Betrayal At The Altar

Chapter 121

Chapter 121

David Jones tucked some loose hair over her ear. His thumb gently caressed her cheek and rubbed her lips suggestively. His mesmerizing black eyes were surging with desire. and lust for her.

Rachel Grey could not help but roll her eyes. “David Jones, is this all you can think of?”

“All he thinks about is kissing!” she thought. How shameless!

“This is all I can do at this point,” David held her face and leaned over to kiss her forehead gently. He treated her so preciously as if she was fragile.

The next second, he said, “Rae–Rae, marry me!” It came as a shock to Rachel.

“David Jones, you’re pushing your luck!” Embarrassed, Rachel broke free from his embrace. She stood up and walked toward the desk. “It hasn’t even been a month since we met and confirmed our relationship. Now, you’re even thinking of marrying me?”

“This is my heartfelt wish!” David said.

He knew very well in his heart that he liked Rachel. He always had, from the first time he met her, even until now. It had been long premeditated.

Everything was out of his control the moment he fell in love with Rachel.

Before David met Rachel, he had never considered marriage. He did not have any plans for it nor had he envisioned himself in marriage.

However, he became obsessed with marriage ever since he met Rachel.

He wanted to announce to the world that Rachel was his. He also wanted the both of them to grow old together.

“Let’s not talk about the fact that we’ve only known each other for dozens of days. We’ve already acted rashly enough by making our relationship official. How can we marry like this? It’s slipshod.”

It would certainly cause an uproar in the Johnson family if her maternal grandfather and uncles found out about it.

Rachel leaned against the desk and looked at him with her arms crossed. “You know well that I ended a three–year relationship not long ago. That three–year relationship did not end well, so how can you guarantee our short relationship will last?”

David sneered, his tone condescending. “Don’t compare me to a scumbag.”

Rachel paused. Then her red lips curled up into a bright charming smile. “You’re right.”

“Then why won’t you marry me?” David demanded an answer. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

Rachel was about to explain when her phone suddenly rang.

It was from Mary Green.

She looked apologetically at David. “Sorry, I have to take this call.

Rachel heard Mary’s exclaims as soon as Rachel picked up the call. “Rae, I’ll marry you for

real if you were a man!”

Spill. Was there anything that happened?” Rachel knew Mary’s personality all too well.

Mary wouldn’t have said that out of the blue had she not come across something major.

On the other end of the line, Mary quickly explained what she heard. Mary retold the story of the Smiths ganging up on Rachel and the dramatic turn of events. Mary was even aware of the part where Jane Smith was demanded to kneel and apologize.

“The Smith family is full of snobbish people. Do they think you have no power or influence? And that little bitch Jane Smith dared to force you to kneel and apologize. The audacity of her!”

Rachel was the young lady of Seaxas‘ wealthiest family, the Johnson family!

Even Old Mr. Johnson had never asked her to kneel before them. How dare Jane Smith demanded Rachel to do so? Jane must be wishing for death!

Rachel did not know what to do. “Is it trending on the internet?”

“What do you think? With the Smith family’s current reputation, it’s not impossible for a few reporters to sneak in. Besides, the news of Olivia Cruise and Louis Smith’s engagement has long spread. I reckon those reporters want to film Olivia Cruise about marrying into a rich family. They weren’t expecting you to deal such a blow to the Smith family. Now, the netizens are searching for news about you everywhere! Someone even wants you to debut immediately, claiming they’re your fans!”

Rachel pursed her lips. “Not interested.”

“Then are you not going to consider razing the Smith family to the ground?” Mary asked honestly.
