Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 1930

When Fitch emerged from the conference room, he immediately saw Sharon waiting in his office, her face dark with displeasure.

"Why is Zoey at your villa?" she demanded, her tone accusatory.

Fitch's expression turned cold at the mention of Zoey. "Did you go and start trouble with her?"

Sharon had initially planned to press further, but his demeanor sent a chill down her spine. She rarely saw her son display any emotion other than his usual calm. Fitch, along with his childhood friends lan and Tyler Bennitt, had grown up under her watchful eye. While the others went through phases of rebellion, Fitch always remained the picture of obedience and propriety. Seeing him angry was a rarity. "What do you mean 'start trouble'? She slapped me! I'm your mother, and she dared to strike me, showing no respect. And after we all thought she had died, her sneaking back like this clearly means she's trying to manipulate you! Fitch, I do not approve of her joining the Haskins family."

Fitch's face darkened as he slowly sat down in his office chair. "Stay away from her in the future."

Sharon thought she had misheard him. It took her a couple of minutes to process his words, and then, in shock, she exclaimed, "What did you say?"

"I won't let her come out to see you either. Whether you approve of her joining the Haskins family doesn't matter. I do. I approved it four years ago. Besides, we're still legally married. We're husband and wife." Sharon was livid. She had never seen Fitch so biased towards any woman before. "Fitch, don't you have any doubts about what happened four years ago? Her sudden reappearance, and now you're supporting her in everything. She's clearly aiming for this."From NôvelDrama.Org.

"Mom." Fitch's tone was ice-cold. "Don't bring up Zoey in front of me. I can't afford to lose her again, so I'll side with her unconditionally."

If it weren't for the lingering sunlight outside, Sharon would have thought she was in a nightmare. She had always wondered what kind of woman Fitch would marry. Given his personality, any decent and dignified woman suitable to be a wife would do; he never showed much interest in romantic affairs. It was hard for her to imagine he would ever speak of unconditional support for someone.

At a loss for words, Sharon's fingers trembled after a long silence. "You've fallen for her trap! That Zoey, she's playing a dangerous game. Fitch, let me tell you, I'll never show her any kindness. And Mia is back too. It's been four years, and that girl has been out there on her own. I didn't even know which country she was in. Now, it's time for her to come home, even if just for three days. Are you really going to let me go my whole life without seeing her?"

After saying her piece, Sharon coughed twice, overwhelmed by her emotions.

Fitch moved aside the documents in

front of him, his voice becoming even more detached. "Stay away for a month. Don't show your face to Zoey let the staff at the villa

know. You and Mia should keep your

distance."

Sharon was so angry she nearly passed out, but at least Mia was allowed to come back, avoiding the possibility of being turned away by Fitch's people the moment she landed. Suddenly, Sharon found herself at a loss for words. Her son had been completely bewitched by Zoey, beyond the reach of anyone else's advice. Biting her lip, she made her way to the airport. Fitch, no longer wanting to stay in the office, headed straight back to the villa.

Upon his arrival, Nolan immediately ran to him with complaints. "Mommy got hit."

Fitch's fingertips trembled as he made his way upstairs. Zoey was busy organizing books for them to read together the next day, thinking the footsteps belonged to a servant.

It wasn't until a hand gently grasped her chin that she realized it was Fitch. "Does it hurt?"

The slight swelling was still visible,

indicating Sharon's force. Zoey hadn't thought much of the slap, after all, she had retaliated. Now, with Fitch so close, her cheeks

flushed a deep red.

"It's fine, Mr. Haskins. Did I perhaps offend one of your guests? The lady seemed quite upset, so I..."

Before she could finish, he interrupted her. "It's okay. You did well."
