I’ll Miss You, Spitfire
I’ll Miss You, Spitfire
Elizabeth's POV Narrowing my eyes, I study his face keenly. “It’s hard to tell.”
It's indeed hard to tell. He looks cute, like a modest man—but he also has this regal side to him... this look of an extremely dangerous man. I don’t know what to think or believe.
His mouth widens in a smile and he takes a peek at the gold Versace wrist watch strapped on his wrist. “We'll continue this conversation when I get back, I’m running late for work.” He spins around on his heels. jo." I respond adamantly. He pauses in his steps and twists the upper part of his body to look at me. "No, what?" “No, you're not going anywhere.” A corner of his mouth lifts in a smirk. “Okay then.” As if he changed his mind, he turns and then walks around the car front and gets in the driver’s seat. What's he doing? He starts the car and revs it. What in heaven's name is he trying to do? My brows furrow as I stare at him through the windscreen, and he returns my look with a smirk on his face. Does that smirk ever leave his face?... He gives me a knowing look as I watch him keenly. I think I know what he's doing—Oh no, he’s going to run me over. He revs the car again and I flinch. Without sparing him another glance, I scurry over to the side with a yelp I shoot him a glare when I see him laughing. Beast. I'll make sure I ruin you.’ He mutters something as he steps out of the car, but I don't hear it. ‘I'll miss you, Spitfire.” He smiles at me as he steps into the backseat while the chauffeur gets back into the driver's side. Fuck you.’ I mouth and watch as his mouth lifts into a smirk. He mouths, ‘when?’ waving Pervert!!! I stand still in annoyance as the car drives out of the mansion. Three other vehicles follow in tow; two vans and a benz. He must be a really big person to have this amount of security following him. Well, bad people have a lot of people after their lives, that's why his security is so tight. Because he’s a bad person wanted by many. I hope he dies on his way. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Stomping my foot on the ground, I march into the house angrily. I proceed upstairs, sparing no one as little as a glance. I jam the door shut behind me and fling my body on the bed.
Who does that man really think he is—locking me up in this strange place? I didn’t even know where this is. I haven't been able to contact Derek, and Susan, oh!
Susan. She must be very worried right now. I bury my face in the pillow and begin to sob quietly as realization hits me. I might actually end up...
The thought that I might spend the rest of my life in this foreign place terrifies me and I sob even more.
A soft kngék on the door makes me. stir awake. I squint my eyes at the sunrayof light peeping throught the Silk curtains and look around> quickly. t to» This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Where am I?’ I wonder for a few seconds Then, realization hit me. Oh. I'm still here...
I cried myself to sleep. Wow.
I really wigFMt's all been a dream and I'm back if the tiny apartment I. share with Susan, but no. Hered am, rubbing my puffy eyes with the back of. tiny hands in this big roomn.
The same sound that woke me up drifts me out of my thoughts and I heave a weary sigh.
I scamper to my feet and head to the bathroom to rinse my face.
Even after rinsing, it was still looking so puffy. One look, and anyone will know I've been crying. Resigning to my fate, I walk out of the bathroom and open the door.
“Hello, Lizzy.” Moana grins at me but her grin vanishes as quickly as it appeared.
“Christ, what's wrong.” The grin is soon replaced with a concerned expression.
I stare at her helplessly and bite back the tears that’s threatening to escape from my eyes.
“It's nothing.” But my voice breaks as I speak, betraying me.
Moana heaves a sigh and takes my hands in hers.
“Talk to me.” She sounds like she won't take an excuse for an answer.
Heaving a sigh myself, “I’m scared.” A tear trickles down the side of my face.
I notice the expression on her face go from a lost one to a Knowing one and she smiles a small smile.
She might help me get out of here, right? Why didn’t I think of that before?!
A little light penetrates through my heart.
‘I've known and worked for Mr. Ethan for five years now—and still counting.” She starts, calmly.
That's a lot. Not too much, but still much. Five years is no beans.
“He’s a good man. He'll never hurt anyone. He'll never hurt you.”
I hate where this is going.
“He kidnapped me. He brought me here against my will, and you call that being a ‘good’ man?” My voice cracks.
‘I’m sure he has his reasons.”
What stupid reasons could there possibly be that'll make someone kidnap a harmless woman like me?! My head aches. “Okay.” I reply, simply.
This one can't help me. She’s a no.
Moana is {60 devoted to her boss. ~ She won't fgo against him for =< anything, It'll do me good to keep my mouth shut, and my thoughts sto mySelf. r S
Moana nods her head and lets go of my hands. “You haven't had any food to eat since morning.” ‘I'll wash up and head downstairs in a bit.” I force out a smile.
She nods her head politely once again, "I'll go set the table.”
I'm out of words, so I only nod in response
I press my lips tightly together as I watch her retreating form
I need to figure out a way to get out of here ASAP.
But first—
