” would you like a drink,” he said as we walked through the house.

I didn’t see Harry anywhere, maybe he didn’t want him getting involved but that doesn’t really explain why Trevor is here.

” sure, I’ll have some lemonade if you have some” it was hot out today so I needed something cold and refreshing.

Leon walked over to the fridge and started making me my drink. I looked around hoping t see Trevor. Even though Trevor is a pain in the ass I do actually miss him. He reminds me of Leon back in high school with the way he behaves.

” looking for me?” I heard him call from behind me. I turned around and he was standing behind me in a hoodie and shorts.

He gave me no choice as he wrapped his arms around me hugging me tightly.

” okay that’s enough” we heard Leon say but Trevor kept his hold on me going against Leon’s wishes.

” Trevor” Leon warned. I laughed pulling away and stepping back.

Trevor folded his arms “still so possessive, well call me if you need me” I had thought Trevor was leaving but he grabbed an apple from the table and went into the lounge.

I turned around to Leon, he had my drink in his hand.

Leon grabbed my hand and walked towards the lounge. Trevor was no longer there which gave us the privacy that we needed.

I sat down crossing one leg over another. He could barely look me in the eyes.

Leon moved closer to me grabbing my hand. “she just got too physical and like I said just couldn’t take rejection easily” why can’t he just come out with it.

Knowing her she’s probably never faced rejection in her life.

“it was my fault for sending her wrong signals like there was hope but she knew that I was invested in you Liz” I know that if he had been strict with their partnership whatever they want to call it. Things would’ve been different.

Leon brought my hand to his lips “you were always my first choice” he tried to reassure me. I say tried because surely, I should’ve been the only choice.

“a part of you must’ve liked the idea of being with Emily. Maybe she wasn’t your first choice, but she still was a choice Leon” I said to him bringing my hand back and placing it on my lap.

I could see that he was hurt by my actions.

I tried not to act on it.

“it’s not new information that I wanted more of your attention Liz and im embarrassed, really” you definitely should be.

” she was a distraction and ” I had to stop him.

I stood up ” you keep talking about distractions, Leon. What’s so bad wit facing your problems head-on instead of needing a distraction” Leon looked up at me.

” it’s the only way I know Liz” he defended himself.

” That was a good comeback, really snappy Leon but you have to start facing your problems. We had one of the pettiest fights and you ruined something special by making a few stupid decisions”

He grabbed my hand again ” because I hear hope in your words, Liz. I honestly thought this, us was over” he smiled kept getting wider.

” you can start being hopeful when you tell me what exactly happened and don’t skip over the details this time,” I said leaning back crossing my arms over my chest.

Yes, I technically have already forgiven him but I need the details. Emily can think she can walk away just like that but im about to give her a reality check.

If she thinks I will let her work with Leon where she can try and seduce him shes got another thing coming.

” hey hey Liz calm down” Leon ran after me as I practically ran towards the door.

” calm down? You were drunk and practically sleeping and she was on route to having your cock down her throat”

The main door was fully opened. A smiling Trevor standing there with the door opened. At least he wasn’t going to stop me.

I drove over to the office, I knew that Leon wouldn’t be far behind.
