Dear Ex-wife Marry Me

Chapter 1953

She lunged forward, only to see Nolan standing protectively in front of Fitch.

Mia shoved him aside in a heartbeat, "You little wretch, get lost!"

Nolan, not being the tallest of figures, staggered from her push and hit his head on the table, blood immediately starting to flow.

Zoey, initially composed, turned pale at the sight.

"Nolan?"

A glint of triumph flashed in Mia's eyes as she raised her hand to slap.

"Ha, serves you right! I've always despised this little brat. What makes you think you, Zoey, can let your kid inherit the Haskins family fortune! Get lost, the farther you and your son go, the better!" Zoey was too concerned about Nolan's condition to dodge the slap, her cheek taking the full blow.

Mia, still not satisfied, grabbed a chair and aimed for her head.

The café erupted into screams, and someone had already called the police.Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.

"Bang!"

The chair crashed onto Zoey's head, her mind went blank, and she collapsed.

Sharon, witnessing the scene, felt her heart trembling with fear and quickly grabbed Mia's arm.

"Have you lost your mind? This could kill someone! Slapping her was one thing, but this... If your brother finds out, you'll be shipped off overseas again!"

Mia felt a sense of release from her anger.

"Let them send me away, I can live just fine abroad. And if Zoey ends up disabled or daft because of this, even better!"

The ambulance and the police arrived swiftly, taking Zoey and Nolan to the hospital.

The café's dispute was caught on camera, even Maja saw the footage and immediately rushed to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Fitch was also informed; he left a meeting midway and hurried to the hospital.

Zoey and Nolan were both in critical condition. Sharon sat alone in the hallway, shaking uncontrollably.

She had a premonition that this was the end.

Fitch was the first to arrive, having run several red lights.

Upon seeing Sharon, she stood up from her chair, startled.

"Fitch, let me explain."

Before she could finish, Fitch's gaze pierced her like a sword.

"Get lost."

Sharon went pale and trembled uncontrollably.

"It's a misunderstanding."

"I told you to get lost."

A bodyguard stepped forward immediately, and an assistant spoke up.

"Ma'am, whether you're innocent or not will be determined by the police. As for Miss Mia, she's already facing charges of assault with intent. If you care about her, it's time to hire a lawyer."

The implication was clear; Fitch wasn't planning on sending her away this time.

Sharon froze, disbelief in her eyes as she looked up at him.

"Fitch, what are you doing?"

But Fitch didn't even glance her way, instead sitting down quietly.

Tears streamed down Sharon's face, "You can't do this, Fitch."

But the bodyguard had already taken her by the arms, leading her away. Sharon felt weak, realizing Fitch was serious this time.

At the police station, Mia remained defiant until she realized Fitch had hired a lawyer to press charges against her. Only then did he mind start to clear.

What did this mean?

Why would her brother hire a lawyer?

What did "severe punishment" mean?

She understood every word, but together they seemed incomprehensible.

"Let me go, my brother won't treat me like this. Last time I screwed up big time, and he covered for me! He even got that wench Zoey jailed! He'll stand by me this time too, get out of my way, I need to talk to him!"

But the lawyer was all business.

Mia's legs gave out, and she collapsed to the floor, kneeling.
