Fall for You After Divorce

Chapter 34

Chapter 34

The unfriendliness in Maxim’s eyes intimidated Briana. The moment his eyes fell on her, she felt she couldn’t breathe.

As Maxim moved near, Briana felt a chill.

He was very mad!

To be precise, Briana had never seen Maxim so angry.

He stopped in front of Briana and said with a long good sneer, “How dare you go to the courthouse to have the divorce papers notarized!”

Briana didn’t need to ask around to know Kendra did that behind Maxim’s back. He found it out so he came to Briana. Briana had no idea who told him. Property of Nô)(velDr(a)ma.Org.

Briana hid the divorce papers behind her and looked up into his eyes without guilt.

“Mr. Yoder, are you coming with me?”

Maxim noticed her stealthy movement and said coldly, “Briana, although you have the divorce papers signed by me, you can’t divorce me without my consent.”

Briana tightened her grip on the papers. “What would it take for you to consent? Do I have to actually sleep with another man?”

Maxim laughed angrily and warned her.

“You can try and bet on his family’s lives.”

Briana compressed her lips, knowing that she wouldn’t get a divorce

today. She didn’t want to waste her time here anymore.

“Are you done? I have to go.”

When Maxim saw the Lamborghini behind Briana, his face darkened.

“Whose car is this?”

Briana had been unemployed for several years and had only rejoined the workforce recently, so there was no way she could afford the car.

Briana smiled, “It’s none of your business.”

With that, she drove away, leaving behind the grumpy and jealous Maxim.

His eyes narrowed as he watched the Lamborghini disappear. “Rayan, find out who owns this Lamborghini!”

Zane stopped Briana when she had just arrived at the building of MY Corporation.

Zane was surprised to see her driving a Lamborghini. “Briana, did Maxim buy you this car so you can drive it to work?”

Zane had done his research: Briana was just a junior worker at MY Corporation. Zane guessed she took this job just to pass the time.

Briana ignored his question and asked with a frown, “What’s the matter?”

She didn’t expect to see Zane here.

Zane wore a gentle smile and said in a soft voice, “I tried to call you but couldn’t get through these days, so here I am. Can you come home

this weekend? Your grandparents really miss you.”

Briana was silent for a second and then looked at Zane. “Got it. I have to go back to work.”

“Good. Then I’ll tell the driver to pick you up this Saturday.”

After Zane left, she turned and walked into the office.

Soon it was time to get off work. Briana did not want to go back to face Maxim, so she decided to work overtime.

At ten in the evening, when she was about to go home, she got a phone call from Melody.

“Briana, I’m so sad. Can you come?”

Melody asked with a sob. Worried, Briana answered, “Where are you now? I’ll be there in a minute.”

Melody told her the location of the club and hung up.

Briana drove to the club, and she was worried and suspicious all the way. She thought, “Melody is supposed to have fun with her boyfriend at her birthday party at this time.”

Briana frowned at what she saw in the private room. It was a mass, with bottles all over the floor.
