Chapter 230 Back to the Good Old Times

Shawn took Norah's hand and said slowly, "I had it custom-made when you first left the country. I went

to pick it up this time."

The first time she went abroad?

If Norah remembered correctly, she and Shawn had just been together for a few days back then.

"That early?" Norah asked with a smile.

"Not too early." Shawn stopped and looked at her seriously as he said, "Miss Norah, this is already late

for me."

"But we've only been together for a short time!"

"Twenty-two days."

The moment Norah heard that number, she froze.

She always thought that when a woman was in love, she would pay more attention to these numbers

and remember the dates of some anniversaries very accurately.

But men would normally neglect them.

"How do you remember it so correctly?"

"I remember every day I've been with you very clearly."

After saying that, Shawn added, "Norah, it's not early at all for me. You wouldn't know that since the

moment I decided to be with you, I was ready to spend the rest of my life with you."

"I didn't do it on a whim. Rather, I have thought about it thoroughly. I knew you were the person I

wanted to be with."

Shawn said in a firm tone.

Norah looked up and saw the bright moon hanging in the sky.

Looking at the moon, she suddenly felt that the night was gentle and romantic.

She felt that even the air smelled sweet.

Then Norah got out of the car. She was surprised when she saw the familiar scene in front of her.

She looked at a snack street nearby and asked, "How did we get here?"

In any case, Norah hadn't expected Shawn to bring her to the high school.

"Didn't you say you first met me at school? I want to relive those moments with you." Shawn took her

hand and walked forward.

Norah blushed. She let Shawn lead her along like a cute little girl without hesitation.

This was the busiest time of the night for this place. Stalls were set up in the street. Groups of students

were sitting together and chatting over their food.

There were some young couples just like them. The boys were leading the girls through the street and

looking for tasty snacks.

Watching this scene brought back memories of her high school days.

It felt like she was back in high school again.

She felt youthful and lively, especially when she saw how energetic those students were.

However, Norah was a little embarrassed.

She reached out, gently tugged on Shawn's sleeve, and said, "Wouldn't it be a little inappropriate for us

two?"

"Why?" Shawn raised an eyebrow.

Norah complained, "We're not students anymore. But now we pretend to be."

Shawn laughed softly at her words.

He then reached up, cupped Norah's little face in his hands, and rubbed it gently.

While rubbing her face and smiling, Shawn said, "Let's see which part of you looks young."

He gave her a scrutinizing look. Then, he put down his hands and answered seriously, "I'm done

examining. Miss Norah, you look youthful from head to toe. You look no older than those students. "

Norah was pleased to hear his compliments.

When she thought of something, she covered her lips and dropped her gaze to Shawn. "You'd better

examine yourself if you still look like a student."

"I don't need to."

"Why?"

"Because I look attractive, mature, gentle, and handsome. Besides, with a face like mine, it doesn't

matter if I look like a student or not. I can sit here without any problem."

The moment Norah heard his words, she immediately stopped in her tracks.

Reaching out, she gave Shawn's face a firm squeeze and said, "Let's see who's so self-absorbed."

"Miss Norah, please watch your language. I'm confident, not narcissistic."

Norah was amused by his words. She burst into laughter. "You're a narcissist! A big one."

The moment Norah finished speaking, she heard a voice. ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

"Wow! Yolanda, look! Look! The guy in front is so handsome! Is he from our school? How come I've

never seen him before?"

Yolanda replied, "I doubt it. Just look at his clothes. He probably graduated ages ago. He looks nothing

like a student."

"Who cares? He's handsome."

Shawn was in a good mood as he heard the conversation between those two schoolgirls.

Those two girls continued to chat as if they hadn't noticed Shawn.

"Look at that girl. She's wearing a pink dress. So cute. I wonder where she got it from."

Norah was speechless.

Why didn't they say she was cute and beautiful?

Why did they only comment on her clothes?

As if reading her mind, Shawn comforted Norah gently. "Norah, you are the most beautiful girl in my

heart."

Norah smiled as the corners of her mouth turned up.

The two of them had finished walking down the street. Then Shawn asked her, "What do you want to

eat?"

Norah made a turn and looked around.

Finally, she looked over at the barbecue stall not far away. She pointed her finger at it and said, "How

about some barbecue? Do you mind?"

After asking him, Norah was a bit agitated.

She knew Shawn rarely ate this kind of food.

He usually had a balanced diet.

But Shawn didn't answer her at all. And he had taken her by the hand and walked over.

Then the two were standing in front of the barbecue stall. He asked, "Which ones do you want?"

Norah had been dumbfounded.

Was it really that easy?

She had expected to have a hard time persuading Shawn. And she'd even had her words ready.

But he had agreed to eat with her without any hesitation.

After all the kebabs were cooked, Shawn held Norah in one hand and the kebabs in the other. Every

time Norah finished eating a kebab, he handed her another one.

They looked like a young couple in love.

Seeing that he hadn't eaten a single kebab, Norah asked tentatively, "Do you want to try one?"

"Sure."

Shawn nodded and took a bite of chicken gristle.

Norah was surprised that Shawn agreed so readily. She had expected Shawn to say no at least twice,

so she didn't expect him to agree immediately.

After tasting it, Shawn seemed to savor it carefully. Then, with a straight face, he said, "I must say it

tastes good. No wonder you like it. But I'm worried about the oil the vendor used."

Norah pouted and said, "I loved this when I was in college."

"If you want to eat it later, I'll cook it for you at home. It's healthier for us to cook on our own."

"You'll cook for me?" Norah asked as she blinked.

Shawn nodded and said, "Yeah. Nancy, you're a terrible cook."

Norah was about to laugh, but she couldn't at that moment.

"Is my cooking that bad?" She curled her lips and asked.

Shawn replied seriously, "Well. Not just bad. It is terrible."

Norah immediately stomped her foot in anger.

After the barbecue, the two of them ate a lot of other food.

Norah was full and was about to go home.

Suddenly, Shawn pulled her and said, "Let's go inside."

"Can we go in?"

Shawn said, "I have an idea. Wait here."

He came back after a few minutes. He smiled and nodded at Norah, signaling that he had arranged

everything and they could go in.

Norah remembered the reason he gave last time and asked curiously, "What reason did you use this

time?"
