Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 672

From what she remembered, her parents had loved and protected her, with no signs suggesting she wasn't their biological child.

But now, many years after her parents' death, her aunt told her that she wasn't their biological child.

This was a huge shock to Rosalie. If her parents weren't her biological parents, who were her real parents? Could they still be alive? Rosalie looked up at the man, and said, "I can't do a DNA test with her, as we're both trapped here."

"So, you want to do a DNA test?" the man asked.

Rosalie nodded. "Yes, I want to."

"So, should I release you so you can do the DNA test?" the man asked.

Rosalie sighed, and lowered her head in resignation.

A glimmer of light flashed in the man's eyes. "If you beg me, I might agree to it."

Rosalie frowned slightly. "You want me to beg you? Are you sure?"

"I love it when people beg me. Go ahead, beg me," the man said, winking with anticipation. His black mask obscured his expression, but his voice was like a child asking for candy.

Seeing the man's expectant look, Rosalie didn't want to beg him. His words were unreliable; begging him would be pointless.

Noticing Rosalie's silence, the man frowned. "Beg me, hurry up."

"I won't beg you."

"If you don't beg me, how will you do the DNA test with your aunt?"

"Then I won't do it. It doesn't matter. My parents are already dead. Whether they were my biological parents or not, they raised me. To me, they are my parents."

"Oh, is that so?" The man chuckled. "Don't you want to know who your biological parents are?"

Rosalie was momentarily stunned and fell silent. The man continued with a smile, "Curious, aren't you? I'm quite curious, too."

The man turned to Laila, and asked, "Do you know anything about her biological parents?"

Laila swallowed and said, "If... If you let me go, I'll tell you everything I know."

The man walked toward her. "You're still negotiating at this point?"

Laila, terrified, covered her head. "Even if you kill me, I won't tell you! I'm dead, anyway."

"Your words aren't credible. Even if I agreed to let you go, how would I know if you're telling the truth? What if you're lying? Someone like you would do anything, even betray your niece. How can I trust you to tell the truth?" Rosalie said.

"I'm not lying! This time, I'm telling the truth! I do know some things about your mother. If you let me go promise to tell you everything I. know if not, we can still do a DNA

test. That way, you'll know I'm telling the truth," Laila pleaded.

Rosalie was silent for a moment. Suddenly, she looked at the man and said, "I beg you, please let me go."

Rosalie knew how naive her words were. She was begging a kidnapper to release her. No kidnapper in the world would release a hostage based on their plea.

They would only watch as hostages cried, begged, and shouted, which further fueled their malice. But now, she was begging a kidnapper. It was incredibly naive.

Rosalie finally understood why her life was so sorrowful. Essentially, it was because she was too innocent When she was with Theodore, she had so many fantasies, which eventually led to heartache when they weren't fulfilled.

And when she stopped being trustful, Theodore said he loved her.

When she was naive, she couldn't get what she wanted no matter what. When she no longer wanted it, the other party would come back to her. Heaven seemed to enjoy playing tricks on people.

Rosalie sighed lightly, and said, "Forget it. How could you possibly let me go?"
