Chap 75
Chapter 75 en
Nightmare
After they finished enjoying lunch together, Mrs Anna, Jessica, and Cassandra got back in the car. Ronald, as a driver, ran a four-wheeled vehicle at medium speed towards the boutique.
Jessica began to choose one of the peach-colored dresses. “You first try, Jess!” Cassandra said. There were two other dresses in navy and maroon in her hand.
“Yes,” Jessica said, stepping into the dressing room.
While Mrs. Anna and Cassandra waited, they were looking at other dresses that might be suitable for Jessica.
“It looks like a good dress, aunty,” Cassandra said. She was showing peach-colored dresses with other models.
“Yes, it looks like this dress is indeed suitable for Jessica’s skin color, look at her, Cassandra, there are so many dresses that fit with Jessica I think I will choose a lot of clothes for her.” Mrs. Anna again chose three other dresses and wanted to immediately tell Jessica to try them on.
Cassandra glanced with a sour look. She really didn’t like the way Mrs. Anna looked at Jessica.
“Jessica,” Mrs. Anna called her because it had been about fifteen minutes Jessica had been in the dressing room but she hadn’t come out either.
“Jessica,” Mrs. Anna repeated and pulled out the curtain. How shocked Mrs. Anna saw Jessica in a helpless sprawl. Not only that fresh blood was also flowing down his legs.
“Help!” Mrs. Anna cried, feeling weak from what she saw.
Not long after, several people ran to the source of the sound, and immediately helped Jessica.

In the waiting room of the ER hospital.
Mrs. Anna was sitting down. Her head bowed languidly. She hoped nothing happened to Jessica. However, she had low expectations because she saw fresh blood running down on Jessica’s legs.
“Don’t cry, Mom,” he whispered to his wife.
“I was just afraid that something would happen to Jessica or that something would happen to her. It’s mom’s fault, Dad, Mom shouldn’t have taken Jessica to go out!” Mrs. Anna had not stopped shedding tears since finding Jessica unconscious.
“Is Lexi here yet?” Mr. Samuel asked. There was Cassandra and also Ronald who was currently accompanying them in the waiting room.
“I’ve been trying to contact Mr. Lexi. However, the number has not been active. It must be he is in an airplane,” Ronald said. He was sitting next to Cassandra. There was something strange about the woman next to him. Instead of sitting still and feeling anxious, Ronald saw a smile on Cassandra’s face several times.
Ronald was eager to erase his prejudice against Cassandra. However, he still felt weird about what happened to Jessica because this woman was involved in it.
A female doctor came out of the ER.
“Is Jessica’s husband here?” the white-robed woman asked.
“I am her mother,” Mrs. Anna said, getting up from her seat and walking over to the doctor. “The husband is still on the way, How is Jessica, doctor?” Mrs. Anna took both hands of the woman’s doctor in the hope that Jessica’s womb would remain fine.
“Before that, I’m sorry, I had to convey this, Jessica’s womb could not be saved. Jessica’s womb had a miscarriage and we will do a curettage soon so that there will be no problems in the future!” the doctor told.
“Jessica’s miscarriage?” Mrs. Anna asked for sure.
The doctor nodded and went back into the room. Soon, it would move to the operating room to curettage her womb.

An hour passed. Because Mrs. Anna fainted, two were hospitalized in the treatment room.
Now there was only Ronald and Mr. Samuel sitting and waiting. Neither Jessica came out of the operating room nor Lexi arrived at the hospital.
After about an hour, Mr. Samuel and Ronald waited in the operating room. A doctor came out followed by the nurses who would immediately take Jessica to the treatment room.
“How is my daughter-in-law doing, doc?” Mr. Samuel asked.
“We’ve already done the curettage, Sir. Now, all we need to do is tell the patient to accept the reality that she had a miscarriage, ” the woman’s doctor said. He saw Jessica crying in silence.
The clock was already eight in the evening. Lexi was not here yet.
Mr. Samuel and Ronald, it would be unpleasant to enter Jessica’s treatment room while there was no Cassandra nor his wife.
Because Mrs. Anna’s condition was still weak, Cassandra was the one who went into Jessica’s treatment room to see her condition.
Slowly, Cassandra opened the door. Then,
“Have I lost my baby?” Jessica said, who had been laying in the treatment room alone.
Cassandra nodded slowly.
Jessica, still in tears, couldn’t stop crying. The long-awaited baby, the love with Lexi was gone.
“What happened?” Jessica asked. His lips trembled and sobs were heard more often.
“You were unconscious in the dressing room! We all immediately brought you here, and it turned out that you miscarried Jess!” she said clearly. Cassandra was calm as if she had guessed all this.
“Where is my husband?” Jessica tried to be tough by wiping away her tears. She didn’t want to look pathetic in Lexi’s presence. Her husband, for sure, would be even sadder if she saw her sad. Mom and dad, they were both sad.
“Lexi hasn’t arrived yet,” Cassandra said. She didn’t like Jessica the most.
How hard it was to hold back tears. Jessica could not. The tears remained dripping from the corner of her eyes.
It was only Jessica’s voice that was heard. Because Cassandra prefers to be silent. If not for the sake of waiting for Lexi’s presence, she would not waste time just watching Jessica cry.
“You know why this is happening?” Cassandra started, opened up a chat.NôvelDrama.Org owns this.
Jessica nodded slowly. If she had stayed home, the baby in her womb might have survived.
“I think this is a warning to you, Jess!” Cassandra said in a low voice while sitting on the sofa close to the main bed.
“What do you mean?” Jessica asked.
“All this time Lexi has only pretended to love you. Not only that, Mr. Samuel and Aunt Anna as well. They only pretend to be good because they want to get grandchildren from your marriage to Lexi,” Cassandra told.
“I can’t believe it! Don’t say that Cassandra. You better get out of my room!” Jessica banished her.
“I didn’t lie. It’s all about that, Jess! We’ll see, after this who wins, you or me?” Cassandra has already started to get a place. She felt in the same position.
“Shut up!” Jessica screamed.
“After knowing you can not take care of your womb. I’m sure sooner or later Lexi will dump you Jess! So get ready!” Cassandra said.
“Get out of my room!” Jessica growled.
“Yes, I will go now!” Cassandra got up from her seat and left Jessica alone.
Cassandra got out of Jessica’s treatment room. There was Ronald and Mr. Samuel sitting next to the door of the room.
“How is Jessica?” Mr. Samuel asked.
“She wants to rest, uncle,” Cassandra replied. “I’m going home now.”
Mr. Samuel said yes. Meanwhile Ronald secretly followed where Cassandra had gone.
In Jessica’s room.
The woman stared blankly at the ceiling of the room. She was thinking about the baby. She thought about what she would say to her husband.
“My husband, how is this? What Cassandra said is true that you’re just pretending to love me?” Jessica muttered. “What about our baby?”
Jessica started to look up. She didn’t know what she was going to say when Lexi arrived.
