Chapter 39

The ladies make Kim feel right at home. The food was good to. They laughed and told her stories about the MC and how Raven and Tank got together.

Kim didn’t mention her MC as she still didn’t know if they were rivals. Besides, she’s leaving that life.

“Ok, so I know the cut and highlights you need to do tonight, but I was wondering if you would stay and fix my hair for the wedding tomorrow?” Raven asked.

“Sure, why not. I have nothing waiting for me at home.” Kim replied.

Raven hugged her. “You don’t know how much this means to me! You ever need anything, I owe you. It’s called a marker. And you can call it in for anything, anytime.” Raven explained.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

BACK AT VET MC

Raine went to Jax’s office. “Jax?” Raine asked.

“Yes baby?” Jax asked.

“Something is wrong. Kim never got to her parents’ house. She left over 5 hours ago to pick up her last check and hasn’t been heard from or seen since.” Raine explained.

“Is she not answering her cell?” Jax asked.

“No. Jax I’m worried. This is not like Kim. Where is she? Her parents haven’t heard from her. Sam hasn’t either. I called her old job. She just said Kim came by and got her check and left. I called all the hospitals and police departments too. Jax where is she?” Raine cried.

“Ok. Let’s go to I. T.’s house.” Jax replied.

Once they got there, they filled him in.

“I checked her car, no gps. What’s her cell number?” I. T. asked.

Raine gave it to him. He entered it into his computer and a little while later gave them the news.

“It’s off now but the last cell tower it pinged off of is not good. The only thing in that location for miles is one warehouse.” I. T. replied.

“Whose warehouse?” Jax asked.

“Well, it’s not really a warehouse anymore, it’s a clubhouse. Joker’s MC clubhouse to be exact.” I. T. replied.

“Fuck! What current info do we have on them since Blackjack’s son took over? We had no troubles with Blackjack, we have lived in peace while he was Prez.” Jax replied.

“Well if they are friendly can’t you just call and ask?” Raine asked.

Jax shook his head. “We need to have church. Call the brothers in.” He told I. T.

“You know Ice is going to flip his shit.” I. T. warned.

“Good! He deserves it! This is all his fault!” Raine retorted.

“Baby calm down, don’t get all worked up, it’s not good for you or the baby.” Jax cautioned.

“Then tell your brother to quit fucking up and pissing me off!” Raine ordered.

They went back to the clubhouse. Raine saw Ice at the bar and stormed up to him. “You! This is all your fault! You better pray nothing happens to her, or so help me God I’ve, I’ll never forgive you!”

Then she turned and stormed off to her room. Ice turned to Jax.

“What was that all about brother?” Ice asked Jax.

“Church, and then I’ll fill you in.” Jax replied.

They went into their meeting room. The brothers sit down waiting to hear what Jax has to say.

“Steele, bar the door.” Jax ordered.

“Ok Prez.” Steele replied.

“Everyone else sit. We have a situation.” Jax explained.

“Kim went to pick up her paycheck around 10am this morning. She was leaving straight for her parents’ house right after. However, she never made it. Raine called the shop and the manager said she came by and picked up her check and left around 10:30am.” Jax explained.

Ice clenched his fists. His heart was beating hard, he felt sick to his stomach.

“Raine was right, he thought. I did this.”

“I. T. was able to track her cell until it was cut off. The last cell tower it pinged off of was near the Joker’s MC clubhouse.” Jax explained.

Ice stood up so fast his chair went flying backwards. He strode right for the door.

“Steele!” Jax warned.

“Move brother!” Ice barked.

“Not happening brother.” Steele replied.

“Hunter, Blade.” Jax ordered motioning for them to help Steele.

Hunter and Blade grabbed Ice by his upper arms.

“Ice stop and think about this! We go storming in their guns a blazing and it could get her killed! We need a plan and intel, and for that brother, we need all heads in the game!” Jax warned.

“Ok, ok, I’m fine.” Ice replied as he picked his chair up and sat back down.

Everyone else sat back down as well.

“Ok, so what do we know?” Ice asked.

“I know the whole time Blackjack was Prez we have been peaceful towards each other. They are a small chapter here about 20 members, but they are a charter like us with chapters in other areas.” Jax explained.

“I know when he became Prez he cleaned up the MC and went mostly legit. No drugs or violence. But his son took over 3 years ago. I’ve not heard of any trouble since. And I don’t know what kind of man he is.” Jax explained.

“So, we send out a couple scouts. Scope out the place and set up to go in.” Ice replied.

“Looks like that’s our only option. But we will not storm the clubhouse unless we have good cause.” Jax warned.

“We do this quietly and we will not jump the gun. Since Kim’s phone is off and she hadn’t called, we have to assume she’s there against her will.” Jax replied.

“Brother if one hair of her beautiful red hair on her head is harmed, I’ll wipe out every single one of them!” Ice warned.

“Let’s make sure they deserve it first.” Jax warned.

“Brother what are you saying? You think she may be there because she wants to?” Ice scoffed.

“I’m just saying that we have no idea what’s going on and we will not rush in destroying a club and risking our brothers lives. We have to proceed with caution.” Jax ordered.

Jax sent a couple of prospects ahead to scout the place out. The rest were waiting to hear back from them before they left. Ice was pacing back and forth.

Ok brothers, keep your head. One wrong move and we could have casualties. Understand? Ice?” Jax demanded.

“Yeah, I got it!” Ice growled.
