Chapter 42 He Was There Every Time

Chapter 42 He Was There Every Time

Viola shivered in pain in his arms. Cold sweat ran down her forehead. Her voice was vague, “Don't go

to the hospital. I am fine.”

Instead of answering, Steven piled her into his car and said to Jordan, who had been waiting in the

front seat, “Go to the hospital.”

Viola had no strength to move, so she was forced to lean on his arms. Seeing that he was determined

to go to the hospital, she had to say, “I have a stomachache. I can only have injection in the hospital. I

am allergic to medicine. You might as well send me home and give me some food.”

Allergy?!

Steven looked sideways, his deep eyes seemed to flash with surprise, “How did you get through the

stomachache before?”

“Eat something and hold on firmly, there is nothing else I can do.” Viola smiled sadly.

He said nothing more, but tightened his arms and moved his body to make sure she was comfortable.

A convulsive throb of pain spread to her limbs again. She took a breath and hung her head in pain. She

didn't want Steven to see her like this. She said in a husky voice, “Steven, I don’t want to go to hospital,

I want to go home and have something to eat.”

“Jordan, go buy some food.” Steven finally relented.

Viola breathed a sigh of relief. She curled up in Steven's arms. Steven was like a warm flame to make

her cold body regain some warmth.

Jordan ran back after he got the food and drove to the city.

Viola looked up weakly. She could only see his thin, tightly pursed lips and the perfect line of his jaw.

The still, yellow lights kept flashing, casting his handsome, clear silhouettes over and over on the side

of the carriage.

“What are you looking at?” The corners of Steven's mouth were slightly slanted, and his words were

obviously spoiled. Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!

Viola lowered her head in a complex mood, speechless. She shuddered again with a spasm of pain,

and the cold sweat broke out on her forehead and back.

After getting out of the car, Steven carried her into the house.

“The food is good for your stomach. Can you sit up?” Steven asked as he opened the box.

For a moment, the cold living room was filled with the smell of food.

Viola moved her lips and managed to pull herself up, but she overestimated herself and was about to

fall down again. Steven grabbed her and put his arms around her, and she kept leaning on him again.

Viola's drawn face burst into blush instantly.

After all these years of handling business, when was it time for Steven to take care of her? She

blushed and felt so embarrassed that she wanted to crawl into a hole in the ground.

However, Steven did not feel improper. He enjoyed taking care of her in a considerate manner.

He had his sleeve up to half his arm, and the strong muscles of his forearm were visible. He held her in

one arm and fed her with a spoon in the other.

Viola felt that they did not close to this degree, but now in this situation, life mattered. She shut up and

had half a bowl of porridge, finally she restored some vitality.

“Why were you at the mansion?”

Viola wanted to ask why he showed up promptly every time she was in trouble. This strange

coincidence somehow made her heart pound faster.
