Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 706

The first dish he took was her dish, fried eggs with tomato. Seeing Victoria biting her fork and staring straight at him, Trevor also gave her some eggs with a smile and said,

"It tastes good!"

Except that it was a little bland! Fortunately, it was bland. If it was salty, he would be miserable after he finished eating the dish.

Victoria was used to bland food, so the dish was just a little sour for her. The dish wasn't that bad. In the end, she concluded that the tomatoes chosen were not good!

Trevor finished the dish to show his support. Whether he did it intentionally or unintentionally, his actions had made Victoria extremely happy. They didn't talk much, but they were very happy.

After dinner, Trevor answered a phone call, and Victoria went back to her room.

Thinking that it was the Lantern Festival and a fullmoon night, she took out a long down jacket. When Trevor entered the room, he saw her wrapping herself up, so he asked,

"Are you going out?"

Wearing the warm snow boots, Victoria put on the fluffy earmuffs and said, "I heard that there are lanterns on the street. I also want to go and look at the moon!"

The main street of the mansion had been decorated with lanterns for a long time, but the lanterns, after all, would be more charming when contrasted with the dark night sky!

Trevor picked up his coat with one hand, took her hand in his and said, "I'll go with you!"

"Ouch!"

Victoria screamed, scaring Trevor who let go of her quickly and asked, "What's wrong?"

Seeing her rubbing and blowing her little hand, Trevor realized that there were several red blisters, as if she was scalded. He looked at them carefully, but Victoria hid her hand behind her back with embarrassment and said,

"It's nothing!"

Trevor reached out his hand and pulled her hand out. There were not only burn marks on her fair and soft hand, but also tiny cuts made by sharp objects. They weren't that noticeable, but blood could be seen oozing out of her skin upon careful inspection. It was certainly painful!

Victoria was even more ashamed now that Trevor found out about her injury. She lowered her head and wanted to pull her hand back. For the first time, she felt ashamed that she, as a wife, couldn't even do anything well in the kitchen.

However, Trevor was greatly touched.

Trevor pulled her aside and took out a first aid kit. He found a soothing ointment, applied some on a cotton ball, and applied it gently on her wound. Soon, the burning pain on her hand disappeared, and the cuts did not hurt much as long as she didn't touch them. She was all smiles, but suddenly she looked upset and disappointed and asked,

"Am I too stupid?"

Originally, she wanted to show off in front of him, but she ended up exposing her weaknesses instead. It was so embarrassing!

Trevor rubbed her head and said, "Yes, you are stupid and foolish!"

She always did foolish things!

After putting the first aid kit away, Trevor saw that she was depressed and seemed to have taken it seriously. She looked like she was about to cry. He turned around, and poked her head and said,

"You're really a simple-minded fool!"Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.

After saying that, he held her in his arms tightly. He lowered his head and kissed her forehead, "Silly girl, there are servants at home. You don't have to be so hard on yourself!" He couldn't believe that she even hurt herself!

It could be seen that she had put in a lot of effort! He was only an ordinary man. He was really touched that there was a woman who was willing to cook for him!

However, in just the next second, what Victoria muttered hit the softest part of his heart, "However, I don't want to see you work hard all day, and still be hungry late into the night, just to eat some leftovers or takeout..."

After all, she was his wife. Victoria felt that he was her responsibility and her reputation depended on it too. She had to be responsible as long as she held the position, otherwise, it would make her seem very useless. She was a very serious person. That was a trait of hers since she was young. Once she had made a choice, she would take it seriously, even if her choice lasted for only a second.

He didn't know that it was Victoria's principle. She would have treated anyone else the same way. At that instant, Trevor was immensely moved by her consideration and care which he had never felt before.

Then, he held her even tighter and said in a softer voice, "Silly girl! My wife is worthy of utmost appreciation and love! Your hand is used to hold a pen, not a spatula!"

Trevor held her hand and kissed it, "No matter what you hold, it doesn't affect my love for you. Do you understand?"

Victoria nodded and smiled. Although it was evident that he was just trying to comfort her, she suddenly became joyful.

She still had her strengths!

Suddenly, the determination within her burned. She could hold a tiny pen, so why not a spatula? She would master it sooner or later!

"Let's go. Don't you want to see the festival lanterns?" Trevor asked.

Nodding, she led him out of the house.

Outside, looking around, the main road was ablaze with lights, and the city square was already filled with bright colours. Vaguely, they could hear people laughing all around.

"Wow, it's so beautiful!" Victoria exclaimed.

Holding his hand, Victoria was already very excited, "Darling, let's go over there! Hurry up!"

It was indeed a luxurious area. The

money was well spent. The

atmosphere of the festival was

enough to attract attention. On both sides of the street, the distinctive lanterns were scarce. Most of them were small simple lanterns that were hung in between the streetlights. Along the way, Victoria kept taking photos of herself with her cell phone. Watching her from behind, she was wrapped like a bear, making quirky poses while taking selfies. Trevor kept shaking his head.

How could she get as excited as a child over just a few lanterns?

When they arrived at the center of the square, there were several special lanterns lit up together. There was music playing too. Some people were taking the pictures of their children, some people were ice-skating, and some were dancing casually. It was very lively. It was the same as the square outside. The only difference was that behind everyone there were their subordinates or nannies.

Spotting for an empty space,

Victoria went to take a few pictures

in front of each unique ancient-style lantern, and then took a few pictures

of the lanterns from all angles. Perhaps it was her habit from her profession, but the distinctive lanterns, from the shapes to the details and the origins, gave her a lot of inspirations. That was why she took quite a number of pictures from all angles of each of them. Seeing her having fun, Trevor just stood there and didn't feel bored at all. He

even felt captivated.

Suddenly, a staggering child rushed into Victoria's arms and grabbed her legs. She almost fell to the ground. Turning around, she picked up the little

girl and asked,

"What a beautiful girl! Are you hurt?"

Shaking her head, the little girl seemed to be very happy. She pulled her braids and called softly, "Auntie!"

Victoria's heart was about to melt. She carried the little girl in her arms and giggled, "Good girl, good girl! Where's your mother? Let's look at the lanterns together, okay?"

She held the little girl for a while and then chatted with a young woman. When it was time to go, Victoria spun around with the little girl in her arms. The little girl gave her a kiss. A big girl and a small girl, looking extremely warm and harmonious.

Trevor was deeply attracted by the enthusiasm and innocence on her face, and his eyes were completely focused on her...
