Chapter 106
Chapter 106
Luca’s POV
“There are a lot of social media handlers on Instagram, and it would be easy to find one here in Italy. I’d
help you to look for one and I’d look into the person and check the person’s whole background to see if
the person is safe.” James said and I turned my head around to stare at him before starting to speak.
“Thank you so much, man.” I said to him, and I really meant it. Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
He nodded his head at me and was about to say something to me before a quite but firm knock
sounded from behind the closed door and we both turned our heads around until we were both staring
at the door.
“Yeah,” I called out, already having an idea of whom it might be, and my guess turned out to be right
when Sarah’s familiar voice echoed out audibly from the other side of the door.
“Come on in, “ I said to her and watched as the door got pushed open to reveal Sarah who was
standing at the doorway with a tray containing some things in her grip.
She made her way past the doorway and started to walk into the room, pushing the door close with her
elbow. She stopped in the middle of the room and placed the tray which she had been cradling, on the
table before finally turning around to stare at James and I.
“So, I am here to clean up your knuckles like I promised,” Sarah started to say, dragging her gaze from
James to my face and back to James face. I watched from the side of my eyes as James sat up on his
spot on the couch and started to roll up the cuffs of his shirt.
“You’re the best, Sarah.” James breathed out to Sarah and I watched as Sarah tried to hide her grin by
turning around to start moving some things on the tray which she had brought in here, moments ago.
She carried something that looked like water in a small water and made her way towards James.
She took his first hand in hers and was about to start dabbing at his cuts with a piece of cotton wool
and I stopped her with what I said.
“Won’t you find somewhere to sit?” I asked in a quiet voice, because I knew I had been right all along
that there was something wrong with Sarah’s health, and after walking in on her and Matilda, my mind
surely wouldn’t cease to be getting worried about her. She shook her head with a small smile before
starting to speak. “No, I don’t. I’d be done in no time.”
She replied to me as she started to dab at James cute, and I watched as a cease formed on James
forehead and that was the only emotion revealed on his face as she worked on his hand.
A hiss only managed to slip out from his lips once, when iodine got dabbed into his cuts and that was
that. I watched as she massaged an unknown ointment into his knuckle before finally wrapping a
bandage around his first hand. She did the whole thing to his second hand and wrapped it in a
bandage as well, as soon as she was done with cleaning tne cuts up.
James thanked her profusely and dropped a kiss on her cheeks which made her blush cutely as she
excuse herself and was out of the sitting room before we could both blink. I turned my head around to
stare at James, and then I nudged his shoulder until he dragged his eyes off his bandaged hands to
stare into my face.
“You sure do love getting her all flustered up, don’t you.” I said to him and watched as a wide grin
graced his lips as he nodded his head at him, appearing really bashful at that moment.
“Until you make tne poor woman go up in flames due to how you’re always making her turn red around
you.” I said to him and barely got what he had said in reply to me, because my mind had started to
wander around after those words as left my lips – and of course, those words has triggered lots or
thoughts of a certain person who I’d rather not think about now, to flood the whole of my head and mind
in the blink of an eye.
I shifted a little in my seat as images of Sofia turning red in embarrassment started to fill up every
corner or my head and those thoughts alone were making a certain point in my chest start to ache for
an unknown reason to me. I dragged in a slow deep breath and puffed it out in the next moment, hating
the way thoughts of Sofiw had filled up my head in a moment and I obviously had no power over how to
stop those thoughts and images from flooding in at this particular moment.
I moved forward in my spot on the couch and dragged my fingers over my face, caressing my eyes with
my thumb and index finger as another thought crossed my mind, and this one was about the first and
only time we’ve kissed. I wouldn’t even call that a kiss on a normal day, because whenever I kissed, I
always loved to leave my partner at that particular moment completely breathless with a kiss, I always
loved it when I could thoroughly kiss my partner until they’ve lost the ability to think or speak.
But what I had done with Sofia that day was to drag my lips over hers a few times and that was all–
because to had honestly been completely taken aback by what I had seen after removing the veil off
her face.
I hadn’t been expecting her to be that young looking, and looking extremely innocent and flawless while
those fear filled wide blue eyes of hers stared up into my eyes had fluttered a little, and I had felt my
heart squeeze in my chest, and that was what had weirded me out the most. And so I had just bent my
head and pressed a light kiss on her lips, because the whole thing had started to feel wrong in my head
at that moment, because of so many reasons at that moment.
But now… it would be safe to say that a week after my wedding, those thoughts which I had had in my
head, have started to change really drastically.
A knock echoed on the door and I raised my head and turned it towards the door as I said aloud.
“Who’s it?”
“It’s Matilda, I came to inform you that the table is already set and that dinner is ready.”
