Dirty Little Secret

Chapter 58

Unice’s PoV

The film was enjoyable. I’ve already finished my cheeseburger and drinks, and we’re waiting for the credits. I poke Ace, and he looks at me while adjusting his suit attire.

“Did you like the film?” I inquired as he mended himself.

“Yes, I enjoy your scream as well.” Ace had teased me, so I gently slapped his arm as he giggled.

“Stop making fun of me! There is a jump scare, but don’t worry, I’m fine.” I said to Ace as he stood up.

“I believe there are no closing credits; let’s go now.” Ace pointed out, and I stood up to retrieve my bag from my seat.

“The main protagonist died as well, so I don’t expect a sequel,” I said to Ace as we walked to the exit.

After we exit, he stretches his arms, and we begin walking. I’m not sure where we’re going, but I believe he’ll invite me to dinner at this mall.

“Are you okay with us eating dinner here at the mall?” Ace proposed.

“Without a doubt! This is regarded as an ideal date!” I exclaimed,

“Since you proposed to me,” he smiled and took my hand in his.

“Let’s go, my future wife,” Ace teased as I laughed, and we began to walk out of the cinema area.

“What time is it exactly? Before we begin our meal, “Ace looks at his wristwatch when I ask him.

“It’s around 5 p. m., and it’s still early. Do you think we should go shopping before we eat?” Ace inquired after I had finished answering my question.

“What are we going to spend our money on this time?” I inquired of him.

“Anyway I’d like to buy some new clothes for myself since I bought some clothes for you last time,” Ace responded and as we walked by, I noticed a men’s clothing store.

“What kind of clothing do you require? Business or Casual Attire?” I inquired, and he noticed I was looking at a men’s clothing store with various styles.

“For example, if you want to go on a date, I can dress casually,” Ace replied, and I nodded.

“All right, let’s go inside so you can pick out your clothes,” I suggested to him as I pointed to the men’s clothing store. A sales lady greeted us as we entered, and a salesman guarded the store’s merchandise.

“Tell me what color you like, and I’ll pick the best casual style for you,” I said to Ace as he browsed the store.

“Blue, green, and gray are my favorite colors,” Ace replied and I nodded as I looked at the clothes; it would take some time for me to choose a design that would suit Ace.

After a few minutes, I had already chosen blue, green, and gray long-sleeved clothes for Ace and his shirt. When he looked at me, I noticed he was looking at the fitted bomber jacket.

“Fit this in the fitting room so I can see if this design fits you,” I told him, and he grabbed the clothes I had chosen for him.

“Wait for me; I’ll try everything first,” Ace replied, and I sat down with the sales lady beside me.

“Do you want a pair of shoes for your boyfriend, ma’am?” The salesperson inquires.

“Do you have blue, green, and gray in your collection?” I inquired.

“Yes, we have those colors and also for his shoe size,” the saleswoman replied.

“I want to see it,” I replied, and she nodded as she went to the men’s shoe section, where I saw her select a shoe I needed to see.

“This is the most recent pair of shoes we have, ma’am; what size are your husband’s shoes?” I was taken aback when she addressed Ace as my husband.

“He’s not yet my husband, but I know his shoe size is around 11,” I told her, and she nodded.

“This shoe size is 10, so I need to pick a new size please wait,” the sales lady explained as she went to the shoe section and asked the salesman to bring a size 11.

Ace came out of the fitting room wearing the blue design long sleeves I chose for him, and he smiled back at me.

“You look cute in that blue!” He was speechless because I admired him.

“If it’s cute, I’ll look gay, and I don’t want that, so maybe I’ll try the gray color.” Ace sighed as he returned to the dressing room.

What’s the problem with blue? It is appropriate for him. I should have mentioned that he looks awesome in long blue sleeves.

After a few minutes, Ace exited the fitting room and showed me the gray long-sleeve color and the design I chose for him.

“This gray color looks great on you and suits you perfectly!” I pointed it out to him, and he did the posing before returning to the fitting room.

“Mam, this is the size 11 for the shoes you want,” the saleswoman said as she approached me and handed me the shoe box.

“Thank you; I will inform him about these shoes,” I replied, and he thanked me as she walked away.

Ace was happy posing in front of me as he exited the fitting room wearing the light green long sleeve. Why do I feel sad as if this will never happen again?

“That looks great on you as well!” He went back inside after I exclaimed.

Ace emerged from the fitting room, dressed in his suit, and approached me, surprised to see the box of shoes.

“Did you pick that for me?” Ace asked, and I nodded as I passed it over to him to try on.

“The sales lady asked if I wanted a pair of shoes for you as well, so I said yes,” I told him, and he sat beside me.

“Let me try it,” he said as he removed his shoes and put on the rubber shoes I had chosen for him, and I saw him smile.

“I like it, and it fits me well; let’s get this as well.” Ace said as he tried to walk on the rubber shoes I had chosen for him, and I nodded as he removed them and put them back on the box.

Ace and I stood up and went to the counter, where he picked up his wallet and paid with his credit card. After he pays, the salesperson prepares to pack it, and the salesperson thanks us as we leave the store.

“I’m going to tell you something important while we’re roaming.” Ace said something unexpectedly.

“Let’s go to the food court, and you can tell me what you need to tell me,” I suggested to him, and he nodded.

“All right, let’s go; I’ll lead the way.” As we began to walk to the food court, he held my hand.

We arrived at the food court and looked for a vacant seat; when we found one, we went there, and I sat first.

“It’s already 6 p. m., so I believe we should go and get some food. Perhaps we can have dinner here already,” Ace proposed.

“Sure, you can order food now. I want the same food as yours,” I replied, and he placed the bag above the table.

He went to a food store; there were so many foods to choose from. I picked up my phone and went to social media. Maybe he’ll tell me about Edward and the plan tomorrow.

Ace returned a few minutes later with a tray containing our food; he set it down, and I put my phone in my bag. He gave me my food the same way he would eat it. He gave me a spoon and fork.

“You’re going to Edward’s company tomorrow and tell him I’m going to give up. This is the location of his company.” Ace informed me and handed me a piece of paper with the address on it.

“Will I be traveling alone? What if he doesn’t believe me and kills me right away?” I start to worry and question him.

“He won’t do that because he knows you’re the person I most trust.” Ace explained, and he was correct.

“After I invite him, I’ll give him my phone number so he can call me.” I inquired, and he shook his head.

“Just invite him, and I know he’ll come to my mansion,” Ace said, and I nodded. He then began to eat, and I followed suit.

“What should I do if his son works for his company?” I was curious.

“If you see one of Edward’s familiar men, you can ask him you want to talk with Edward just the two of you without his son,” Ace clarifies.

“I understand, and I will comply. Will you be working tomorrow?” When I asked him, he shook his head.

“Max and Charlie will handle the company tomorrow; I’m going to stay at our house tomorrow so we can prepare ourselves,” Ace reassured. I nodded, knowing he would prepare for the fight between them.

“Tell him to come to my mansion without his men,” Ace spoke again, and I nodded.
