Chapter 803

Nina could easily hear the implication in Chana's words. It was obvious what she was hinting at.

"So, you're cooking for Nash?" Nina asked, playing along. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

Chana smiled. "Yes, Captain has been very kind to my son and me. I'm very grateful. He even got hurt saving us and said he would take us back to his country. I owe him my life, and I don't know how to repay him."

She paused before adding, "I've noticed Captain Nash is always alone. He must be single, right?"

Nina replied, "You can ask him yourself."

Chana hesitated. "I couldn't possibly ask him such a thing. I thought you might know since you seem to talk to him a lot."

"You've been around him longer than I have," Nina said directly. "Shouldn't you already know? Or are you worried I might get in the way of whatever you're planning?"

"That's not what I meant," Chana quickly backtracked. "Miss Nina, I know Captain doesn't have those feelings for you. You've misunderstood me. Have I offended you? I'm sorry..."

Nina didn't want to escalate the situation but kept her tone firm. "If you don't have those intentions, then neither do I. If you want to learn how to cook, you should ask someone else. I'm not the right person. I'm not good at cooking at all!"

"Alright, I understand," Chana said, lowering her head as she walked out.

Once outside, she smiled to herself, relieved. She had overestimated Nina. She thought Nina might be special, but it turned out she wasn't skilled at household tasks.

That was Chana's strength. Chana was skilled at many things such as washing clothes, cooking, managing the household. She believed these were essential skills for a woman, and she excelled at them.

She was determined to cook a great dinner for Nash.

That evening, as the bonfire crackled, Nina gazed at the stars, feeling a pang of homesickness. She wondered when she might

return home.

"Miss Nina!" James appeared, his hair still damp. IIe handed her a belt. "Captain left his belt with me. Can you put it in his tent?" Nina asked, "Why don't you take it?"

James explained, "I'm on duty tonight, and everyone else went to the river. My shift is almost over, and I don't have time to deliver it. Please help me out, I'm begging you! If Captain finds out I messed up, he'll definitely punish me!"

Seeing his pleading look, Nina agreed. "Alright, I'll put it in his tent."

"Thank you! You're a lifesaver!" James gave her a thumbs-up, and Nina couldn't refuse his request.

Meanwhile, Chana had asked around and found out that Nash hadn't eaten dinner. They had all sweated a lot during their mission and went to the river to wash up.

Seeing that Nash's tent was unguarded, she quickly brought in the meal she had prepared. She had dressed up, wearing her favorite dress and neatly styling her hair.

Walking into the tent, she felt the air was different, filled with a masculine scent. The bed was neatly made, and the table was tidy.

Chana set the food on the table. The ingredients were all from the unit. She sat there waiting, but couldn't resist tidying his clothes, folding them neatly, trying to act like a good wife.

Just then, she heard, "Captain!"

Excited, she stood up, expecting him.

Nash returned from the river, his hair still wet, toweling off as he entered. His shirt was unbuttoned, revealing his broad chest and well-defined muscles from years of training. His handsome face was strikingly perfect.

As he entered, Chana called out, "Captain!"

Nash looked up, his expression turning cold as he saw Chana in his tent. "What are you doing here?"

Chana quickly replied, "I heard you didn't eat dinner and thought you might be hungry, so I made you some homemade dishes."

Trying to impress him, she added, "I know you might not like the local food, so I tried to make some traditional dishes from your homeland. Please, sit down and see if it reminds you of home."

"Get out," Nash said coldly.
