Two Hours Later….
MAGNOLIA POV
I woke up feeling so tired and stressed out, Gosh!, I slept because I want to rest, Why did this have to happen to me?
The Nightmares are back again, I sniffed and wrapped the duvet around me before stepping down the bed.
Bed…..
Wait…, Who dropped me on the bed?
How come?
I remembered I slept on the floor.
I bit my lips gently and tried walking away, Then, Maynard entered.
He led me back to the bed and I smiled.
” Is there a problem? “I asked gently not knowing what to say and he nodded.
” You were having nightmares, It’s not night yet, But it seems something is haunting you so I have to take you to the bed ”
” Oh…, not really, There’s nothing hunting me, I just feel a little bit tired ”
” Magnolia “He whispered and interlocked our hands together.
” I knew we just met few days ago but if there’s anything disturbing you, You can tell me about it ”
” Maynard, I’m fine, Trust me “I mumbled and he pushed me back to the bed.
He tucked me in and I slept off again.

Maynard set the table and I start eating immediately, It’s late at night already and I can’t wait to sleep again.
I’ve been sleeping so much these days.
In the course of eating, Fleur called, I excuses myself from Maynard and rush to the corridor to pick it up.
I hold onto the rails and smiled.
” Hey, How are you? “She asked immediately and I chuckled.
” I’m fine, I guess ”
” You called me yesterday’s night that you were going to meet Gael, I expected you to give me the feedback but you didn’t, Is there a problem? ”
” Not really, The reasons why I didn’t give you a feedback was because it turned bad, Gael tried forcing himself on me and Maynard came, I will explain to you later ”
” I think Maynard likes you, Maybs that’s the reasons why he’s always there to help ”
” Not this time around, He made things worse, But I will scale through this “I said with a smile and she nodded.
” How did he make things worse? “He asked and I sighed.
” I will explain to you once I’m back, Fleur, Don’t question me again” I shushed her and she chuckled.
” It’s night already, You should go back to the bed, Make sure you use protection ”
” Protection?, For what? “I asked not knowing what she’s saying.
” Con*doms of course, I’m sure Maynard isn’t ready to be a father ”
” We aren’t in any way dating, Fleur, you should understand better than this ”

I walked back to the room and met Maynard working on his computer.
He changed his dress to a blue cardigan and short back jean, He scratched his head softly and I walked up to him.
” I think you should go to bed “He advised and I roll my eyes.
” I’m not ready to sleep, I’ve been sleeping since ”
” While I’m here working my as*s out, I’m doing your job already, Magnolia, You owe me a lot “He said and turned the chair to me.
I fiddled my hands together and he pushed me to his laps.
I smiled gently and he wrapped his hand around my waist.
” Maynard, Don’t you think we are going too far? “I stuttered and he scoffed.
” We are going too far or you’re making me go too far? “He questions back and I gulped down nothing.
” No, I mean, There’s nothing between us right?, I don’t think it’s safe for us to start frolicking around here and… ”
” Then, Why did you behave like that yesterday’s night?, I mean, you were hurt because I told Gael to talk to you ”
” No, The reasons why I was hurt is because you knew how Gael hurt me, You shouldn’t have told him to talk to me, I mean, you should have chased him away ”
” Not like we have anything together, Why will I…. ”
” It’s okay, I will go sleep now “I interpolated rudely before scampering away from him.
He walked after me and grab me immediately.
I wiped my tears away and he smiled.

We got to the conference hall late which is my fault, I woke up late.
Maynard went ahead to sit beside the CEO of the second company while I occupied the remaining seat.
“Hi “The guy sitting beside me greeted and I bowed slightly.
He’s kinda cute and has a good physique as well.
” You’re pretty “He compliments and I nodded.
Gosh!, I hope Maynard isn’t watching, I don’t want to have any issues with him.
Four hours later…..
I jotted down all the points they talked about inside my notepad.
Maynard was busy working on the computer while the CEO makes his analysis.
Gosh!, I’m so tired, I feel like sleeping again.
The contract was signed and we snapped few photos together.
” I think we need to have dinner together, Maynard, You have a good personality “The CEO compliments and he smiled.
” Sure, I will be in my room, Once you’re ready ”
” No, We are going together now, we have lots of things to catch up with in my office ”
” Oh, Alright “He said with an eye roll and I waved at him.
” Hey, Care if we grab lunch together? “The guy sitting beside me walked up to me and I nodded.

We drank and talked till 8PM, He’s fun to be with and also handsome.
I wish Maynard can be this free and jovial but he’s workaholic.
” So, I will leave now, I need to take my bath and rest after a long day “I said smiling and we hugged partly.
I opened the door to the room and Maynard was in already.
” You’re here? “I stuttered and drop my bag.
He only nodded and opened the bottle of water, He gulped it down at once.
” I’ve been here since 5AM, I canceled the dinner because I want to spend time with you, But I didn’t see you when I arrived, So, where have you been?” He asked and I rubbed my sweaty palms together.
He seems a little bit angry.
” I was with Adrian, The guy who sat beside me in the conference hall ”
” And that’s the reasons why you left me hanging here? ”
” You should have called me so we can spend time together ”
” I called you more than ten times, Check your phone “He snapped and I bring out my phone from the bag.
I unlocked it and saw the several missed calls.
” My phone was on silent, I’m sorry ”
” Listen to yourself Magnolia, You left with a strange man for the past eight hours, You couldn’t even give me a call to ask about my welfare, you went out with a man ”
” But you said you won’t worry yourself about me, I can go out with any man I want, I’m not yours ”
” Oh, Really? “He asked breathing heavily and I nodded in fear.
Gosh!, He’s so angry right now.
