Chap 86
Chapter 86 en
I need to pick her
That night Lexi intended to sleep fast. At eight o’clock he entered his room. However, instead of feeling sleepy he looked unable to sleep. Both of his eyes still looked fresh. Even so, his brain was always thinking of Jessica. Yes, longing was heavy, so heavy that it made both of his eyes couldn’t close.
“Hah!” Lexi kicked the blanket down. His brain couldn’t shut up. He finally decided to see his mother. Maybe talking to her would ease the burden on his heart a little. In the apartment alone, it really didn’t make it better, but it made it even worse.
Then, Lexi immediately got out of bed. He walked out his room. There were not many memories of Jessica in this room. It’s just that his brain and heart were always focused on his wife. It’s useless to go anywhere. It’s not his place that’s in trouble, it’s his heart that’s in trouble because he missed Jessica so much.
Lexi went into the elevator. It drove him to the basement. So, he immediately got into the car and drove it towards his house.
On the way, Lexi tried to absorb what he really wanted. It didn’t take long to get the answer. Right now, it’s just Jessica. Only Jessica always filled his head. Meeting her was what he should do in the near future.
Yes, he really wanted to meet Jessica. That’s the advice from Arsene. After twenty minutes, Lexi finally arrived at her parents’ residence.
The maid opened the door for him. She was glad to see Lexi here. At least with the arrival of the man this house would not be like a cemetery anymore because it was only inhabited by Mrs. Anna and Mr. Samuel who lately prefer to be silent. The look on his face also described the pain.
“The maid, Where is my mom?” Lexi wanted to see her mom.
“Mrs. Anna has just gone up to the second floor, sir, Mr. Samuel has not come out of his room,” she said.
“Thank you, I will go upstairs to meet her. Oh, meet my dad, please offer him a drink,” he said.
“Yes Sir.”
Then Lexi immediately stepped towards the stairs. He walked upstairs with a bit of a run. You know, when you have a problem you want to solve it right away, so that’s what happened with Lexi. He missed it and he wants it fixed soon.
Lexi’s eyes lit up the room. His mother was not on the second floor. Then he went to her room, maybe Mrs. Anna was there.
Sure enough when he pushed the door handle open, he found his mother was sitting on the edge of the bed with her eyes fixed on his wedding photo with Jessica.
“Lexi, you are home,” Mrs. Anna immediately rubbed the tears that fell down her cheeks.
“Yes, Mom. I need to talk to you about something.” Lexi was done arguing with himself. What was wrong with his mother knowing the sadness and hurt he felt. Most importantly now, how to cure it.
“Tell me what’s going on, sit here!” his mom patted the spot next to her.
Lexi obeyed. Now mother and son were sitting together, side by side and hearts that were open to each other and would heal each other. They were looking for a solution to the storm that had just hit their family.
“I want to see Jessica, mom.” Lexi looked down, every time he heard and said that name, his heart felt heavy as much as he missed her now.
“Are you sure you’ll meet her? You know the risks, right? The Kim family won’t be that easy to open the door wide for you Lexi. If people used to think Jessica was lucky to have you. Now people will think you’re ignorant if you’re still after her!” Mrs. Anna said. That’s how it was.
“I want to fight for it, mom, I don’t care what people say. I don’t feel alive if Jessica isn’t by my side! I feel like I can only mourn sadness all day long. I need to see my wife, Mom. Jessica is my wife, I have the right to see her!” Lexi had made the right decision.
“When are you going to Singapore?” Mrs. Anna looked deeply into her son’s eyes. She thought Lexi went through his sadness alone.
“Two more days again, mom, before my wife’s eighteenth birthday party. Jessica would have her birthday, a real Birthday, ” Lexi revealed. Both corners of his lips widened. There’s a smiley face there. “What gift should I prepare for her?” Lexi asked although he was not sure that he could visit his wife, he would prepare for any condition.
“Ring. You remember you never chose a ring for her after you got married. Buy her a ring and put it on her finger,” Mrs. Anna answered. Consciously or not, Lexi did not know if the wife left her wedding ring in this room.
“Okay, mom.”
“Go see your dad! He has a partner who might be able to help you! Don’t get mad at him, until now I never suspected that your dad was the person behind the accident twelve years ago. Your dad is not a bad person Lexi.” Mrs. Anna did not want the son to constantly suspect her husband that would add to the burden on this family.
“Mom, I’m going to see Dad. Where is he?” he asked.
“Your dad is downstairs, if not in his room, maybe in the back garden,” she answered. Seeing her husband and child still having fights was a separate burden for the middle-aged woman.
Lexi went downstairs. He looked for his father at work, but he wasn’t there. Then he found his father sitting in the back. The view is empty looking at the pool. His footsteps were unable to awaken him from the reverie.
“Daddy, ” Lexi called to his father, sitting next to him.
“Lexi, since when have you been here?” Mr. Samuel tried to spread his lips and smiled.
“Just now, Dad.”Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
“Arsene said you were thinking about going to Singapore to see your wife. Is that true? Is that right?” Mr. Samuel, who almost gave up seeing Lexi who for a week was only in the room like people lost hope, was relieved to see his son’s condition now. If Lexi has come to terms with her injury. That kid, he was gonna do something. Especially to fight for what he really wanted.
“It’s in two days. I want to go there, dad, I want to see Jessica. At least I have to talk to her!” Lexi’s face lit up.
“Yes, what can I help you with? I would do anything for your happiness, son.” Mr. Samuel looked at Lexi, his eyes were different from the last time he saw him two days ago.
Lexi was just shut up. He didn’t know, but he was sure he would do anything to find Jessica.
“I have a friend who lives in the same building as the Kim family. Maybe this isn’t too helpful, but you’ll get a little information if you’re good at taking chances. You have to be careful. The Kim family is one of the wealthiest people in Singapore, and it’s no secret that Singapore’s upper classes have their own nondescript bodyguards. So it could be, you get caught before you get what you want. I advise you to stay alert and careful!” Mr. Samuel said. After all, he only supported Lexi’s every plan. The son understood. His intelligence was also not in doubt.
“Yes, dad, I understand.”
Lexi flinched, staring at the waves of water in the pool which was so slowly.
“I have to take a rest now, don’t sleep late, okay? Anyway I am sure you can do it Lexi, and Jessica, she loves you so much!” Mr. Samuel moved from his seat leaving his son alone.
Lexi nodded slowly. Yes, he hoped it was true, Jessica loved him, he missed her, he loved and desperately needed Jessica even without realizing it.
“This is the hot chocolate,” the maid said, who suddenly approached Lexi. The middle-aged woman looked very concerned about the master.
“Thank you,” Lexi said and let the maid sat beside him.
“Sir,” the maid called out to Lexi.
“what?”
“These two days I have often seen Mrs. Anna was crying, and Mr. Samuel, often alone here,” the maid told. “Is all this because of Miss Jessica’s departure?” the maid asked with a sob. He could no longer hold her tears.
“You must be patient, I will bring Jessica back!”
“Really? Miss Jessica will come back to this house?” the maid was acutely aware of the difference in the house after the young woman’s presence. The atmosphere of the house became warmer. Her cheerfulness was contagious to everyone who was nearby.
“Jessica will be coming home! I’ll try to bring her home!” Lexi promised.
the maid nodded confidently. She believed Lexi would keep his promise. Miss Jessica would come back and bring happiness to this house.
Lexi smiled, apparently he was not alone. He missed Jessica a lot. He was more confident that he would soon bring his wife home as soon as possible. He hoped so.
