterday, so why are you here again today? In my opinion, you seem too concerned and stressed about yourself! Look at me, I've been dancing and running around for business purposes lately. My legs were in agony and I couldn't wait to lie in bed for the whole day. All it took was two days of rest, and now, I'm as light as a feather!"

In other words, she was trying to imply, "It's fine if your throat feels uncomfortable. The real problem is because you've talked too much!"

These words of hers immediately lifted his spirits. In an instant, he had figured out the root cause behind his problem.

"Misty, you're really my lucky goddess! A lot of people have mentioned this to me before, yet I merely thought they were just comforting me, so I wasn't able to find a way around it. However, now that you've explained it, I think I finally understand!"

Sebastian was so excited that he grabbed Alicia's hand out of the blue. A sense of disgust emerged in her heart as she tried to pull her hand back. She smirked as she slowly tied her hair.

"Haha... What did I say? It's good to know that you're fine now!"

It was only then that he realized what he had done. He quickly withdrew his hand and took two sips of water from his glass. "I'm so sorry, I was too excited. Please excuse my actions earlier. They were completely meaningless!"

Even if there was a meaning behind it, he still wouldn't dare to tell her the truth. Everyone knew that she belonged to Mr. Nick's! He was famous, powerful, and no one dared to provoke him!

"I understand that you've always taken care of me as if I was your sister! I'm so lucky to have my childhood crush constantly by my side! Since you're here Sebastian, let's forget about everything else and just enjoy our time. Perhaps, today might even be your lucky day to win some money if you just stay happy."

He banged the table and exclaimed.

"That's right! A fortune teller once told me that despite the countless harsh moments that I've faced in the past, in the end I'll still be blessed and there'll always be someone to help me out! I guess she was right about that. Back then, there was..."

In the past, Freya was always there for him, but now, Sebastian had Alicia's help every time he was troubled. Even though his concert faced a bad start this time, yet she took this opportunity to take matters into her own hands.

He was utterly pleased as he pondered on. He felt like she was a blessing to him.

As they looked at each other inadvertently, she had figured out the words in his mind. "How could he possibly become the man he was today without the help of my aunt and the financial support of his family during their reigning period? One or two million dollars back then is incomparable to the current ten million dollars! This cold-blooded scumbag must've paid a high price to be blessed with good fortune."

If there wasn't any retribution for a man like him, then there wouldn't be any justice in the world!

As her sharp fingernails pierced into her palms, Alicia's heart was filled with hatred. However, she simply narrowed her eyes and smiled sweetly, "Let's go, Sebastian! It'd be a waste to merely drink water after paying for such a costly entrance fee."

"You're right! Let's head to table eight to play poker!"

Shortly, the two of them headed to their usual seat over at the poker table. However, someone was already seated at table eight at the moment. After wandering a few rounds, Sebastian then proceeded to walk towards table eight.

In the past, she thought he had randomly chosen a table to play at. However, this time, he sat at a table that was located on the east side of the casino. It was only then that she realized...

"He seems to be very superstitious! If I'm right about this, then it'll be easier to carry out my plan."

She sat down while she quietly observed him.

Even though betting was a terrible thing to do, it was obvious that he was good at it, he was clearly a pro when it came to casino games. He played very well and it seemed like he didn't need much learning from it. Moreover, he had a good sense of propriety unlike normal gamblers. He only continued if he won the round, but he would immediately stop if he ever lost a round.

She hated this fact about him the most!

"Wow..."

As she was lost in her thoughts, a sudden cry of surprise instantly brought her back to her senses. Only then did she realize that he had won a huge fortune. "Sebastian, you're so lucky!"

On the outside, Alicia had congratulated him, but deep down, she was spitting vile oaths and curses at him. "A kind Samaritan doesn't typically live a long life, yet a troublemaker like him was having the best time of his life! How could he be so lucky?"

"Haha..."

Surrounded by the noisy

atmosphere, Sebastian smiled as he

was in high spirits. His behavior was also completely different from earlier. Although he didn't smoke, the scent of cigarettes around him was pungent. She fanned her surroundings with her hand while she coughed. She then took the opportunity to speak up.

"Sebastian, the cigarettes' smoke is suffocating in here! I reckon you should take a lozenge for your throat."

"I guess you're right about that!"

Right then, he brought out a box of lozenges and handed it over to her. She willingly accepted his offer while she took a good look at the box. She realized that it was the same one that she had swapped, so she pretended to swallow it without him noticing. As the cards on the table were revealed, she took the

opportunity to hand the box back to

him. At that moment, he was

distracted, so he simply took it

without paying attention.

While she was seated, she noticed that Sebastian's chips were gradually snowballing. The smile on her face faded. "Does he know how to play or is he just really lucky?" She questioned herself.

She had convinced him to gamble in order to lead him to his demise, yet the opposite occurred and he was on a winning streak.

In the blink of an eye, a waiter suddenly bolted over to Alicia's side. "Miss Swift, Mr. Nick has informed us that he needs to speak to you right now. He's currently waiting for you outside!"

She was confused as she scrolled through her phone, she merely thought to herself, "Why didn't he just call me if he had something important to discuss?"

Out of the corner of her eyes, she caught a glimpse of Sebastian. He looked worried and she was afraid that Sebastian would start to suspect her. Without thinking any further, she immediately told him.

"I'm sorry Sebastian, I have to go out and make a phone call. It's for Mr. Nick, I'll get back to you soon!"

Right after that, she stood up and left.

At this moment, Frederick had walked in with a few subordinates by his side. He waved his hand and ordered them one at a time, "You, keep an eye

on Sebastian while the rest of you handle her bodyguards! I want this to be settled within half an hour and don't get in my way!"
