Chapter 0138
Chapter 0138
If only Frank knew he was sending trouble straight into the Sixth. Group, he might have catapulted Yun Lei right out of Mukino International’s grand building the moment she applied.
In the company canteen, the Sixth Group gathered for a meal, aware they were down one flight attendant due to a failed medical exam.
“Should be able to get a replacement today,” Jessica mentioned.
The service team, eight in total, including two stewards and six stewardesses, was now one member short.
“Hello everyone, I’m Yun Lei, the new transfer.”
A woman approached with her tray, dazzling everyone with her
presence.
Her eyes landed on Madison first, her enthusiasm unmistakable, Captain Madison, I’ve long admired your reputation. I promise to work hard under your leadership!”
This unexpected introduction momentarily stunned the group.
Madison recovered and shook hands with her, “Please, take a seat.”
“Thank you, Captain.”
Yun Lei greeted everyone warmly, chatting amiably with Amelia, who was always adept at handling newcomers.
Her smile was cunningly foxy, “Little Lei, you’ll have to learn a lot from your seniors. Starting on international routes is a high starting point. Be cautious. And don’t be afraid of me; here, Captain Madison calls the shots.”
“Ah?” Yun Lei was taken aback.
Even Madison was puzzled; when did she start managing the service. crew?
Amelia continued to advise her with a grin, “Work hard, okay?”
“Okay…” Yun Lei managed, her breath hitched.
After Yun Lei was called away by the service manager for transfer procedures, Amelia’s smile vanished, “That girl’s up to no good.”
Jessica was puzzled, “How do you figure that?”
Yun Lei seemed fine to her – beautiful, poised, polite.
Amelia rolled her eyes, “You think your sluggish brain can see what I see? Who has more experience with the crew, me or you?”
“What’s up with her?” Jack inquired, drawing his plate closer to Amelia.
Amelia hummed knowingly, “Just a feeling she’s not here with pure intentions. She even tried to set me up wait till I handle her restless. heart.” Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
Madison wasn’t concerned with Amelia’s comments; her focus wa on tomorrow’s flight.
The nervous anticipation for her first international flight meant skipping dinner after a bath, going straight to bed.
Ethan, finishing work and finding her asleep, bent down to leave a gentle kiss on her lips.
In the restaurant, Amelia and Jessica, now neighbors in the Lakeview Estate, listened to Ethan while munching breakfast.
“Once overseas, your main job is to keep her safe. Forget the passengers if necessary.”
“Ahem…”
Jessica warned, “Big brother, it’s fine to tell us, but don’t let outsiders hear this.”
“What’s to fear?” Ethan shrugged, “Her safe return is all I care about.”
Amelia, no longer jesting, assured him, “Don’t worry, President Grant.”
That night, Madison slept soundly until dawn, waking refreshed and ready.
She left a note by still-sleeping Ethan’s bed and tiptoed out, only for him to catch her wrist, pulling her back into bed.
Ethan pinned her beneath him, his voice husky, “Planning to sneak away without a word?”
“I left a note,” she whispered.
“Four days till you’re back, huh?”
“Yep.”
“So long…”
Madison squirmed at his whining, “Up, Ethan, I have a meeting.”
“What’s the rush?”
“I’m a captain.”
“So? I’m the chairman. Shouldn’t you listen to me?”
Madison wrapped her arms around his neck, “Fine, I’ll see you first thing when I get back, okay?”
“Not good enough.”
“Ethan…”
“Alright, alright.”
He rolled away, pretending disinterest, “Go on, then.”
Madison laughed at his antics, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Two minutes later.
Jessica, stuffed with sandwich, and Amelia, holding half an egg, felt the car’s surge as Madison drove off. Through the rearview mirror, Madison caught Ethan’s frantic chase from Lakeview’s main gate.
Just two minutes before, Madison had slapped Ethan’s rear, then rushed downstairs to whisk away her half-finished breakfast
companions.
On W******p.
Ethan: Madison, I’ll be waiting.
Madison could imagine his clenched-teeth frustration as he typed.
She couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
Jessica and Amelia exchanged puzzled glances in the back seat.
Was this some new couple’s amusement?
9:15 am, the crew were ready, marching towards the terminal.
Their arrival instantly drew every passenger’s gaze, especially towards the woman leading them, recently a sensation online.
“Captain Madison? She’s flying to Paris?”
“If only I had planned a trip to Paris!”
“So beautiful! So dashing!”
Staff at the terminal respectfully greeted her, “Captain Madison.”
Stepping into the international airliner, Madison took a deep breath and scanned her fingerprint to enter the cockpit.
The view from a big plane was something else.
Madison settled in, followed by her co-pilots.
Jack looked around, “This plane is something. As co-pilot, I’ve
touched upon it, but flying it firsthand is thrilling.”
“This isn’t even the biggest,” Madison noted, “One day I’ll take you on something larger.”
Gourds perked up, “What’s larger than this?”
Grasping the control stick, Madison smiled, “Airbus A380.”
Jack and Gourds nearly lost their eyeballs, “Can we even dare to dream of flying an A380?”
Madison’s words were for them and herself, “This is just an A320-300. We’ll fly A340s, A380s, reaching higher and farther. It’s all in the cards.
Jack’s skin tingled with adrenaline, his mind awash with aspirations,” Really…”
Even contented Gourds began to fantasize piloting an A380.
Madison’s smile brightened, her eyes shimmering, “Now, let’s check the equipment, ready to embark on our first international journey.”
Jack and Gourds stood up straight, saluting, “Yes, Captain!”
Thirty minutes later.
The airliner, fitting around three hundred passengers, was packed.
“Weren’t there supposed to be twenty-plus empty seats?” Jessica was
curious.
Amelia informed, “When passengers saw it was our sister-in-law
piloting, many switched flights at the last minute, crowding in-some didn’t even make the transfer.”
Jessica was impressed, “My sister-in-law’s charm is immense.”
Just look at the eyes in the cabin, all sparkling with anticipation to glimpse her sister-in-law’s radiant beauty!
“Ding-dong-”
The broadcast began-
Three hundred passengers fell silent.
