Chapter 7
Chapter 7
He was beautiful.
Probably the most beautiful man I have ever seen. I couldn't call him a man though, I was almost certain he was my age mate.
As I walked towards my class, totally air headed, spacing out every two seconds. Trying hard not to think about him, but it was almost impossible, I could not stop thinking about his eyes. Brown orbs of beauty. The way they looked at me in annoyance was most likely the worst thing that could happen to me. I did not like that he looked at me like that, I wanted him to look at me like Sophie looked at her phone. I huffed. The sound made my friends to turn to my direction. They had questioning looks on their faces, I pouted, they did not know about my struggles yet. By the time I got here, the teacher was already in, so I didn't have the chance to tell them about the most cliche meeting with the most beautiful person ever.
"Okay fine, what?" Sophie whispered.
I was about to respond in excitement, but I remembered my number one rule, that is, no talking in the classroom, while the teacher is in. I frowned, I always followed that rule, but right now, I wanted to explode with the news.
I opened my mouth to tell them, but I think it was out of habit, since I didn't talk during classes. My mouth shut on it's own. I face palmed in sheer frustration.
"You are so clueless." Sophie said mocking me, amusement clear on her features. I huffed again, getting annoyed all over again.
"And such a baby." She added once she saw how frustrated I was.
"And definitely cute." Andrina said smiling at me. I smiled a huge smile in thanks.
Thankfully, the bell rang. And I jumped up in excitement. I have never been one to jump once school ended, so everyone looked at me eagerly.
I didn't even mind them, I hurriedly packed my books in my bag, humming happily as I did. I didn't know how to find him, but I was sure I would get a copy of his time table when I tell them I wanted to give him a tour.
"Slow down!!" Sophie said, she looked annoyed. Then I realized I was speed walking to the Principal's office.
"Sorry, I just don't want to miss him." I tell her, not stopping but reducing my speed a little.
"Who? the Principal?" Andrina asked taking long strides.
"Yeah him, and Joseph." I say, I felt a jolt in my chest at the thought of his name. Wait, what was that? I asked myself.
Sophie groaned, "please do not tell me you want to give him a tour."
"Of course I do, it's my duty." I say, rounding the corner that led to the Principal's office. Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.
"You realize we have to wait for you right?" Andrina asked me.
I turned to the both of them, pouting and blinking my eyes simultaneously.
"Do not do that ever again." Sophie dead panned. I shrug.
"Why are we heading there anyway? Is he supposed to be there?" Andrina asked
"No, I want his time table, so I can find him and give him the tour." I explained my plan.
"You do know you can just ask about the class he has right now, because you won't need the time table for anything after today." Andrina tells me, explaining slowly like I was a kid. I rolled my eyes at her.
We stopped right in front of the office, I knocked on it once, and I heard his signature grunt, it meant I could come in.
"We won't go in with you." Sophie said bluntly. I nodded, and went in myself.
"Oh Carolyn, you came back? Did anything happen?" He asked looking worried.
I sat on the chair opposite him, and flashed him a reassuring smile, he worried too much.
"No Sir, everything is fine, but I still haven't given the new student a tour, it's almost like he is purposely avoiding me, although, I know it's our clashing time tables." I tell him.
He looked relieved,
"It must have been stressing for you." He says in his fatherly tone.
I wanted to tell him, it indeed stressed me out the first time, but after I saw him, I think I like that kind of stress.
"It was no bother really. I came to ask for his time table though." I say, crossing my fingers under the table.
I wondered if it showed on my face that I wanted to stalk him, because I liked seeing his beautiful face.
"I want to meet him in his class, in case he left already, I can find him tomorrow." I quickly explained, so he won't think too much of it.
He nodded, like he completely understood, Maybe he did, maybe he didn't.
"Okay, here you go." He said passing me another copy of his time table.
I collected it with a sense of fulfillment and a huge smile on my face.
"Thank you so much sir." I say standing up.
"It's no problem, take care of yourself, and do have a nice day." He said smiling.
I nodded vigorously, and left the office.
I met my friends at the door, and I gave them a huge smile.
"He has geometry class right now." I tell them. They nodded, and we started our journey. Because the class was on the other side of the school.
"When I met him, he looked pissed, I wonder what happened." I mused out loud.
"Wait, you met him???" Sophie screeched.
I blocked my both ears, trying to block out her scream.
"Yes I did, why?" I asked after she called down.
"You didn't tell us!!" She screeched again.
I blinked, feeling the head ache forming already.
"Well, I was trying to figure out why he won't leave my mind, and why the mention of his name makes me smile, or why there is a jolt in my chest when he is mentioned, and why I can't wait to see him again." I say exasperated.
I walked forward, huffing in annoyance, I couldn't place a finger on why my heart was racing, very fast. I noticed my friends were not beside me. I turned, I saw them standing right where I left them, with mouth wide open. I blinked.
"Uhm guys?" I asked worried.
From behind them I heard laughing, I knew that laugh, Debbie. Debbie the queen of Brook High School. Whenever she was present, a junior would be bullied. She made my work harder. She activated my President mode.
"That is so funny Joseph." She said.
I didn't want to believe what I heard. Until they walked closer. My heart might have stopped. I just stood there, rooted to the ground, while the world spinned around me.
Because why was Debbie the bully, hanging on the arms of Joseph? And why was it affecting me??
