Chapter 650
The car drove slowly and stopped in front of a hotel.
As her mind was disrupted, Victoria did not look carefully and was led into the hotel by him. When she arrived at the door of the private room inside, only then did Victoria come back to her senses. It turned out that the restaurant Trevor had brought her to was actually a Japanese restaurant. The private rooms in the back hall were all decorated in a Japanese style. There were bamboo designed sliding doors and cushion seats.
After she changed into the slippers and entered the room, Victoria was still depressed. Why did he bring her there for Japanese cuisine? Why Japanese food? She hated it the most!
However, with the waiter in front of her, bowing deeply, Victoria did not make a scene.
Watching the two left the room, she was about to protest when a gentle male voice was sounded, "The Japanese hotpot here is very authentic and famous. I took you here to have a taste!"
Hotpot!
Hearing that, Victoria felt that she could make an exception that time, so she swallowed back the words that were about to blurt out of her mouth. He helped her hang her coat diligently and then took her to be seated, but she still couldn't help muttering.
"It's so troublesome just to have a meal! Why are we eating this type of food?"
Japanese food was always not her cup of tea for she thought it was cold and smelly. To eat it during winter was even more unbearable, especially in such a place where she even had to sit cross-legged on the floor. It was extremely uncomfortable!
She really didn't understand what they were thinking. Did they have to do yoga while eating?
The corner of his lips was slightly curled up, but Trevor didn't say anything.
Soon, the exquisite Japanese dishes were served one after another. The distinctive tasting soup, seafood, snacks, and salmon were extraordinary. It wasn't as disgusting as she had expected.
Seeing that the food was piping hot, Victoria no longer stood against it. She sat obediently and watched as Trevor fiddled with the food. When he started eating, she followed along. At first, she only picked up a few vegetables and stuffed them into her mouth. The taste was still acceptable, so she continued. After a while, she started to gobble them up.
"Not bad! Why are you treating me to dinner all of a sudden?"
"What do you want from me?"
She kept having the feeling that his visit was abrupt. She relaxed and became a chatterbox. He dipped a piece of raw fish fillet into the wasabi and brought it to her mouth.
"It's nothing. Can't I have dinner with you?"
He was not that kind of person!
Pouting in displease, Victoria rolled her eyes at him. She covered her mouth and turned her head away, "I will not eat a pile of parasites! Stay away from me. The wasabi will make me sneeze!"
Trevor thought that it was the most special part, but after listening to what she had said, he lost his appetite and threw it directly into the trashcan. Then, he put the remaining raw fish fillets into his hotpot.
During the meal, they chatted from time to time. When they put down their cutleries, Victoria was surprised to find that she would be full when eating with him.
She was indeed a gluttonous foodie! She couldn't resist delicious food at all!
She looked around, and there was a satisfied smile in her eyes. Then, she picked up the cup and drank some warm water, suddenly feeling her stomach bulging.
In front of him, perhaps because she did not like him, Victoria was relatively relaxed. She did not care whether her behavior would disgust him or not. She felt uncomfortable from her stomach curling up when sitting on the floor, so she stood up and walked a few steps as she rubbed on her belly. Her gaze fell on the hanging painting on the wall. On one side of the characteristic ornaments of the wine cab, she looked at them with appreciation and raised her finger to point to the roof.
"It's really full of Japanese charm! It'll be even more so if there's a ghost doll hanging..."
"Pfft," Trevor almost choked to death. The image of sticking tongues and ferocious-looking fangs appeared in his mind. He shook his head and obviously did not agree with her.
"Ahem, ahem. Ghost doll? Hanging
such a thing in a restaurant? Aren't you afraid that customers won't come the next time? You're indeed a designer. Your mind is made
different from others!"
"No! I'm talking about another kind of doll..." She was unhappy that her idea was doubted. She became anxious, and with her hands and feet waving through the air, she said.
"I mean the Ikkyu-san doll. Have you ever seen it? The one which is hung on trees. It's very famous in Japan!"
Trevor laughed and was amused by her cute antics, "Sweetheart, that's called Teruterubbzu!"
Did she say ghost doll? Only she could think of that!
As they were talking, there was a slight knock on the door. Then a waiter slowly came in and said, "Master Trevor..."
First, he bowed respectfully and then walked towards Trevor, whispering a few words in his ear.
From afar, Victoria tilted her head and squinted at the two of them. Why were they being so secretive? It was only a meal. How many times had they been whispering to each other?
"I get it! You may leave now!"
Waving his hand, Trevor also took a few banknotes from his pocket to him.
"Thank you, Master Trevor!"
Immediately after, the waiter politely went out. Before leaving, he glanced at Victoria. Victoria slowly returned to her seat as she came back to her
senses.
"What were you talking about?"
Why did the waiter have a strange look in his eyes? Why was he looking at her?
"Do you want to know?"
Victoria nodded her head in a solemn manner.
As he raised his hand, Trevor signaled with his finger, telling her to get closer. Victoria got up slowly and leaned over: The next second, her cheeks suddenly turned hot as he kissed her. She withdrew quickly, and with a plop, Victoria squatted on the ground. A burst of laughter came when she wiped her cheeks. However, she was angry. She got up and said furiously.
"Liar! I'm going to the restroom!"
Before Trevor could react, she had already opened the sliding door and said while wearing her shoes, "Excuse me, how can I get to the bathroom?"
The waiter looked up and saw Trevor nodding his head. Then he said, "Miss, this way, please..."
Walking along the long and narrow corridor, Victoria didn't know how long she had walked before she heard the waiter say, "Turn right!"
"Alright, thank you!"
Finally seeing the sign, Victoria hurried over.
When she came out again and went to the intersection of the aisle, she was a little confused.
She looked around and found there
were three corridors which looked
the same leading to different directions. She didn't remember which direction she came from. After examining different directions from the spot she was standing, she still couldn't tell the difference. She then realized that all the doors along each aisle were all closed. There were names on the doors, but she didn't know the name and the number of the room she was in!
After grabbing a waiter, she could only try her luck, "Hello, do you know which private room was booked by Trevor, Master Trevor?"
"Miss, if you've made an appointment in advance, you can go to the front desk to check it out! If you directly entered the hotel, then we can't confirm
it. You can go to the front desk!"Text content © NôvelDrama.Org.
After that, the waiter left, but Victoria became even more confused!
