Chapter 40 The CEO Can Cook

"You have read the news now. Aren't you afraid that others will gossip about us if you come for me

now?" Kate made fun of him.

"I'm never afraid of the gossip of others. Kate, in fact, I... " Compared with his usual gentle tone,

Moore's tone was sort of firm. He looked at Kate quietly.

Before he finished his words, he was interrupted by a knock at the door and Kate went to open the

door.

This time, it was Brian.

But his voice didn't show any ups and downs.

One was cold and the other was gentle. Kate could feel the intense lightning and thunder between

"Okay." Kate lowered her head and said in a low voice. But she felt a little sweet in her heart. She even

grinned.

With a frown, Brian reached out and pinched her cheek, and coldly asked, "what are you laughing at?"

"Nothing." Kate stopped smiling immediately and said seriously.

How could he be jealous? He just didn't like to see Kate and Moore together.

With her hands putting back, Kate followed Brian. Her arrogant boss would not admit it, even though he

was angry. She could totally understand his concerns.

Back on the sofa, Brian looked around the messy room and finally fixed his eyes on Kate.

"Boss, the scandal online is fake." Kate took the initiative to clarify, while looking at Brian with her

shining eyes.

"I know." Brian replied naturally without even blinking.

Kate was in a daze for a second, then she lowered her head and slowly sat down next to Brian. She felt

so sweet in her heart.

"I'm hungry." Brian said casually.

After a while, Kate mumbled, "I don't know how to cook."

"……" Brian turned his head and looked at her gently.

Kate lowered her head in shame.

Brian stood up and went straight to the kitchen. Kate looked at his back in surprise. She couldn't help

but wonder if the CEO could cook?

At the thought of this, with a curious look on her face, Kate quietly followed behind Brian. When Brian

slightly turned around, Kate quickly picked up the vegetables on the table and covered her face. She

then turned her face and whistled.

"Come here." Said Brian, slightly frowning.

After hearing this, Kate ran to the front of Brian without hesitation and replied with a serious voice:

"yes!"

Brian rolled up his sleeves, opened the refrigerator, took out a basket of vegetables and handed it to

Kate: "wash these vegetables."

Seeing that Brian was about to cook, Kate hesitated. Although she really wanted to see the CEO

cooking, she felt it strange and inappropriate.

want to be looked down upon by Brian.

"I have done." A few minutes later, Kate triumphantly brought the washed vegetables to the front of

Brian. She had washed every place. She was very proud. She raised her head quietly to look at Brian,

waiting for Brian to praise her.

However Kate saw Brian's face turned pale and he put his hand on his forehead and said nothing.

"Did I wash these vegetables clean?" Kate forced a smile and asked cautiously.

Brian glanced at the debris in the basket and kept silent.

When Kate was confused, Brian took out some food from the refrigerator and handed it to Kate.

Kate blinked at the vegetables. Did Mr. Brian dislike the vegetables she had washed? She scraped off

every stain and every spot she thought they were not beautiful. This should be perfect.

Kate had always been satisfied with her work. She wondered what Brian disliked.

She looked at Brian depressed, but she saw that Brian went up behind her, crossed her waist with his

hands, and overlapped her hands with the vegetables.

Kate's face was flushed again, and Brian patiently taught her to wash vegetables. But Kate's focus was

bowls of noodles, one big and one small.

When seeing food, Kate was not as innocent as before. She stared at the big bowl of noodles. She

took the instant action when Brian put down the bowl, grabbed the bigger one and took a bite.

Yes, it's so delicious! Kate was shocked and let out a satisfactory sigh.

When Kate was about to have a second bite, she suddenly found that the big bowl in front of her had

disappeared. Then she followed the direction in which the bowl disappeared and saw Brian.

Shit! She forgot it was Brian who cooked the noodles and thought it was Sherry. Each time she had

dinner with Sherry, she would eat a big bowl. Because she had a big appetite, the amount of each meal

was two times that of Sherry.

"Mr. Brian, you are so amazing. It's so delicious even you just made a simple noodles." Kate said to

Brian with a fawning face, hoping that Brian could forget her rude behavior.

Brian glanced at her and saw her flattering smile. Outside of the smile, there was more brilliance in her

eyes, especially in that charming smile. He moved his eyes away and naturally put the bowl in front of

her and said, "this is yours."

"Uh." Kate was a little embarrassed and thought, 'does Mr. Brian just want to eat the larger one?' He

didn't mind her rude behavior?

Kate looked up at Brian cautiously, only to find that Brian had taken up his chopsticks to taste the

noodles in a graceful and natural manner.
