Immediately I dropped her at her mansion, I turned around to go but a guy flagged down my car, I scoffed and whined down the glass.
” Gael? “I called in surprise and he nodded.
” I’m Gael, Magnolia’s friend, And I want to talk to you, Can you hear me out? “He said pleading and I sighed.
” You should know you deserve no audience, You rui*ned Mag’s birthday for her “I snapped and he nodded.
” I know, But I can explain ” He rushed quickly and I took another deep breath.
I opened the car door for him and ushered him in.
He entered the car and I stared at him keenly, He look so troubled and depressed.
” Guess you precious Fiancee, Alena isn’t treating you well? “I asked with a hint of mockery and he chcukeled.

” She’s not my sweetheart “He corrected immediately and I nodded.
” You should talk things out with her, Maybe she will accept, And if she doesn’t, I don’t know what to do then “I said with a shrug and he nodded.
” Thanks a lot, I know what to do “He mumbled and opened the car door.
He stepped down the car and whine up, I zoomed away immediately.

” This is the most ridiculous company I’ve ever seen, Why can’t they inform you earlier that the conference is tomorrow “Mom protests and I sighed.

Since it was beside her, She passed it over to me after checking the ID and I shook my head.

I look at the screen and it was Gael calling, I rolled my eyes before dropping the phone.
” What happened?, Gael is the one calling “She said in surprise and I rolled my eyes.
” I don’t feel like picking the call ”
” Why? ”
” Because he ru….. “I shut my mouth immediately and stared at her.
Wait.., I almost leaked what happened to her.
I pressed my lips together and shook my head.
” Never mind ”
” Then pick the call “She repeated and I grab the phone..
I place it on my ear and he took a deep breath before talking.
” Magnolia, We need to talk, Can we meet this evening ” He said softly and I roll my eyes.
” I know, Send the address to me on WhatsApp, Including the time, I will be there “I rushed my words before dropping the call.

8PM
I got to the restaurant he sent to me and as expected, I met him beside his red car, Looking handsome and gloomy as well.
I let out a soft breath before walking up to him.
” And I hope your darling wife isn’t here?.” I asked spreading my arms and he shook his head.
” No, I hope I didn’t stress you ? ”
” Of course you did, My mom was there then, I don’t know how to tell her that my so called best male friend rubbed his wedding on my face, and that’s the reasons why I came, I should be sleeping by now “I snapped rolling my eyes and he nodded.
” Alright, Can we go the restaurant? ”
” After you ”

” What will you like to eat? “He asked immediately I took my seat and I took a deep breath trying to control my anger.
” I’m not here for food, Young Man ”

Minutes of silence passed, No one talked, And I understood it.

” I’m here to apologize, for the pains and disappointment I caused you, I had my reasons, I linked with Alena for a business meeting and we ended up having a night stand, Then, she insisted we get married that’s why I was in this deep mess, I broke up with her yesterday, And I’m ready to make amends ”
” For what? “I asked raising my hand up in the hair and he pulled them down.
He interwined them together, Staring keenly at me, A tear slipped down his eyes.

” You don’t want to know “I said immediately and stand up to my feet.
” I wish you the best in life, Things can’t be the way they are before, I’m sorry “I mumbled and tried leaving but he pulled me back and hugged me tightly.
I wriggled myself away from him but he held me again.
” I said I’m not interested “I yelled.
” You should be interested, Because you’re mine “He yelled back at me and I struggle to let him release my hand but he held it tightly.
Oh God!, I’m in a deep mess.
” Trying to molest her? “A deep cool voice stopped us immediately and we turned to the direction of where the voice came from.

” Maynard “I stuttered and he let go of my hand immediately, I move away from him and stay in between them.
” You said I should go on with whatever I have to say, Then, why are you here disrupting me? “Gael yelled at Maynard and he seems unmoved.
