Chapter 1195: Unbridled Prejudice (1)
Nico went downstairs to cook a midnight snack.
Micaela sat in front of her dressing mirror and removed her veil and those intricately woven loops of bridal hair.
I changed back into light house clothes.
After taking off this big wedding dress, Micaela felt much more comfortable.
There was a pile of cinnamon, peanuts and dates on the bed. Micaela took them all off the bed so that she wouldn’t accidentally pinch her bones in her sleep later, and took some of them downstairs to look for Nico.
Nico is cooking meatballs in the open American kitchen.
Micaela came over and asked, “What kind of stuffing?”
“Black sesame stuffing, do you like it?”
“Pretty good.”
Micaela crushed the cinnamon ball shells in her hand, peeled one and popped it into Nico’s mouth, who ate it without looking.
Cinnamon is very sweet.
Nico, not much of a sweet tooth, frowned slightly.
Micaela herself peeled off a cinnamon ball and ate it in her mouth. It was good for replenishing energy and it wasn’t too tiring to eat too much.
As Nico cooked the meatballs, he said to Micaela, “Grandma and Hud, I’ll ask Campoverde to send you to The Holy City tomorrow, and we’ll stay a while on Grape Island to get away for our honeymoon.”
Micaela nodded, put her arms around his waist and said, “Very well, all yours, Mr. Esequiel should also be back in England tomorrow, he has many things to do. By the way, Hud also goes back to England with Sr. Esequiel tomorrow, there in England, he will soon start school.”
Sr. Esequiel was Nico and Micaela’s celebrant, but Sr. Esequiel was busy and could not stay long in the country.
In Hud’s case, Micaela and Sr. Esequiel had previously helped him get a British domicile, and since he was studying in the UK and was starting school soon, it was natural that he could not stay in the country.
Nico looked down and kissed the center of her hair, looking at the boiling water in the pot. “If you miss Hud and Mr. Esequiel later, we’ll fly to England to see them and Hud can come to The Holy City in summer and winter. ”
“Well, but with you in the future, I’m afraid there will be much less thinking about other people. nico, you know it is you who has contracted many of my thoughts.”
Nico smiled arrogantly, “That’s right, don’t even look at who Master is, Master is your man. Think about Master, that’s what you must do.”
Micaela suddenly remembered as she leaned into his arms, “By the way, we can’t stay long on Grape Island either, and Sein said that with my tendency to hemolysis, it’s best to monitor hemolytic values at all times so as not to delay the situation. Also, I may have to start a blood prep.”
Nico took her slender wrist and touched it lovingly, saying, “If I still need you to prepare blood, what did I do when I spent a lot of money on that worldwide panda blood support group for you? It’s just that I don’t want you to have any more accidents, and I don’t want to see you go through a blood transfusion and prepare your own blood. It’s selfish of me, but Micaela, I can’t be selfless with you. You are not well, so how can I let you prepare your own blood. If the time comes for delivery, I will send someone to invite some of them to come and have them on hand in case of emergency. As for money, they can give as much as they want, and if there’s anything I can do to help, I’ll return the favor.”
How could Micaela not like this blatant favoritism, selfish though it was?
Micaela wrapped her arms around his neck, stood on tiptoe, kissed his thin lips and said reassuringly, “Nico, I’ll be fine, I promised you I’d be safe and well.”
Knowing he was worried about her pregnancy and childbirth, he also knew all her worries.
Nico put his arm around her waist and looked at her, finally sighing helplessly, “Saying you don’t want to have children and you still want to be a desperate woman.”
Nico reached out and gently caressed Micaela’s flat belly, warning the baby in her belly, “You better behave yourself, if you make my wife suffer, I’ll kick your ass on your way out!”.
Micaela laughed at his fierce look, “She’s only a month old, she’s not even a person yet, she’s a newly matured fertilized egg at best, she can’t hear you.”
“Yeah, what am I fighting with something that’s not human?”
Something that’s not human.
Micaela was amused, “Nico, you talk about your own children like that?”
Nico lowered his dark eyes a little as he looked at Micaela and said, “I seem to have a hard time liking someone who isn’t you, and probably not too much of a father, and it would be harder for me to like him if he dared to put you through that.”
“It doesn’t matter, because I probably wouldn’t love her any more than I love you, who let all my affection go to you. But, as parents, we’re not as bad as Beltran and Carlita anyway. It’s just that there’s not as much cuddling and attention, so let’s let it be, how can a child not grow up bad in a family where the parents love each other.”
Nico pressed his lips together in a smile and looked down at Micaela’s flat little belly and teased, “Do you think he’ll hear us and turn around and come back for us?”
Micaela reached out and touched his tummy, saying softly, “Be good and don’t make your father unpleasant.”
Nico reached out and took Micaela in his arms, but couldn’t help complaining, “Hey, we’re having a good time together, but we have to have a baby. I put up with it just for you. If he really dares to torture you, I’m afraid I won’t be able to resist.”
Micaela reached out and patted him on the back to calm him, “No, he won’t.”
Before long, the meatballs were cooked.
Nico poured a bowl of meatballs and carried it to the kitchen table.
He is not hungry and watches Micaela eat.
Micaela sometimes takes a bite of the dumpling and passes it to his mouth for him to take a bite too.
After finishing dinner, Nico takes Micaela in his arms and heads to the bedroom. “Tired from the day, go take a hot bath.”
After showering and washing up, Nico and Micaela lay down on the big, fluffy bed.
Turn off the lights and rest.
Micaela lay in Nico’s arms and soon fell asleep. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
Nico was a little sleepless with a hand on the back of his neck and an arm around Micaela.
Staring at the ceiling chandelier and meditating.
After a while, Micaela , who had been watching him sink into sleep, gave him a firm hug.
Too afraid of loss.
Even when she gives birth, she’s scared to death.
Fear to the point of not wanting to have children.
After a long while, Nico’s big hand touched the small part of her belly, gently touched it, and nonchalantly threw a sentence to the boy, “Behave yourself, if you dare to throw my wife, I will make you suffer in the future.”
After speaking in a fierce tone, he was silent for a while and added in a low voice: “And never … be safe. If anything happens to you, Micaela will be angry, so don’t bother your mother, okay?”.
On the wedding night, the sounds of the seagulls and the waves outside were quiet and welcoming.
Nico wrapped his arms around the person in his arms and murmured with a sigh, “Just this one last time, putting you in danger, never again.”
He had no idea how scared he was.
When he heard her say she was pregnant, she laughed, but he, so to speak, couldn’t laugh anymore and became more nervous than if a bullet had gone through his ear.
