Chapter 277 Accidentally Pulled Her Earlobes

"Shawn, don't be so stubborn."

"But I am stubborn. Since you don't want it, there's no point in keeping it."

Saying that, he reached out to take the earring off Norah's ear.

Perhaps out of impatience or anger, he accidentally pulled Norah's earlobe down when removing the

earrings.

"Ah, it hurts..." Norah instantly frowned in pain.

Her face was filled with agony.

Shawn immediately stopped his actions and apologized, "I'm sorry, Norah. Don't move, let me have a

look."

"Then hurry! It hurts so much."

Tears started flowing from Norah's eyes due to the pain.

Shawn felt even more remorseful.

He carried Norah to the sofa and went to find the first aid kit.

Then he used a flashlight to examine the wound on Norah's earlobe carefully.

As soon as he looked, Shawn's heart sank. And it felt like his heart was being torn apart.

Her fair and delicate earlobes were now swollen with traces of blood.

Without a doubt, it was caused by his carelessness while removing the earring.

"I'll disinfect it first, then remove the earring, and apply some medicine." Shawn carefully said.

Norah nodded, and her voice became weak, "Okay."

During the disinfection, when the alcohol touched the torn wound, Norah felt stung.

"If it hurts, let me know. Don't endure it. You can hold onto my arm."

"Okay."

After disinfection, Shawn carefully removed both earrings.

And then, he applied medicine to her earlobes.

After the ointment was applied, she felt a refreshing and comfortable sensation from her burning

earlobes. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

And the pain was also greatly relieved.

Looking at the earrings in his hand, Shawn quietly placed them in the box and stubbornly handed it to

Norah, "Even though you can't wear them for a while, this is for you. I still hold my opinion that if you

don't like them, you can throw them away like garbage."

"I've also said that I can't accept them."

Both of them looked at each other with determination in their eyes.

Two seconds, five seconds, ten seconds...

Just when Norah thought Shawn would take back the earrings and change his mind, suddenly, he

reached out and threw the earrings out of the window.

Norah was immediately startled.

"Shawn, you're crazy." She looked at him and couldn't help but shout.

After that, she quickly calmed herself down.

She remembered that this was often portrayed in TV dramas.

But in the end, it would go as the male lead was intentionally scaring the female lead. It wasn't like he

really threw that away. He just acted like that.

So, Norah held onto a glimmer of hope and asked, "You didn't actually throw them away, right? Where

are they, show them to me?"

"I threw them away." He answered shortly.

Norah didn't believe it though. She first checked the box, but it was empty.

Then she searched him carefully, like checking every pocket of his suit. But after three rounds, she

didn't find that box.

"I already told you that I threw it away."

"Shawn, you've truly gone mad. How could you just throw them away like that? You earned your money

through hard work. How could you waste your money like that?"

Norah was genuinely angry, and she truly didn't expect him to be so resolute.

After saying that, without thinking, she pushed open the door and ran outside.

Shawn immediately chased after her, asking, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to retrieve them. I can't bear to see you waste like this."

The night wind was strong, blowing fiercely against Norah's delicate and slender body.

As soon as she took a few steps outside, Norah's body was immediately covered with a thick down

jacket.

Shawn personally helped her zip up and then put on a hat for her.

The down jacket was long, reaching all the way to her ankles, wrapping her body tightly.

He put a scarf on her as well, and then held her hand and walked forward.

"Why?" Norah asked.

"To find the earrings. Didn't you say you wanted to find them back?" Shawn replied.

"Just to find a box. Why do you have to make such a big deal?" Norah questioned.

"I like it." He raised an eyebrow.

The two of them arrived at the spot directly in front of the window.

But as soon as they approached, Norah frowned. The ground in front of her was either covered in

grass or trees, and even though it wasn't like finding a needle in a haystack to find a pair of small

earrings in there, it still wasn't an easy task.

Finding them was truly difficult.

Norah turned on a flashlight and started searching through the grass, earnestly looking for them.

After bending down and searching for a long time, she stood up and realized that Shawn was still

standing there, not helping at all.

"Why don't you join in? We can search together. More people means more power," Norah suggested.

Shawn, however, rejected her directly. "Since you don't want them, even if we find them, it doesn't

mean anything to me. I would still throw them away."

Norah didn't say anything then and continued to search.

"Ten minutes later... Twenty minutes later... An hour later...

Norah had almost searched the very grassland in front of her multiple times. And she still hadn't found

those earrings."

How could someone force another person to accept a gift?

Who would go out at midnight and search for a pair of earrings in the grass?

Perhaps due to the low temperature, even though she was wearing a hat, the cold wind blew into her

ears. She felt her ears freezing and in pain.

And now, on top of not finding the ring, Norah felt like she was on the verge of breaking down.

Unable to hold it in any longer, she clenched her fist and started punching Shawn, crying, "It's all your

fault! While I could be sleeping in a warm and cozy bed, I'm here searching for a pair of earrings."

"Shawn, you're so mean. Do you know that? Besides, who gives gifts like you do?"

After venting her frustration, Norah felt slightly better.

But she didn't want to see him right now.

So she silently turned around, facing away from him.

Shawn reached out and gently wrapped his arms around her, saying in a deep voice, "I gave them to

you as a pair. You said you didn't want them, and they were heartbroken. That's why you can't find

them. Because they don't want you to find them. They are afraid they will be thrown away again."

"But that was before. I didn't say I wanted to find them just to throw them away now, did I?"

"So, are you saying that if you find them, you'll accept them?"

Norah nodded softly, replying, "You could say that."

"Norah, remember what you said. I'll search with you."

"Okay."

Both of them turned on the flashlight on their phones and resumed the search.

After about five or six minutes, Shawn pushed aside a clump of grass in front of him and suddenly

exclaimed, "Norah, come here quickly. I think I found them!"

"Really?"

Norah immediately ran over, filled with excitement.

When she saw those familiar earrings gleaming in front of her eyes, Norah was truly moved to tears.

"Finally, we found them. We finally found them."

Norah crouched down, carefully picked up the two earrings, and gently placed them in Shawn's hands

like precious treasures.
