Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 781

As soon as Sebastian turned around, Christopher said coldly, "Sebastian, I'm serious. This isn't up for discussion. You must divorce Rose." Sebastian stopped in his tracks. "Why?"

He turned around, anger simmering on his face.

"I don't understand! Even my father isn't saying anything. Why are you suddenly trying to tear me and Rose apart?"

"I'm doing this for your own good. You can't be together."

"Why not?"

Seeing Christopher fall silent, Sebastian assumed he couldn't come up with a reason.

"Uncle, is it because Rose is pregnant with her ex-husband's child? Do you look down on her?"

"No."

"Then why?"

"Sebastian, can you tell me have you regained your memory?"

If Sebastian had his memory back, he would tell him about this. If he hadn't, they might need to take their time.

Mentioning "regained memory" made Sebastian clench his fists, his palms growing sweaty.

"I haven't fully regained it. Most of it is still missing."

Hearing this, Christopher was skeptical.

The only reason he had even a little faith was that Sebastian was his nephew. If it were someone else, he wouldn't even give them a chance.

"Sebastian, divorce would be better for both of you. Otherwise, you might regret it later."

"Enough! Rose and I have already agreed that no matter the reason for our marriage, as long as I don't file for divorce, she will never leave me. She's willing to be my wife forever."

"What did you say?" Christopher stepped forward, his tall figure looming over him. "She'll be your wife forever? She said that?"

"Yes, if you don't believe me, go ask her. Rose has promised me because I'm the best man for her in this world."

He had finally endured the hardships; he was almost at the finish line.

And yet, Christopher wanted them to get a divorce-how ridiculous!

He wouldn't accept it! He wouldn't even entertain the idea, not even as a dismissive thought.

"Sebastian, have you changed, or have I just never really seen you for who you are?"

Christopher would rather believe

that Sebastian hadn't really regained his memory; then he would at least have an excuse. Sebastian had lost his memory, so his personality changed.

If Sebastian really had his memory back and it was still like this, then everything he showed before might not be the real him.

"Uncle, I'll always be me. I'm one of the Carters."

Staring into Sebastian's cold eyes, Christopher seemed a bit helpless.

"Yeah, you'll always be Geoffrey's

don't take things too far. Otherwise, son. But Sebastian, remember thiet

might regret it."

With that, Christopher turned and left.

Sebastian's fists clenched tighter.

Why did his uncle suddenly bring up this kind of thing? What had he done that was so extreme?

And what did his uncle mean by not taking it too far?

What a joke.

If you don't cut the weeds at the root, they'll just grow back in no time.

If he didn't take things to the limit, wouldn't that just give the other person a chance to fight back?

"You're just my uncle; you have no right to interfere in my marriage and my life!"

This was the first time Sebastian had ever lost his temper with Christopher.

He was just an uncle-who was he to demand they get divorced?

Sebastian returned to the hospital room. He still had a dark expression at the door, but once he stepped

inside, he wore a bright smET Y

"Seb, you're back! What did Uncle say to you?"

Sebastian smiled gently and sat by the bed. "He told me to take good care of you. Uncle is really quite good to you." Rosalie nodded. "Yeah, he's like a mentor-he gives me encouragement, guidance, and a strong sense of warmth."

"Isn't that a good thing?" Sebastian held her hand. "We're all family."

Rosalie gently withdrew her hand and tucked it under the covers.

Sebastian smiled faintly, his expression neutral. He pulled his hand back.

"Honey, what do you want for lunch?"

He softly reminded her with the word "Honey" that she shouldn't have pulled her hand back.
