Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 722

Yvonne drove to the address Rosalie had given her, which was a high-end private hospital.

By the time they arrived, visiting hours were over. When Rosalie tried to go to Theodore's ward, a nurse stopped her and wouldn't let her in.

Rosalie had no choice but to call Sydney, who then contacted the hospital to allow Rosalie to enter. After receiving Sydney's call, the nurse no longer stopped Rosalie.

After much hassle, Rosalie finally reached the door to Theodore's ward. She took a deep breath, feeling incredibly nervous.

Seeing Rosalie's worried and fearful expression, Yvonne asked, "Do you want me to knock for you?"

"No, I'll do it myself."

Yvonne nodded, and pushed her wheelchair forward.

Rosalie gathered her courage, and gently knocked on the door. Theodore was right inside, just one door away from her. Rosalie's heart raced.

There was no response. Could it be that Theodore had already fallen asleep? Should she not disturb him right now? But she had already come all this way, and she couldn't just leave.

"Rose, what's wrong? If you're too scared, I can take you back now. You can come see him once you've recovered."

"No." Rosalie shook her head.

She closed her eyes. After composing herself, she spoke.

"Theo, it's me."

She wanted Theodore to hear her voice.

"May I come in? There's something I want to say to you."

But there was still no response from inside.

Rosalie thought that maybe Theodore heard her voice, and became even more unwilling to open the door. After all, he didn't want to see her in the first place. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been avoiding her.

Rosalie began to worry. Would her sudden visit upset Theodore? He didn't want to see her, but here she was, forcing a visit.

When she hadn't seen him yet, Rosalie was determined to come. But now, standing just one door away, she became scared.

She was torn between two conflicting feelings-one of wanting desperately to see him, and the other of fearing she might disturb him.

"Theo, I know you're very angry with me, and I can't argue against that. I just want to say I'm sorry. I don't expect you to forgive me. Theo, will you please let me in? I'm begging you, Tet me see you. I'm really worried about you."

"Theodore, I'm begging you," Rosalie went on as tears began to fall from her eyes. I'm sorry, Theo. I'm really sorry. I know it's my fault. I was in so

much pain at the time, and no so

matter who I chose, it would have been the wrong choice."

She lowered her head, and gently stroked her belly. She summoned all her courage and said, "Theo, I'm sorry. I've been keeping something from you all this time. I'm pregnant. Our child is almost five months along."

As soon as she said those words, a heavy weight had been lifted from her heart. She felt a sense of relief, but at the same time, an overwhelming emptiness.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g

Rosalie leaned weakly against the wheelchair, her hand still resting on her belly.

"Theo, I've finally said it. I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have kept this from you."

"Before the divorce, when you returned from your business trip, I wanted to tell you right away. But then, you suddenly asked for a divorce. In that situation, I had no choice but to keep it from you.

"I didn't want to use the child to tie

you down, and I was scared. I thought you loved Cynthia so much one

pregnancy, even up until the

divorce."

"I kept thinking that one day, I would tell you. I didn't know when, but I thought at least I wouldn't let you find out until the baby was born. But I was wrong, Theo. I realize now I should have told you from the very beginning."
