Chapter 91
Chapter 91
Luca’s POV
James started to crouch down once again and I watched as he did it this time beside Ivan’s head – and
Ivan, on noticing James’ presence beside his head, had gotten startled and had tried to roll away from
the particular spot he was currently laying in, despite his hurt and badly beaten up he currently was.
But he couldn’t even manage to make a complete body roll, because James’ hand had shot out to bury
its fingers deep into Ivan’s hair, and he had used that as leverage to tug Ivan back into place until Ivan
obviously had no other choice, except to look up into James' pissed off face.
The sound of the front door getting pulled open made me raise my head up and I stared straight ahead
to focus my gaze on Ivan’s cousin who I had asked to go into the house to go get the guard who I had
sent to trick his bosses into coming out here. He came out and the guard came out a second later,
looking just as scared as his boss whom he was standing a few feet away from. I lifted my hand up and
gestured for them to come forward towards me, and they started to do as told immediately, scrambling
down and closing the distance between us to stand before me.
I reached my hand out and placed it on the guard’s shoulder and he shuddered in fear as I tugged him
towards me until he was standing really close to me, right before I moved him to my right side and lifted
my other hand and placed it on the shoulder of Ivan’s cousin’s shoulder.
Ivan’s cousin seemed to be even more shakened up then the guard and I tsked as I lifted my hand and
placed it down hard on his shoulder, and he jolted immediately, having no idea that James was still
going to give him a taste of his punches as well, because he was also part of the plan to kidnap Aria
and drug her up, just so they could have their sick and dark ways with her.
Disgusting lots.
“You see this guard?” I said to Ivan, pulling him even closer and tightening my grip on his shoulder than
I knew his shoulder would undoubtedly have started to hurt due to how hard I was pressing it on, and I
gestured towards the guard who was on the other side of my body with a tilt of my head. Ivan’s cousin’s
eyes followed mine and he nodded his head immediately, as soon as his eyes landed on the bent head
of the guard whose shoulder had my hand wrapped around.
“Are you mad at him?” I asked him and snorted as he shook his head immediately, thinking he could
deceive me just like that.
“Of course you’re not. How can you be.” I said to him in reply, agreeing with him immediately and
jerking himself closer to my side, tightening my hand on him even more, not missing the wince that
crossed his face when I tightened my hold on how shoulder even more.
“I asked him to come get you and your stupid as fuck cousin out here, have you been able to figure that
out yourself?” I asked Ivan’s cousin and watched as he nodded his head instantly while mouthing out a
reply in the next second. “Yes, yes sir.”
“And when you went back into the house to go get him, like I asked you to, what did you say to him?” I
questioned him, tightening my hold on his shoulder when a fearful expression crossed his face and he
quickly lifted his gaze and raked it over my face before glancing away, in the very next second.
“I asked you question.” I reminded him after a moment and watched as he hurriedly nodded his head
before starting to reply. “I didn’t do a thing to him, nor say a t- thing to him, I only did as told and called
him out like you ordered.” He replied in a small voice, staring down at his feet and letting out a small
groan when I tufgtened my hold on his shoulder even more tighter for a few moments before finally
starting to release my hold on him.
“Are you sure?” I questioned and he nodded his head immediately, still not lifting his head up from its
cast down position, and so I turned my head around and stared at the guard whose head was cast
downwards.
I shook his shoulders a couple of times and said towards him, “Lift your head up.” I said to him and
watched as he hesitated for a couple of seconds before raising his head up and locking eyes with mine,
and averted his head a second later, out of respect, I assumed.
“What did he say to you when he came into the hoise to come get you.” I asked the guard and watched
as his eyes widened as soon as my question sank into his head. His eyes quickly darted towards Ivan’s
cousin who had chosen that moment to glance up from his cast down position to stare straight at the
guard, like he was silently warning him to not dare say a damn word.
“Um,” The guard started to say after about a minute and I stared pointedly at him, watching as he found
it really hard to stare up into my face and had to keep staring straight at my throat, instead of into my
face like I had asked him to.
“What the fuck did he say to you, inform me right this instant.” I said to the guard and shook him a NôvelD(ram)a.ôrg owns this content.
couple of time for emphasis and watched as an unintelligent sound slipped out of his mouth, right as he
finally started to speak. “Um, he said I was dead meat once you and your guys left, and of course I
know that I wasn’t going to be alive to see tomorrow after what I had done.” The guard finally confused,
his voice trembling and shaking as he spoke.
I turned my head around to stare at Ivan’s cousin and watched as he quickly glanced downwards to
stare intently at his feet, to my utmost irritation. I moved my hand which was on his shoulder and
moved it upwards to rest it behind his throat, and then I positioned my fingers to rest on the most
sensitive pulses of his throat and watched as his head quickly flew up in realizations, a silent sound
leaving his mouth as he parted his mouth for a few seconds, only to slide his mouth close after nothing
was able to come out.
“I thought you said you didn’t say a thing to him when I asked you before?” I said to Ivan’s cousin after
a moment and watched as he blinked a couple of times before glancing at me and ducking his head
almost immediately.
“Um, I – I didn’t say a…” Ivan’s cousin was starting to say again but he trailed off and we all turned our
heads around at the sale time, to glance towards the spot where Ivan and James were still at. James
was currently standing above Ivan and by the looks of things, it seemed like James had given him a
kick which had rendered him boneless and had wrung out that kind of pained cry from him.
Ivan was writhing on the ground and moaning in pain and James was looking very pleased with
himself, and I nudged Ivan’s cousin forward, towards James. James glanced up at me and grinned
when he noticed me nodding my head at Ivan’s cousin.
“Deal with him as well, he was a huge part of the whole plan.” I said to James, tuning out the dejected
sound that escaped Ivan’s cousin’s month as soon as my words sank into his head. I watched as
James slowly walked around Ivan’s bruised up body, walking slowly towards the direction where we
were all standing, to stop really close to Ivan’s cousin’s body.
Ivan’s cousin took a small step back and was about to take another frightened step backwards, put my
hand shot out at that very second and I pushed him forward effortlessly until he was standing really
close to James. He was about to take another step backwards, but James' hand shot out and he was
placing his hand around Ivan’s cousin’s throat, using his grip on his throat to jerk him ever closer to him
until their bothers were almost touching.
“So, with how squirmish you’ve been acting ever since we arrived here, you’ve also a huge part of all
these?” James started to say and in the next second, Ivan’s cousin was crying out in pain as James
tightened his hold on his neck in a move that would be really painful, judging by the positioning of
James fingers.
“N- no sir.” Ivan’s cousin started to stutter out but before he could get another word out, James was
delivering a hard punch to the side of his head, and I watched as Ivan’s cousin staggered a little as
soon as James’ knuckle connected with his face.
Their bodyguard flinched beside me and I turned my head around to stare at him, watching as he
ducked his head immediately, staring pointedly at the ground in the next second.
