The old woman reminded Nancy of another old woman from Stream Village. Both of them were bad. Nancy was always bullied by her grandson. But she scolded and cursed Nancy instead of her grandson. She also pinched Nancy and it really hurt.

The old woman kept cursing and it was intolerable to the ear. So Marcus put his hands over Nancy's ears.
