Chasing My Pregnant Wife

Chapter 786

"Good point." Rebecca nodded. "It has to be up to the young people. But I think they'll agree; I know they love each other. After all, they've known each other since childhood."

Mentioning this made Rebecca smile; she was clearly looking forward to it. She yawned, seeming a bit tired.

"Feeling sleepy? Mom, you should lie down and rest for a bit," Wesley suggested.

"Alright, I'll take a little nap. Getting older really takes a toll on me," Rebecca said, jokingly.

"You're still young, Mom! You've got decades ahead of you," Wesley reassured her.

"Haha," Rebecca laughed. "I'm not counting on living that long; otherwise, I'd just be an old hag!"

After a few more exchanges, Rebecca settled into her hospital bed to sleep. Sydney and Wesley stepped out of the room.

"I'll call Theo," Sydney said, pulling out her phone.

"Do you think he'll pick up?" Wesley asked, recalling the message Sydney had sent him last night, assuring him Theodore was okay. Even though Sydney was considering divorce, Theodore was still their son, and she needed to share updates about him with Wesley. "He has to answer," she replied.

In fact, Sydney wasn't sure either. She dialed Theodore's number, and waited for a while until it connected.

"Mom, I need some time alone to think-" Theodore said.

"Your grandmother is sick," Sydney interrupted.

"What did you say?" His tone shifted immediately. "What's wrong?"

"Dementia. She's forgotten many things; she even thinks you and Rose aren't married yet."

"Where is Grandma? Which hospital?" Theodore asked, panicking.

Caleb had prepared lunch and set it on the table; it was then he noticed Theodore had already dressed and looking like he was about to head out. "Where are you going? Lunch is ready," Caleb said.

"Something happened to my grandma. I need to go," Theodore replied, moving toward the door.

Suddenly, he stumbled, clutching his

chest in pain, swaying unsteadily. He had been severely injured, and it had only been a few days. He hadn't completely healed.

"You can't go like this!" Caleb exclaimed. "What happened to your grandma?"

"She's in the hospital. She's sick, and I need to get there fast."

"You can't drive in this state!" Caleb insisted. "I'll drive you."

Theodore reluctantly agreed. "Thanks."

Caleb drove him to the hospital. As soon as they arrived, Theodore rushed inside while Caleb parked the car. This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

Seeing Theodore arrive safely, Wesley and Sydney breathed a sigh of relief.

"How's Grandma?" Theodore asked, his face pale.

Seeing him like this, Sydney felt a pang of sadness. They had met not long ago, but he looked much more worn out than before.

"The doctor confirmed that it's dementia. She's forgotten some things," Sydney explained.

"I need to see her," Theodore said, making his way to the ward.

"Wait," Wesley stopped him. "Your grandmother is asleep right now. Just give her a moment."

"Be careful when you talk to her," Sydney advised. "She's forgotten many things, and is confused about time. She thinks you're still not married to Rose. You need to be gentle and go along with her."

Theodore nodded. "Got it."

His expression suddenly turned thoughtful. "I need to tell Rose. I have to contact her."

Before this, he was still resentful

toward Rosalie, but with the wave

things were now, he had to contact her. He couldn't be stubborn during such a time.

Before he could pull out his phone, Sydney grabbed his hand. "Wait."
