Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 707

They didn't want to play games with Theodore.

Therefore, they didn't verbally agree to Theodore's demand on one hand and then secretly contact Rosalie on the other.

They did feel guilty toward him, and it drove them to do as he said. They didn't want to bear the consequences of worsening their relationship. The only thing Wesley could do right now was to comfort Theodore as best as he could, in hopes his son wouldn't do anything foolish.

Silence ensued between the father-son pair.

Theodore didn't move and Wesley didn't dare move a muscle too, for fear that he might provoke him to jump.

"Theo, Grandma really wants to see you. Your mom and I have treated you unfairly, but not Grandma. She might be fierce to you, but she raised you and genuinely dotes on you. Even if you don't care about your mom and me, you should at least care about your grandmother.

"She's advanced in her years, and might not be able to take it if she were to receive such shocking news.

“Theo, I know it feels terrible, like the sky is falling, but you'll only have hope if you remain alive. What's more, you suffered such grievous injuries. Can you stand idly by, letting the culprit get away with what he did? Don't you want to take revenge?

"Theo, can you really take it lying down?"

Wesley's words sounded like a curse ringing through Theodore's ears. He shut his eyes, and clenched his fists.

Rosalie's voice replayed in his mind.

"I choose for Theodore to get injured."

She made that decision without any hesitation whatsoever.

Each time he thought of Rosalie's decision, his pain would intensify, driving him to desperation and thoughts of taking his own life.

So what if he couldn't take it lying down? Could he do anything to Rosalie?

Even if she had pierced him in the chest with the arrow with her bare hands, what could he do about it?

There was nothing he could do to her.

Everything he was suffering right now was his due punishment.

Theodore turned around, and saw tears streaming down Wesley's face.

He stared silently at his father before slowly coming down from the window and lying back down on the bed.

"Yes, it does," Theodore said with a hollow look in his eyes.

"Do you want the doctor to..."

"No," Theodore cut him off

So what if the doctors came? No one could heal him of his pain.

Wesley nodded. "Alright. But..."

"Don't worry," Theodore said, as if guessing his concerns. "I won't do anything foolish.”

"I trust you," Wesley said.

Despite saying so, he didn't leave and stayed on quietly at the same spot. Perhaps seeing Theodore standing at the window frightened him silly.

Theodore turned around, and asked, "Is there anything else?"Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.

"No, nothing". Wesley turned to leave.

He had taken just two steps, when Theodore suddenly called out to him. "Dad."

Wesley immediately turned around. "What's the matter?"

Theodore reached out and grabbed a plate of apples on the bedside table. "Mom sliced these. Take them." "Why don't you want them?"

"I just don't. If you don't want them either, just chuck them away."

Wesley stopped forward to receive the plate. "Get some rest, then."

He then left the ward with the plate in hand, staring at the sliced apples with a sigh.

How could he bear to throw away fruits that Sydney sliced with her own hands?
