Chapter 29 Panic

Margery was quite surprised with her eyes wide opened. She stressed every single word while gritting her teeth, "Did you just say that Ethan didn't take the initiative to hit him but he incited other kids to beat Layne up? And Layne was almost knocked out?"

"Ms. Byrne, please watch your attitude. Do you think I, as a teacher, will lie to you?"

Ms. Hall was quite mad while speaking. She suddenly raised her sharp voice, which rendered Margery feeling a bang of headache.

"Let me tell you! The parents of Layne have been offering millions of sponsor fee every single year. And their only request is to take good care of Layne. Now we didn't know what we should do when facing his parents! I have been a teacher for so many years and this is my first time to encounter such an aggressive kid! Ms. Byrne, please come here. When Layne's parents arrive, please apologize to them with Layne."

"Okay, I will be right there!"

Margery hung up the phone and took off her white gown. She immediately grabbed her phone and car key from the table. Then she hurried to rush out.

As soon as she got into the car, she activated the engine and hurried to drive her car on the busy road.

As the wind outside the window rushed to her face, she was rendered quite agitated.

She knew that Ethan did this just to revenge her as he saw her crying yesterday. So Ethan might probably deem that it was Golden who had humiliated her yesterday.

Since Golden dared to humiliate her, Ethan would choose to retaliate against his son. But he wisely got himself off the fight. Instead, he made other kids in the class beat Layne up.

Margery couldn't help blinking out of annoyance, though she was indeed amused at the thought of that.

When she was still on her way to the kindergarten, Ms. Hall made a call to her again, "Ms. Byrne, where are you now? Layne's mother has arrived. She is about to take Layne to the hospital. Please be quick!"

While waiting for the traffic light, Margery answered the phone, trying her best to stay patient, "Okay, I am on my way. I will arrive about twenty minutes later."

At this moment, the light turned green.

Margery immediately stepped on the gas and rushed forward.

At the same time, Vivian was standing in a room beside a bright classroom in the kindergarten. And she was staring at a tough-looking kid, who stood still in the classroom. This pretty little boy was wearing a delicate face with fair skin, rosy lips and shining teeth, frowning impatiently. His Every single move looked so much like Golden.

She even failed to figure out an excuse to convince herself that he might not be Golden's son.

However, Margery had died five years ago. Besides, Golden had been impotent during these years. It would be impossible for him to have an illegitimate child. So where did this boy come from?

Vivian still remembered that she herself witnessed the burnt dead body of Margery five years ago. And it was Golden who burnt her into ashes and buried her into the cemetery in the suburban area.

Vivian was totally trapped in panic. When noticing that Ms. Hall was still looking at her from behind, she immediately calmed herself down and covered her mouth with her fair hand. She cleared her voice and asked elegantly, "Ms. Hall, since it happened, did you notice Ethan's parents?"

"I have noticed his mom and she said that she was on her way. She should arrive soon."

When hearing her mentioning about 'his mom', Vivian was rendered quite panic.

She immediately dragged Ms. Hall aside and asked out of instinct with sharp voice while her pale lips were trembling, "Do you know about the name of his mother?"

"Oh, sorry, I don't know. When Ethan was admitted, we only recorded the name of his father. Well, his father's name is…Michael Byrne. Yeah, that's right, Michael Byrne!"

Michael Byrne?

Vivian frowned. She was still feeling agitated. But she tried to calm down and kept pondering. However, she didn't find herself acquainted with someone named Michael Byrne.

Since then, Vivian was sure that she was just a stranger to Ethan's father. And so was Golden.

Vivian turned around and stared at Ethan's little face. She turned to be vicious gradually.

She grabbed the bag hard and raised her voice, looking cold and repellent, "Ms. Hall, Layne is a weak kid. And today he was beaten by the other kids in the class. He was suffering both mentally and physically. I need the explanation from the principal of the kindergarten! Now Layne is seriously hurt. I need to drive him to the hospital first! forward with a fawning smile, "Miss Martin, the door of the backyard is still open. Let me walk you and Layne to the car and I will close the door after that. There is a hill outside the door and there is barely anyone there. I don't want any kids to be missing."

Suddenly, Ethan caught her words clearly.

He opened his big eyes and then walked out of the room. He headed straight forward the door of the backyard.

He still remembered Melvin once told him that as a boy, he should be responsible for what he had done. Of course, he didn't want his mom to be arrested because of himself.

So he deemed that his mom wouldn't be arrested if the police found him missing.

While Vivian was walking and Ms. Hall was stepping aside the answer the phone, she turned around and happened to notice that Ethan was walking towards the backyard.

Seeing that, she let out an evil smile. Something vicious suddenly popped out in her mind.
