Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 699

"Woof! Woof!" The dog barked.

At that moment, the puppy barked twice as if it knew that they were talking about itself. Soon after that, Trevor, who was also absentminded, instantly came back to his senses.

"That's a good plan! Didn't she call you today?" Trevor asked in confusion as he was still full of doubts. Where did she go? Where did she go the entire day that she didn't even go home?

"I don't think so! After partying till so late last night, I've been catching up on sleep in the morning! Grandma told Aunt Amanda that we don't have to visit her today. We can do anything we want! Well, we should go back to my parents' home to pay them a new year's call soon! Let's first have a video call with my parents before we go spend time with Grandma!" Alicia added.

As they were discussing, she looked at Frederick once more.

He nodded and didn't raise any objections. "Alright! It's good that we can go on a different day. Both of you can go there after a few days so that Grandma's house can stay lively for a longer period!"

After all, Trevor also needed more time since he had more relatives on his parents' side and needed to visit them.

Therefore, he immediately nodded and said, "Okay!"

However, as he listened to it, he couldn't help but became more puzzled.

She had not come to look for Alicia yet, and it was also impossible for her to spend the whole day with Caroline. Where did she go? Why didn't she even go home to have lunch? Trevor thought to himself.

Trevor was a little anxious. He then left in a hurry after briefly chatting with them.

When he got into the car, he once again took out his cell phone. As soon as he found Victoria's number, a thought suddenly came to his mind. Her parents' house!

He raised his hand and hit himself on the forehead. How could he be so stupid!

Where else away from home could she go and feel so at ease other than her parents' house?

However, shouldn't he go there with her the day after tomorrow? Why did she go back on the first day of the new year? Moreover, it was getting dark and there was still no news or sign of her.

He suddenly felt that something was wrong. After starting the car, Trevor returned home once again. As expected, she hadn't returned yet! He immediately ordered the servants to get the gifts prepared in advance.

On the other hand, Victoria had just been staying at home. She held a pillow in her arms and watched the TV on the sofa for the entire day. She was reluctant to move or leave.

Her parents were initially upset and continued to nag her. However, after knowing that the Clements family was fine with it, they happily let her do what she wanted! On the contrary, Veronica was a little anxious upon seeing that it was already time for dinner.

"Vicki, it's already dark. Why aren't you going home?" Veronica asked.

"Mom, can't I just stay for one more meal?" Victoria said.

Victoria was acting dotingly while shamelessly holding the pillow. She felt pathetic. She didn't want to go back at all!

"It's not about the meal! You're married, and you came here on the first day of the New Year. It won't be nice if it gets out! Those people who didn't know would think that you're being bullied by your mother-in-law. It's not good for the reputation of both the Clements family and yourself! You can't be so wilful!" Veronica nagged.

Veronica looked at Victoria again after she finished her words. "Vicki, did you come here because you quarreled with Trevor?" She asked.

As she was getting anxious, Veronica suddenly stood up from the sofa. "You didn't sneak out and come here, did you?" She asked. Could he not know about it?

Victoria felt like weeping upon rolling her eyes. However, she didn't have any tears left. "Mom... I just want to stay here for one more day. Do you hate me? You just want to drive me away! Fine, I'll go. Are you happy now?" Victoria said.

D*mn it! How annoying! She couldn't even go back to her own home after she was married!

All of a sudden, she remembered a phrase that many people used to say.

As soon as women were married, they were considered guests in their parents' home and outsiders in their parents-in-law's home. Only the place where they lived with their husband, was considered their true home! If a husband didn't treat his woman as his family, then the woman would literally be homeless!

She got up and wore the slippers. Although she wasn't that miserable, Victoria suddenly had a deep feeling of being homeless!

She used to be so happy every day. However, there was only sadness left in her heart then. It was the kind of sorrow that she couldn't express to anyone else!

"Vicki, I'm not chasing you away..." Veronica said.

As Veronica was trying to explain, the servant came in and said, "Madam, Master Trevor is here!"

"Is Trevor here? Go and inform the Master!" Veronica said.

As she was speaking, Trevor entered the door with gifts. As expected, as soon as he took a look at them, he saw Victoria standing in front of sofa with a pillow in her hands.. Victoria was a little messy, acting

like a typical untidy woman who was staying at home. Her hair was slightly disheveled, and she was

outfit.

Veronica gave her a stare and patted her before going up to Trevor. "Trevor, why are you here now? I was just urging Victoria to go home!" She said.

Veronica turned around and noticed

that it was as if Victoria didn't hear her at all. Not only did she fail to tidy up herself, but she also lay back on the sofa Veronica turned around and hurriedly ran to her, grabbed her arm and repeatedly winked at her. She was so desperate that she afmost popped her eyeballs out. It was as if she was disappointed in her for not living up to her expectations.

It was also obvious that Victoria didn't care about it at all!

At the same time, Trevor also noticed her decadence and agitation. It was completely different from the past.

At that moment, Norman also headed downstairs. He asked Trevor to sit down while they briefly chatted. He then received a hockey stick with the signature of a celebrity from Trevor. Norman was so happy that he couldn't stop smiling. He almost wished that he could start worshipping Trevor as his ancestor.

Veronica also treated him with great enthusiasm. "Trevor, do you have anything to do tonight? If you don't, why don't you have dinner here before you go? I'll order the kitchen to cook more dishes! Just tell me what you'd like to eat!" Veronica said.

"Okay! I'm sorry to have troubled you!" Trevor said.

"It's nothing. It's our pleasure!" Veronica said.

Victoria was even angrier upon seeing how easy her father and mother were to deal with and how her mother looked at her son-in-law.

Who was their biological child? Why didn't they ask her what she was thinking?

Norman and Trevor were having a good conversation. Both of them were very passionate as they talked about hockey sports. Veronica, who was beside him couldn't stand it. Therefore, she picked up a piece of chicken and put it into Norman's bowl.

"That's enough! Don't keep talking about hockey when you see him. Aren't you afraid of scaring him away?" Veronica said. Was he trying to make his precious daughter stay single for her life?

"Look at me. I just can't stop talking

after meeting a bosom friend! Let's eat! Trevor, Rhea isn't like a reckless hockey ball and can't be treated rudely! She has been well-behaved since she was a child and hasn't suffered much. She has the

and it's inevitable for her to be a little wilful after being spoiled by us. Sometimes, you still have to be a little patient with her. She's still sensible! She's not the kind of person who will mess around!"

Norman said.

"Dad, I know! You're willing to hand her over to me. It means that you have trust in me. I won't bully her! I'll love and protect her just like you do!" Trevor said.

As she was chewing the rice, Victoria's heart was in great sorrow. Nonsense! How could he compare himself to her father?

As she looked down, she swallowed all the bitterness that was welling up in her heart. At that moment, nothing was more important in her heart than her family. After all, she had already lost what should've lost!

After dinner, Victoria sat for a while before she smiled and said goodbye to her parents. The smile on her lips suddenly disappeared as soon as she got into the car. Instead, she quickly turned towards the window.
