Chapter 961 Pay the Piper

The assistant began to panic as he saw Rowen greet Maximilian in such a modest manner. He just

couldn't imagine how such a plain and characterless man could ever get acquainted with Rowen.

With a sip of saliva swallowed down his throat, he felt rumpled and realized that he had gotten himself

messed with a tough one.

As their faces twisted, those strong fellows gasped in panic and could tell from the voice that the man

from the other end was Rowen. Then, hostilely, they turned to the assistant.

They thought that the assistant had just considered them as a tool to fight against Maximilian, a man

"What? You're not kidding, aren't you?" Said Rowen, in a trembling tone out of anger, "Put him on!"

Maximilian handed the phone over to the assistant and smiled, "He is calling you."

The assistant shuddered and hesitated with his hands trembling, daring not to take the phone.

"Well, we can put him on speakerphone, since he is just beside me." Maximilian said plainly.

"secretary Hayes," Howled Rowen wrathfully from the other end of the phone, "how dare you ever

offend my friend Mr. Lee?"

this thing so seriously.

"Please, Rowen, forgive me. I dared not to do that again!" Cried secretary Hayes.

"You thought that you could just fool me and escape your doom in such an easy way, didn't you? Not

this time! You must pay for everything you have just done today!" Shouted Rowen.

to beg for mercy from him.

As they heard the threatening of Maximilian, those fellows laughed and looked

at Maximilian banteringly.

"So, you think you are tough, don't you? Maybe we guys should teach you a lesson." Said those

fellows, with their fists clenched.

In their eyes, Maximilian was just nothing but a little pathetic bug that they could easily take down.

Suddenly, a strong man stepped forwards and threw a punch towards Maximilian.

The punch was so fast and powerful that even the air was in howling rushed to Maximilian together with

it.

However, he didn't expect that Maximilian, looking at the man calmly, grabbed his arm precisely and

threw him away.

Having not realized what was going on, the man was thrown away and fell down to the ground on his

back.

The people around burst into laughter towards the clownish scene.

Those fellows, seeing that their fellow was taken down by the man, were extremely furious — they

couldn't believe that someone would ever dare to fight against them.

Wrathfully, they then rushed to Maximilian and attempted to take him down.

Seeing that, Maximilian laughed, and thought that they were such a group of naive fellows trying to

fight him — as he threw a punch at them, it was time for him to fight back.

The powerful strike successfully stunned those fellows. Not after a while, those fellows were all taken

down by Maximilian and had no more strength to continue the fight.

"How dare you, fucker! Do you know who I am?" The head of those fellows climbed up staggeringly

and said, with his eyes wrathfully fixed on Maximilian.

Maximilian smiled, looking at the man.

"I'm the one who was in charge of the street! And my big brother was the right hand of Rowen!" Said

the man.

Such announcement was quite familiar to Maximilian. He smiled helplessly and was tired of hearing the

alike threatening over and over again.

The people around, sympathetically looking at Maximilian, clearly knew the background of the man,

and all thought that Maximilian was a fool to ever mess with such a dreadful bully.

In the man's head, he could already imagine the scene where Maximilian knelt before him and begged

for mercy, which was exactly the outcome that he yearned for.
